Radiohead
i love this song. and for all those people not listening so they can enjoy LP8, you're going to be waiting a while. so i wish you luck.

Radiohead
sounds like the type of song they recorded while they were just jamming in the studio. its got that feel to it.

Pearl Jam
PJ dont tour the UK as much as other big american bands do they? have they been back since they headlined reading & leeds in 2006?

Radiohead
Harry Patch was the most requested song on triple j radio tonight. its been doing well all week.

Pearl Jam
i'm seeing them in november!!! i got front moshpit tickets YAY 39mins is your average length for an album especially nowadays. but i see your point, it will be the shortest PJ album to date and there is nothing wrong with that.

Radiohead
^^ i like the sound of that. i've just noticed that all of my favourite albums from the last few years have been less than 40mins long. the strokes and arctic monkeys debut's are the two best examples. and you go back to the 60s and 70s with the beatles and led zeppelin and all their albums were around that 40mins mark too except of course their double albums. i think the beatles only had 2 albums longer than 40mins and all of led zep's best work was about the same in length.

Arcade Fire
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDyykjJb1h4]YouTube - Arcade Fire - Wake Up (at Enmore Theatre, Sydney 2008) // Part 1 of 6[/ame] there's something about this video that always reduces me to tears. its not sad or anything like that. its just the raw energy and the way they sing and play and perform on that stage that always blows me away.

Them Crooked Vultures
I'm sure everyone has heard about the new supergroup including Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and John Paul Jones. They have called themselves Them Crooked Vultures. here is a little taste of what they sound like. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpwuItzRdGo]YouTube - THEM CROOKED VULTURES: DTF: [05] PAVED DEATH (DEMO)[/ame] what do people think? i think they sound pretty cool but nothing spectacular. they have recorded 12 songs all of which were played live in chicago last week.

Best Entrance Ever!
^^ there's nothing quite like a metallica audience. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSuzxC3pEIw]YouTube - The Raconteurs - Consoler Of The Lonely(Live Coachella 2008)[/ame] this is the start of the band's show. listen to how the crowd reacts when jack hits the vocals for the first time. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qdlb9fKmuc]YouTube - BLACK MIRROR - THE ARCADE FIRE - GLASONBURY 2007[/ame] not quite an entrance but their first song. some bands like to use their talent instead of $10 million to make a good start to their shows.

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
^^ hahaha about the two songs released so far. i cant stand united states of eurasia, the first couple of minutes of the song are decent but everything after that is just plain annoying. Uprising sort of reminds me of Starlight, just the feel of the song so i quite like it.

Radiohead
i'm with you on that. i was feeling the exact same way.

Best Entrance Ever!
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHswOjTbnCE]YouTube - Red Hot Chili Peppers at Green Fest - Intro Jam[/ame] i love and appreciate the bands that have been mentioned above. but their intros are a joke compared to what RHCP have produced on the last 2 tours. they dont need fancy lighting and pyrotechnics or whatever. its just pure rock n roll [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PExLPfOROm4]YouTube - Red Hot Chili Peppers Live at Slane Castle[/ame] the intros change every night. sometimes there are slight changes other times they are quite dramatic, they are all unique nonetheless.

Last Album that you bought/acquired?
stupid question but i must ask. why pre-order instead of just going into the store on the day of release? is it a geographical thing or are there some benefits of buying these records pre-ordered.

Radiohead

Radiohead
^^ haha was just about the post that myself. how serious do you think he is. or is he just "talking". but short EP's sound pretty cool.
-
The Beatles
Let It Be doesnt deserve some of the negative attention it gets. i know its not their best work but it still had songs like the title track, across the universe, get back and long and winding road. those are some of my favourite beatles songs.
-
Radiohead
i would recommend you start with In Rainbows but The Bends isnt a bad place to start either. i just find In Rainbows to be most digestable out of the lot.
-
The Beatles
^^ Yesterday has been a long time favourite for me but after this week i love Ticket To Ride. i'll be starting on Rubber Soul this weekend.

Eskimo Joe
