what do you do when you hate your life and want to die
Answer the question and make the changes in life that will make you feel good, feel stable. Get connected with positive chi and positive feng shui - often it's just an array of challenges that must be overcome, getting things in order and lining up your ducks in a row helps. Ask what it is that's putting you in a poor mood and change that. Then remember to reward yourself when you accomplish something, go at it with gusto if it helps. It takes time to get into the groove, and we're living through turbulent times, so don't be too hard on yourself - the world as we speak is in a state of flux, changes are being wrought on many levels. Think of how others have it, Somalians, Libyans, Syrians, Dubai and Arabians - all we face looks like a cake walk by comparison, that is so true. Their struggle is all our struggles for true democracy, for freedom, for human rights, for justice, for dignity. Give more of yourself, the love you give comes back to your heart like manna from heaven. You're not alone, we all feel low at times, but 1st believe you can climb that mountain, and with every step you're getting better. You are free to feel the warmth of the sun and the freshness of the rain, to experience joy, just open your heart and soul to it.

What Nick Say. ;) That, and listen to some inspiring music. And remember, we all have a special place in the tapestry of human life, of all life. When there's nothing left to loose, there's everything to gain - it can only get higher when you're at the bottom climbing out and into the light. Love yourself, let the candle of warmth enter your soul and your heart. And we all slip and fall, but just get back in the saddle again and ride on. You're worth it.

The Awesome Random Posting Thread
I watched this video :[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5W2IpVMw0E]Yes-It can happen - YouTube[/ame] And in the beginning had to choke back tears, because I see the small fishing boat and think of all the Somalian fishermen who are denied a good harvest in the seas because factory trawlers are catching most of the fish. It's not just max profits & cream off the top for them, it's a means of survival, their livelihood. And though a few of you know, it was YES who provided the original inspiration for Clocks, so all things are connected, to tug on one string is to affect the whole in the fabric of our universe.

Hey Coldplay, this is your Joshua Tree moment, don't mess it up.
George was pretty cool, yeah. I think he was one of the principal sources of creative inspiration for the Beatles, brought them Indian music and a whole new palate of sounds and possibilities. But which tree is coldplay's then? Maybe Christmas tree? Orange tree?

MYL OXYL OTO - My take on Coldplay's clever and perhaps subversive new album title
:laugh3: My Lord (George Harrison) Xylophone tones! It could be anything, or everything, and therefore it's absolutely perfect. That, or they just put a bunch of scrabble pieces in a bag and pulled them out one at a time, until they had what looked like words. :P

Hey Coldplay, this is your Joshua Tree moment, don't mess it up.
Hey:rolleyes:, you gotta back a fellow New Yorker! Lennon was the epitome of creative genius, I mean comeon, he wrote & performed Imagine. It was Lennon and McCartney mostly, but certainly George and Ringo added their own excellent flavors to the mix. The subtleties exist, but I think they're pretty much on the same level of ability and contribution. Apple Tree Joshua Tee Which tree best suits Coldplay?:)

Up In Flames the new Clocks?
I wonder... if the name Up In Flames refers to a decidedly non-green energy policy persued by David Cameron? If this article is any indication: Up In Flames: Cameron's pledge to lead the greenest government ever - Johann Hari, Commentators - The Independent Which spells trouble for the UK's clean drinking water (as it does here on the east coast), and may do a huge disservice to the planet's climate. Beware of Hydraulic Fracking!

Capitalism in crisis, a warning from history
Printing money may be one way to stimulate a sluggish economy, if it's not done in excess. Taxes are the price of civilization, provided the government is run efficiently and fairly. The problem as I see it is that the wealthiest 1% cut themselves a huge tax break (they buy the elections, write the legislation) and paid for the government shortfall with borrowed money mainly from Chinese investors. Done under Bush Jr., as he laughed his way through his presidency. "make the pie higher" a pie where the wealthy have hollowed out the middle, and inflated it to look full, but it's mostly air. So when working class people are being dropped from insurance rolls while profits and premiums soar, is that a sign of market success? If the markets are volatile and prone to crashes, is it wise to privatize Social Security, as some on the right want to do? And what a better way to stimulate the economy than getting money into the hands of consumers who actually buy things, instead of shoveling cash into the wealthy, who just put it back into the markets or invest it elsewhere? All those promises by Bush, trickle down economics, that's all failed us. Give the average Americans modest tax breaks, tax the rich where they ought to be taxed, and add to the money supply. As the economy picks up, then pay the debt. But this can only happen if we make some real changes. Amend the Constitution to declare that Corporations are not People. Demand an amendment for Fair Elections. The plutocracy doesn't know what it's doing, it's ideologically driven and irrational, they need to step aside and allow citizens to run the government.

Bon Iver
I like Flume too! You'd have to know Eau Claire to know when a long lost buried flume can surprise you! ;)

What are you thinking right now?
What does it take to wake the citizens up? Dissatisfaction can't be solved with same-old same-old rehashed politics. But citizens are starting to really hammer on the problem that corporations aren't people, a hopeful sign. Everything's not lost. :)
