my type of music ie alternative rock peaked in the 90s so i agree that this decade hasnt been as great. but there have been some wonderful indie rock and electronica-inspired music in the 2000s and i'm proud to call it my generation. :cool:

i guess thats kinda expected from a band who are obviously in their twilight years. i never imagined PJ would bring out "special editions" and "remastered albums" as thats usually seen as a very 'commercial' thing to do and PJ have always stood against that. but the reality is they can only tour like this for so long, they need some financial back up. personally the quality of this forthcoming album doesnt bother me, they've done enough to keep me loyal forever.

hope they bring out their next record early next year but they seem like the type of band who like to spend extended periods of time in the studio. i dont mind how long it takes as long as its brilliant like In Ghost Colours. anyone who has listened to that record properly would be lying if they said its not in their top 10 of the year.

do you mind telling us just how many of these demos you have? does it stop at the 9 leaked so far? please dont regret posting these demos, this is the first time i've been genuinely excited about new coldplay music since the release of violet hill so you've made me very happy. and im sure im not alone.

^^ you're one of the very few people who loved the album from first listen. took me about 10 listens before i got my head around every song.

just to make sure. the whole song is out now right? its about 3min50secs? that whole thing about Resistance mobiliising is really weird. does that mean they are prepared to leak the album beforehand if this final usb is not found? i love what they are doing with this, its really quite exciting.

i'm just waiting for the day that chris martin straightens out his hair to make it look like thoms. i'm sure thom will take out a restraining order then.

ok im going to sound like a complete noob. i dont hang around these quarters that much so im totally lost with all these demos. so far ive heard st stephen lovers in japan and bloodless revolution as well as the demo for spies. now going by the conversation on the last couple of pages every song off this demo cd has been leaked. where can i find links for these? if i cant find them why are people being so protective of them? theres no reason to keep them away from fans, thats the beauty of 21st century music fans get more from their bands than ever before. i'm sure Apple and Moses will eat dinner tonight if these songs are made available for free. soo who ever has the links lets get over this political correctness and get some links in the multimedia section. but hey if you want you can just pm them to me, i wont be complaining. but remember....sharing is caring.

do people think that Jack will keep going with the dead weather? he has admitted that he will be back working with Meg by september/october. if everything works out that will keep him occupied for most of 2010 and then the raconteurs boys promised an album sometime in 2010. the man needs to take a break or he will burn out and that always leads to ordinary music. are they still popular in the northern hemisphere? although i cant speak for everyone down here, their relevance in australia has almost completely diminished in the last 2yrs or so. its gonna take a brilliant album to get them back to their old glory days (or day) and going by this first single, dont really see that happening. but as always i would love to be proven wrong.

besides the vocals i love the song so far. their sound grows bigger and bigger with every new album.

just listened to Part 4, at least what i think is part 4 of the song. it goes upto 2min30secs. its sooooo very Queen but i love it. but im getting a little annoyed with the vocals.

what a genuinely brilliant band. most bands go on letterman and all those other talk shows and just play the single they are flogging at that time. but with GB i've heard since the release of the album, Two Weeks, While You Wait for the Others, Cheerleader and now Ready, Able. my personal favourite from this brilliant album is Foreground.
