Check out STATE RADIO!
considering I don't know you, dispatch, or this band, I have no intention of taking the time to browse through you-tube for these songs. Post some you-tube imbeds and I can promise you ten seconds of my time.

New Coldplay eh?
Thanks, I hadn't heard it yet. 1. So its an E.P.? should we expect more than 2 songs then? Yeah, not a huge fan of the voice distortion, though it is kind of cool to hear them playing with a new stock of effects. The effects during the guitar harmonics are great, and though this will sound like a bad thing for most, I like that it has an 80s u2 vibe up to and around the solo. I could see myself enjoying an album of similar stuff.

JONSI
Ainsley, you know, like, everything about Mr. Birgission. What the tju is he doing nowadays? Is he in the studio with Sigur Ros, or doing other random side-stuff?

The National
Lyrics mainly. Musically it's just the verse of slow show on repeat, and would be very inspiring with different lyrics. "This pricey stuff makes me dizzy, I guess I've always been a delicate man. It takes me a day to remember a day, I didn't mean to let it get so far out of hand. I was a comfortable kid, but I don't think about it much anymore..." :(

"Jesus Christ you have confused me. Cornered, wasted, blessed and used me. Forgive me girls I am confused, stiff and pissed and lost and loose..." /violin

Alligator is a much less depressing album than HV imho. I would say the same for Boxer if the closing stretch was less melancholic than it is. I'm inclined to say that HV is their most consistently depressing album...though some individual songs on previous albums (Sad songs for Dirty Lovers jumps out) hit higher peaks of anguish and existential angst. :( :beatnik:

Rate the latest movie you've seen
Midnight in Paris 7.5/10 Owen Wilson = Woody Allen The Pedant = Writer from Crimes and Misdemeanors Adrien Brody = Salvador Dali Woody Allen's version of Night at the Museum? = Priceless. Tree of Life 4/10 I typically don't mind pretension, or philosophical ambiguity, but this film is an abuse of aesthetics that is ultimately nauseatingly transparent, superficial and shallow. I cringe at the everyone comparing this is to true geniuses like Kubrick and Tarkovsky. I admire his ambition, but I needed to take a bath afterwards.
