  1. If you can't see the related topic on the first page or two of the forum section, you can just create one. If you're using the desktop version of the site, when you type the thread title, a list of similar threads will appear :)
  2. If it's in the right section for the topic, feel free to post a new thread :) If it's something that exists already (recently), it's best to continue the conversation in that topic.
  3. I've spotted that too. It also logs me out sometimes. Appears to be a problem with Android only. I'll add that to the list and it will be top priority. Hope to get it fixed this week :) For articles, the temporary workaround is using Coldplaying.com on your web browser, while everything else that should be there, like 'multimedia' and 'games' is also accessible through 'browse'.
  4. Thanks for the feedback :) The feature to edit those details is not currently built into the app and it will only display what you've added to your Coldplaying profile on the desktop version. To add those details, you will need to login to the full site on: www.coldplaying.com/forum via a PC or a laptop, then go to 'settings' at the top of the screen. You will then have lots of options to customize your profile. If you can't get onto a PC, use the browser on your phone to access the link above. It's a little bit fiddly as you have to zoom in but it should still be responsive :)
  5. Something I didn't mention originally. If you want to change to a dark background within the Coldplaying app (More info/DL links here), simply click on the sidebar to open up the menu, then there should be a settings icon on the top right. Once you are on there, a check box option for 'Dark Mode' will appear. It will ask you to reset the app which is fine, just proceed then the app will reload with a dark theme :) There's also an option to change the font size if the text is too small or large for you.
  6. Your using the iOS app, right? Apple won't let me use it since its 'copyright' in their eyes, which is why the iPhone app graphics are more basic. Everyone viewing this topic, on the new members section :)
  7. It's here! The Coldplaying mobile app is now ready for download on the iOS store and on Google Play. A few of you have tested the app already (V1 - BETA) and we thank you for the overwhelming response so far. Click here to download the Coldplaying app for Android devices Click here to download the Coldplaying app for iPhone & iPad Please remember to rate the app if you like it and share with other fans :) I would like to give to a massive thank you to Batman and atlas2000 from our graphics team for their role in the app and to everyone who has given me feedback so far. Here's a list of the full app features for V1.1 Coldplaying App Features Simple interface: Simple and easy to use navigation. My Discussions: Keep track of all your conversations on the Coldplaying app. Messages: Chat to fellow Coldplayers, in our Facebook-style private inbox. Find fellow fans with the 'Coldplayers' feature. Future updates Updates planned for V1.2: - The ability to directly upload images - In app adverts Weekly newsletter updates are also planned, in the near future. Q&A's How do I register? Simply click 'Join in' on the menu, then 'Join'. All you need to fill in is a username, email address and password. If you have an existing Coldplaying forum account (from the past 15 years!), you can login with that but feel free to create another one if it's been that long and you can't remember your details! Why are the iOS app graphics different to Android's? We had many issues and long delays when submitting the iOS app. More specifically, Apple wouldn't let us use anything Coldplay related in the graphics or even the name 'Coldplaying', hence the simpler graphics and why the app name appears as 'CPing'. On the multimedia section, links to a download take me to another site. How do I know to trust it? No downloads are hosted on our server, so are directed to file hosting sites such as Mediafire and Mega, to name a few. These are trusted sites. If you are not sure, please look at the replies from other members and feel free to ask if you are not sure or having any problems with the download. What are the differences between Coldplaying's and The Atlas Project's app? The Atlas Project app is currently in BETA and the creator, Ian has a blog with sneak peeks and updates, you can check it out there for more info. They will be two different experiences, with ours being based on our existing community. I will be using the app, in addition to Coldplaying's. I'm looking forward to the release of it, looks very impressive! Will the Coldplaying app include adverts? Yes. The app is currently ad-free to begin with, while I work on implementing them within the app. Coldplaying, as a totally free community is dependable on ads to fund the server costs, which costs $$$$'s per year and are run with expansion in mind, to handle thousand's of fans using the site during busy times :) Why is the version number is different on the app store? V1.1 is the version code I prefer to use on the site as the app is new, rather than the app store version which is 3+ I found a bug. How do I report it? Visit the bug reporting thread, under the 'Coldplaying.com' sub forum.
