this thread is officially made up of HERP DIDDY DERP DERP DURR
  2. Ah, makes sense. Derp. Ooh, so sneaky.
  3. Blech, what is with these suggestions? Just because a singer is good on their own does not mean their voice will mesh well in a duet with another singer. You all seem to be forgetting this. For example, the suggestion of Adele. Her voice would just drown out Chris'. Hur dur.
  4. I already don't like it because it doesn't really fit in with the album and feels like 'HAY we're kinda popular now so maybe we can duet with some well-known R&B artist!!' For me, Rihanna and Chris don't go well together. It just sounds a bit awkward. They have perfectly good voices separately but together... do not like.

Good job: you not only failed to post this in the right section, but then you opened the post with no information on SOPA or the blackout to those not in the know. I applaud your thread making skills!

    I still don't even
  7. Meh, it just seems mixed to me. I don't like it because although there's a couple of decent songs and fewer that rank 'good' in my mind, it sounded like an incoherent mess. I listened to the whole thing two or three times and felt I didn't get the point... nor did I feel like listening again to get the point because what I did get from it seemed rather dull. Example: Charlie Brown (while I like the melody) ends up being obnoxious teens dancing around going 'OH HAY AREN'T WE SO RIOTING AND GLOWING? AND WE'RE OUT LATE!!!' Also of Princess of China, 'hey look, we can has duet with an R&B singer to further our new music influences. Aren't we cool?' Despite the fact that the song seems to have almost nothing to do with the rest of the album apart from being a duet with Rihanna. Oops, I forgot the point where Rihanna and Chris' singing don't go together very well at all for me. There's more things I could whine about, but they just make me cringe.
  8. I thought it was 1996 they formed. Oh well

  14. And you missed mine! People who aren't well-off are paying more taxes also, a major qualm I have seen been raised within the OWS movement :3
  15. Hm, let's just ignore the fact that a lot of Americans right now aren't "well-off"
  16. perceptions man
  17. Very true... ultimately it is the yearbook's call. But I think this story is more about a broader social issue rather than 'someone couldn't get the pic they wanted in the yearbook'. Most of the responses from the fem group were pretty much 'girl is 18, she chose this form of expression, and it's not too explicit, so should be fine'. One raised the point of 'a yearbook is written by students for students as a sort of memoir'. Another raised the school wanting to look more like a place of academia rather than place to party. Moar soon!
  18. It wasn't a windstorm though, it was hailstones up to the size of billiard balls. There's seriously marks in the footpath where the impact of the hail hitting was so great it acted like a high pressured water jet and took off a couple of layers of ingrained dirt from the concrete. House is tarped at the moment, just waiting for insurance to pick up the pace. The car got a little dented too but nothing like other cars in the street - they had windscreens smashed = unroadworthy... Also heard of some ceilings collapsing in houses up the street
  19. not sure if rubbing salt or just being clueless...
  20. Bleugh, shooters! *flees thread rapidly*
