  1. Actually, you can hear Chris yelling "Mylo Xyloto" during Fix You at Lollapallooza! Here is the video, go straight to 2:35 [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHMCV2-Dkdk]Coldplay - Fix You recorded live at Lollapalooza, August 5th, 2011 - YouTube[/ame]
  2. Actually, I think Mitchell is right and Chris yelled out Mylo Xyloto. GREAT FIND!

  6. Arcade Fire - Empty Room vs. Strawberry Swing - Coldplay
  7. funniest thread title ever.
  8. Beautiful post by ApproximatelyInfinite up there. And I concur with the fact that they played too many new songs.
  9. BTW, we all know that Debs is a little bit sick these days. So thank you Debs for coming here and sharing your thoughts with us. I think I can talk for the whole Coldplaying.com community when I wish you a prompt recovery.
  10. Debs is also right in many ways. I would have been a major disappointment to see them at the festivals but with no new songs being played. My only hope is that they reserved the best ones for the Mylo Xyloto release. At the end of the day, there is no bigger truth that we will hear the live and studio versions over and over again regardless of when they are released. I couldn't know that there's a new Coldplay song out there and refrain from hearing it. It would be an unbearable temptation. If finally Mylo Xyloto comes out, and we have already heard almost all the album, then we must hope for another EP, like Prospekt's March. I saw an old interview today where Chris said that those kind of quiet releases where intended for hard core fans like us. At the end of the day, let's be grateful that there is a new album coming and we will have a new Coldplay era. ENJOY everybody!
  11. new Coldplay merchandise webpage! mylo xyloto themed! http://coldplay.fanfire.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/Store.woa/wo/19.11.23.7.0.7
  12. Oh, sorry for the confusion. I actually thought that Slow Readers Club was actually a readers club and not a music band.
  13. I guess you're right in a sense. I think Holmes is thinking more on expanding the fan base than pleasing hard-core fans who obviously have heard the new songs non-stop since they were recorded at Rock am Ring. In any case, I am looking forward to hear the studio versions of many songs, and I think I will take a few weeks rest from Coldplay before the album comes out since I know that once it comes out, I will be listening to it non-stop for many many months.
  14. I don't know. Maybe she was given a CD with all the songs, but not in the final order.
  15. And later on she tweeted that she's sick but already gave a first listen to the new record. She said "Like". So I guess it is finished.
  16. I think it is actually pretty cool. Btw, Andresfe, bienvenido a Coldplaying.com Hope you have a great time!
  17. Live is much better. I really hope they mix it again for the album.
  18. Gary Barlow has revealed that Chris Martin's band Coldplay inspired his return to the stage with Take That. The singer-songwriter said he was perfectly happy working behind the scenes until he listened to Coldplay's hit debut Parachutes. He told The Sun: 'I spent years telling everyone around that I didn't want to be an artist again. I didn't sing for six or seven years. 'I seldom sang on demos and if I could get someone else to sing them I would, right until I heard the first Coldplay album... I thought for the first time, "I could see myself doing that again".' Barlow recently completed Take That's record-breaking Progress tour with Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen. Williams who rejoined the band to hit the road said recently his ego stopped him from returning to Take That full-time. He said: 'The gigs have been absolutely amazing - the best period of my career so far with those boys. 'Sharing it with somebody is much better than doing it by yourself, but then ego, want, need and a whole heap of other things kick in. 'And you start preparing for your own tour... and the other boys are going away for a bit and I don't really know what's on the cards with them. 'But we have to ride again, we have to - it's too much fun.' (http://www.metro.co.uk/music/872418-gary-barlow-coldplay-inspired-my-return-to-take-that)
  19. Will the boys fight back with the release of Mylo Xyloto? Jay-Z and Kanye West's joint album 'Watch The Throne' has broken Coldplay's record for the most downloaded album on iTunes in its first week of release. 'Watch The Throne', released last week (August 8), has now been downloaded 290,000 times, beating the record set by Coldplay's 2009 album 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends' of 282,000. 'Watch The Throne' is expected to have sold around 500,000 copies since its release. Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’ remained at number one on the UK album chart at the weekend. Black To Black’ held of Kanye West and Jay-Z’s ‘Watch The Throne’, which was a new entry at number three. Adele’s ‘21’ remains at number two in the album chart. 20. I really hope is not included on the album since I have already bought the song 2 times. But I guess there is a high probability that it is finally included on it.
  21. I am pretty sure it will be in the album.