  8. Welcome to Coldplaying, or welcome back, whatever the case may be :) We hope you're enjoying the new Coldplaying app. If you find any bugs/glitches, please let us know on this thread. Feel free to ask me any questions about the app or how to use certain features, if you are not sure.
  9. The ability to directly upload images via the app will be available soon / on the next update. For Youtube videos, the preview won't show but it should just be in link format.
  10. Sparky replied to Spraycan Soul's topic in New Members
Welcome to Coldplaying :D I've merged your two threads into one :P
  11. Please post any glitches/bugs you find when using the new Coldplaying app here. It's important to let us know so it can be looked at and the app can be improved. The framework is based upon Tapatalk so anything feature wise, I can only suggest to their engineers and bear in mind, that it's a simple and easy to use alternative. The full experience is on the desktop version :) If you do find a bug, please give details about what phone you are using and how it can be re-created if possible, thanks. Known issues - [FIXED] Bug affecting Android app. 'Articles' and other options not appearing on the menu bar. Temporary workaround for articles is to visit coldplaying.com on your web browser, while other features are all accessible via 'browse'. (4th May) - iPad bug on articles section - ' mark on links appears as random digits. (3rd May) Notifications - The ability to add extra details such as personal bio, location etc.. is only available through the full desktop version. The details within the app are read only. See the quote below:
  12. Here we go, the iOS app for those who want to be the first to try it : https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/cping/id977526899?mt=8 (Alternatively search for 'CPing' - alt blue logo) Making the announcement soon :)
  13. Another version for those using the Coldplaying app (the coding on the HTML shows on the first post): Welcome to Coldplaying, Jonas. Thank you for taking your time to chat with us and it’s an honor to have you on board! My pleasure! 1. First of all, would you mind to introduce yourself as well as Apparatjik? My name is Jonas Bjerre and I am in a band based in Denmark called Mew, as well as in Apparatjik; a strange collective of individuals who make music and art and unusual events together. Magne A and Martin A are also in Apparatjik, we are all Apparatjiks, therefore we are A. But so is everyone else. Everyone can be an Apparatjik. 2. So you’re currently on two bands: Mew and Apparatjik. What is it like to work with two bands at the same time? Mew is my main thing, really. It's a band that I formed with my childhood friends and we've been playing together for many years. We have a new album coming out on April 27th, called + - which I'm quite excited about. We are going on a tour of Europe in May, and playing a bunch of summer festivals, so there's a lot going on. Apparatjik is something completely different, where all ideas no matter how silly or crazy or zonky are put into function. There is no "no" in Apparatjik, only "yes". It's a kind of creative playground, and each project we do is an event in itself, because we so rarely have the time to get together. 3. What is the band’s musical style? We know that one of the songs called “Don’t Eat The Whole Banana”, which we think the beat is great to listen to. But we are curious of how you guys decide to choose the genre. Well we don't really choose genre. It's a totally open thing, that can't really be placed in any box or category. There's a lot of visual art involved as well. 4. You have known Guy for quite a while. What is it like to work with him? Wonderful! An extremely talented and unique individual, with whom I am grateful to have shared all these weird experiences in Apparatjik. 5. Do you guys have any similar musical taste? What really inspires you to form Apparatjik as a band? Most certainly. I think all four of us have in common an ear for beautiful melodies, and working together we get to try out some of the things that don't really fit into our other bands. It's a lot of fun! 6. Can you please name one favorite song by Coldplay and why? I would have to say Yellow. It was the first song by them that I ever heard. I remember it clearly, I was walking downstairs early in the morning in this house that my band was recording demos in, and everyone else was sleeping still. I switched on MTV2 and they played the video, and I just thought, "Wow, this really hits home, this is such a beautiful piece of music". I've had the pleasure of seeing them live quite a few times now, and it's so impressive how many memorable melodies they have under their belts! 7. Does Guy still have this facemask? Ha Ha! I expect so :) 8. If you had never seen Coldplay before and were approached by one of the members, who would you want to meet first and why? Guy, of course. He's the coolest one! 9. So we had checked the latest news about your new book called “Apparatjik World”. Can you please tell us more about it? It's a very picturesque collection of all the weird stuff we've done together so far, from early concerts inside cubes, to steel structure half deer / half motorcycle sculptures. Kind of a documentation of our combined efforts. One of the really cool things about Apparatjik is that we get to try out a lot of things we've never done, or even imagined doing before. 10. What do you expect for the next upcoming albums? Can you say something about the future of Apparatjik? The future of Apparatjik, as well as its past, is always uncertain. Things will happen for sure, but when and where is a secret known only to the connection-demons of the cosmos. 11. If you were asked to collaborate with Coldplay for the next project, what sort of music would you like to compose that is still related to both bands? Wouldn't that be amazing, huh? Ooh I don't know. Maybe the kind of music people play in parallel universes. Interstellar progressive paprika? In any case, I'm sure it would be glorious! Thank you very much for your time to interview with us, Jonas. We wish you success and we hope to see more of new upcoming Apparatjik projects in the future! Thank you so much for having me!
  14. Some good news - the app is ready to be released! Using the name 'CPing', still surprised it's accepted (after about 2 months :/ ):o Will launch it tomorrow if all goes well, just some updates on the forum/server side.
  15. Fourth song revealed: 'I can change' Audio link : http://www.directlyrics.com/new-music-brandon-flowers-i-can-change-full-audio-news.html
  16. Our newest exclusive interview :) --------- Coldplay bassist, Guy Berryman loves to experiment musically and since 2008, <a title="Apparatjik" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apparatjik" target="_blank">he has been part of the electronic Supergroup, named Apparatjik</a>, in which Danish born Jonas Bjerre is the lead singer of. Now we are catching up with the other frontman in Guy's life, Jonas, as we seek an update on Apparatjik and his experiences of making music with Guy. <img src="http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs47/f/2009/188/2/8/Jonas_Bjerre_1_by_Gwendly.png" alt="Jonas " /> <strong>Welcome to Coldplaying, Jonas. 18. Very good! It's going to be an impressive album :)
  19. Warning sign - you have now been taken back 10 years, back to the X&Y era, where Coldplay are gearing up for the release of their third studio album. Coldplay have become the first British band to have a new entry in the US Top 10 singles chart since The Beatles. Coldplay’s debut at number eight with Speed of Sound is the second time a UK band has achieved the feat. The Beatles managed it with Hey Jude in 1968. Speed of Sound is the highest new entry since American Idol winner Fantasia went in at number one last July. Rapper 50 Cent’s nine-week reign at the top of the chart with Candy Shop was ended by Gwen Stefani’s Hollaback Girl. The Fab Four had a run of US number one hits in the 1960s – but Hey Jude, which made its debut at number 10, was their first single to go straight into the Top 10.
  20. Yes! Mahoosive tour to go with it and it should a vintage Coldplay era :-)
  21. 7 years ago, the band announced their takeover of an ex-Bakery :) http://www.coldplaying.com/coldplay-hire-ex-bakery/ Oh really? ;)
  22. I like that version, pretty raw :)
  23. New album is out on 18th May. Here are the videos for the two singles: [video=youtube;9iiDlU4rhlY] [video=youtube;vX5fAb76r-U] What do you think? :) Two very good singles I think. Still Want You is my favourite and based on the latest live clips, Dreams Come True sounds great too :D Really can't wait for the album.
  24. Official video for Dead Inside: [video=youtube;I5sJhSNUkwQ]
  25. It's having sex apparently (from someone on Twitter) :laugh3:
