Brian Eno- Good Or Bad?
No doubt! Probably very expensive electronic wine glasses! So, to lower the tone or pitch then, he had to selectively consume some of the wine, eh??:P Sounds rough - what a strenuous way to make a living!

Should I cut my hair short?
So you've bleached and colored your hair, and now it's done up in a Mowhawk?:P

Brian Eno- Good Or Bad?
Wine glasses - someone playing wine glasses! Yes, it is pretty neat - like the beginning of one of Whitesnakes' songs.. Patient resonance! So, maybe the next album will be all ambiance music??:laugh3: (if it ever gets released..) Sit back, relax, have a cup of tea, and wait for this to all blow over..:P

Poetry and Prose
Thanks Ahlem! (and are you a scientist??) - that's a nice name -sounds Arabian or Indian - am I correct or mistaken?? :) Anyhow, thanks for the compliment! Crestingwaves, I'm glad you enjoyed poetry. It can be a little tough - bearing ones' soul at times, and having that criticized is not so easy - I remember how it was for me! Thinking - it's funny, but they never paired up the two (music and poetry); and yet, they both can be very inter-dependent, especially in modern music.. Maybe that has been done at other schools, but our's was so old-school - you would have thought Gregorian Chants were the latest thing! Well, thanks all for the feedback, and send out some poetry!:)

News from the EMI / Warner Music / Parlophone / Atlantic Records shakeup...
Invasion of the Bean Counters... "They came; They counted; They destroyed!" Why can't they buy their rights from EMI, and sell the album to another label? Maybe that's unaffordable, but it would get them back out on the circuit, and able to make new releases.. Just ideas..

ABBA vs Radiohead
Variety is the spice of life!! Hey, I like heavy metal too! (God only knows why, though:thinking::laugh3:) It's mood dependent - maybe you've got a vitamin deficiency or something? Think of ABBA as that happy childhood experience you had at age 2-6... Radiohead comes later in life..

We're nice
Hmm.. too nice, eh?:sneaky: Allright, all you people, now listen up! This is OZ, and this kingdom is run by a misanthropic road crew posting misleading road signs that purposely lead you into dangerous turf, flying monkeys who would rather have you for dinner than have you over for dinner, a wicked witch who can't take a little shower, and some cute chick in pony-tails who kinda likes to be lost in this bizarre place.. Never mind the tin man - he's just had too much zinc in his diet. And that scare-crow fellow's diet of roughage - see what can happen! And then there's the cowardly lion - I'm tellin ya, there ain't no such thing - most will eat you on site, or piss on you just to mark some territory! It's just not that nice-nice out there... Be careful!

What Are You Wearing Right Now?
Hmm.. well, it is winter - I hope that skirt is made of wool, Anna!:laugh3: I've got on a pair of old dress pants (lt. grey), and a plain cotton T-shirt. Oh, and I'm wearing long underwear (hey, it's the depths of winter here!):P I'd like to be wearing some all-natural stuff - as funds permit, I hope to go all organic/sustainable. It's really where I'm at, philosophically.

Political Compass...which way do you swing...
I think trying to categorize everyone using cartography is often innacurate, as it assumes humans can be simplified into a certain model of this or that. Life is also very circumstantial, so while we may feel a certain way at one point in time, given a different set of circumstances, our views can suddenly shift; something may seem a certain way form the distance, but examined more closely, we may realize that isn't the way we feel. Walking in the shoes of someone else can often enlighten us to things we had not before seen nor felt. Sampling errors can be great as well, considering who has access to the test. I think it was Will Rogers who sang a song once - "Don't Fence Me In", and that's how I now feel. One experience I had about a year ago was to spend time listening to some musicians who had travelled and spent extensive time in the Middle East. We don't all think the same, that's for sure! In the Greek way of thinking (we term it as Western thought) - everything is seen as nouns; simplified and defined as precise objects. In the Arab world, things are seen as dynamic. Verbs take precedence, and this state of mind is not like ours in general (except maybe in the sense of poetry). So, considering how one's way of thinking affects one's political views as well, it's not so easy to put round pegs into square holes, and visa-versa.

News: Contact Music claims "Chris sees a Hypnotist" / "new album name: Prospekt"
Let's see.. Parachutes suggests sky diving.. and A Rush of Blood to the Head implies sky diving and X&Y implies something on a coordinate grid.. So, maybe it'll be called rip cord?:)

You gotta see this!!!
Well, I'm getting smarter here! :laugh3: Sure, I could have watched it. But after the RickRoll episode, (and the little note you attached asking for amnesty), I'm betting I will get a good night's sleep by using the old noggin'. Maybe later, like during some normal day - how grotesque is it?? Nite' Tracie!:) G'night Rachel!:)

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Dr Wilson on House? Hmm.. I've been out of TV land too long - last Wilson on TV I recall was Flip Wilson!:laugh3: Maybe Showbiz is a small world?? It does sound that way! Still, I see your point - it makes for odd realizations sometimes..;)

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Anyone hear of the term 'audiodrugs'? Someone suggested on a radio program that a lot of modern music does something to our brains - tweaks certain neurons in one part, and gets us hooked.. Is this true of Coldplay's music?? I wonder, how bad could this be, anyhow??:wacky::hat:
