Tell me something about you that I don't know
Rest and relaxation really helps if you're coming down with something.. Sit back, relax, drink some tea, and enjoy the comic atmosphere..:) Yes, I have both tops and bottoms on! It's a three-dog night here!:P (more than you really wanted to know..):laugh3:

The Beatles
I just hope Ringo has been taking drumming lessons!:laugh3: Last time I heard him play on stage, he was wayy off. He is funny, though! Maybe that was before AA?? Probably all better now.;) So, then the Beatles sort-of could have a reunion, with Sean Lennon, Dhani Harrison, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr?? Has this been done already??

Iowa Caucus - bring some caulk!
Yes, the Audacity of Hope - I'll have to borrow it from a neighbor soon. He sounds honest and intelligent, with common-sense ethical integrity; hope he keeps a fire in his belly to change things!! The first couple of months are when he'll have to reform the system, as congress usually gives the benefit of the doubt to the President after the election.. If he wins the presidency, he will probably be the fastest rise to the White House since Washington!;)

Iowa Caucus - bring some caulk!
:laugh3:Good one! Huckabee might edge out Romney because of the Evangelical voters (lots of them in Iowa).. Mormons are scarce outside of Utah, so this could be the vote that tips the scale for them. Biden's great on foreign policy & honest; wish he could win too!! Hmm.. Obama on Israel - I would guess, since he's a graduate of the University of Chicago, he's probably pretty smart about finding a better working policy in the Middle East to reduce tensions. Hawkish policy tends to backfire, and he's got to have more insight than our current bunch of bananas. Could you be more specific??

Tell me something about you that I don't know
:rolleyes:Umm.. some details seem a wee bit more personal than I need to know!:laugh3: What was that old song - "Cheeseburger in Paradise"?? Well, anyhow, I'm wearing long underwear!:P

What scares you about him? He's way off base for me on Women's Rights issues - is that it??

Iowa Caucus - bring some caulk!
I like Obama too - it's just the money influence that's concerning me. Investment firms, like Goldman Sachs, have put into his campaign some sacks of money, and I just feel that the housing bubble (which is partly a wall-street fiasco) is somewhat the result of this influence peddling. But he's sharp on foreign policy, and Obama says the right things! His vote against the war was the right thing to do, I feel, and he understands the core values of our tattered constitution. I wish he would have stood up and fought harder for reform in the Senate, instead of choosing to be "one of the club". Maybe this will all change if he gets the nomination? Congress has an approval rating in the teens last I heard, so he ought to smell the coffee, so to speak, and do what's in our best interest. Anyhow, he very well could become pres.!!:)

Iowa Caucus - bring some caulk!
Newshour's newshounds weren't sure if all the Obama supporters would turn out.. I'm hoping for an Edwards come-from-behind victory, per the inverse relationship curve (the less easy money they take, the more honest they are;)). Well, hoping, at least! Maybe, as things progress during the compressed primary season, the Dems will coalesce around one better candidate to beat out the big money-influenced candidate(s). On the Republican side, I think Huckabee might have it as well. He seems like a down-to-earth fellow, as opposed to their usual line-up of characters.. (It can only get better, since our Gov't. is pretty much at the bottom of the pickle barrel!)

A Thread for the beautiful Lore
Yes, you would have to take up some modest learning in computer science to be able to fix it (and break about 10 zillion copyright laws!:laugh3:) - not that anyone ever does those sorts of things.. Anyhow, so I gather the banana is the prize, and the alligatior provides some sort of a challenge?? (I know the alligators in Florida sometimes gobble up people's pets, so they could be a bit of an obstacle!):juggle: Enjoy it to the max - half the magic and fun is in not knowing how it all works!!

Iowa Caucus - bring some caulk!

A Thread for the beautiful Lore
Oh, I think I did play an in-between-the-decades version.. Yea, there was a very pink princess on SuperMarioBro's version.. Kinda super-saturated pink and white (like this type!:P) I know you like red, Lore, so maybe you could reprogram it to give her a red outfit??:)

U2
threadbare I think it can be confusing unless one is very observant of the tiny thread date. If I followed the band closely, I suppose there would be no confusion. But we're not all quite that aware of U2's going's on (yes, I've seen their website, etc., but I've got a lot of irons in the fire, metaphorically speaking). Although, if I had looked further into it, I would have found out the obvious!:dozey: Anyhow, it would be better, I think, for those who love U2's music, but are not on the concert trail & latest details, to start the thread by another means. (unless you want to be an exclusive club?) Just a suggestion, all traditions aside.

Radiohead
Radiohead is a creative force in the universe. Weird, but creative!:laugh3: I did take a look-see at the movie on YouTube with them in it - I actually liked it! (maybe I'm getting into their weirdness?:\) I agree - sometimes, some of their music is... - well, I guess it's related to the mood one is in. Variety is the spice of life, and Radiohead offers some unique senses! Coldplay are more of a refined art. They take good things, and make them better; they have greater emotional range, and their music isn't so monochromatic.. Plus, they're more positive than Radiohead. (in a general sense!). Coldplay is reminiscent of so many other forms of music I've heard - from Doris Day to Blues to Rock to the other-worldly sounds of experimental, they cover the gamut. Just opinons:P! Anyhow, thanks for asking!

Hi from Australia
Gleetings from the other side of the earth!!:) Enjoy the zaniness!!:P

U2
Yes, but to resurrect a thread that starts in 2005 is going to lead to confusion, when all those dates pop up (as it did).. Anyhow, how's Paul's voice??

A Thread for the beautiful Lore
Wow, that looks advanced! (My recollection of Donkey Kong was from another era - back then, there were real barrels to jump over, and the Gorilla was just this over-sized misfit of an ape, who like to climb tall buildings..) What's with the banana?:laugh3:

A Thread for the beautiful Lore
Oh Lore - you're so cute!!:) (and all bundled up in an astronaut's space suit!) - I would love just 1 day of snow!! (by day 100, it feels like living in a desert, where snow replaces sand; the stuff compacts, and squeaks when you walk on it!) Well, enjoy paradise!!;)

A Thread for the beautiful Lore
B---b--b-bbrrrr!! It's c--c--c--cold here!! -18C, and dropping!! I would like to arrange a trade. Please send some nice hot weather to mix with this liquid air, and we can all have the climate we've been dreaming of!:laugh3:

U2
Why, oh why, would someone post outdated concert dates? Thanks a heap! Sheesh, I could have went all that way for naught?:laugh3:

Poets
Where am I? I am a leaf adrift on the ocean, of the space within time pieces above the stars beneath the rays; In the deep pools of power where waves crash and surge and bubble with the breath of life.. from power beams that lever action in the hidden gears that drive us all the one true magic of discovery!

Poets
Poems of love are nice! A little bittersweet, though.. but, then that makes it all the more enchanting. Thanks Grids and Ze_Scientist! Another One: Stars above, stars below; Time before stars were in faint waves.. Reaching the shore Images of the past in the present; Relative grace in the echos of it all from the one.
