^^ just out curiousity what inspired that random attack on Lily? if you dont like then fine dont like her, the rest of the world doesnt care. no idea where you got the idea that she pretends to be a working class hero. i agree that she is a joke and she knows it, its when u start taking music too seriously that you lose the entire point of it. and wow U2 have an album out!! in 2009??!! never heard about it. thanks for the heads up. are they going to tour for it? ooo when will tickets go on sale?? ooo i bet you that they'll choose someone like Muse to support them in the US. just a hunch. and maybe someone random like Black Eyed Peas. how funny would it be if im right!! ahhh that felt good.

Triple J's music director Richard Kingsmill played a few tracks from the album tonight on his new releases show. he will do a proper interview with the band next weekend.

listened to another 3 tracks (cant remember the names) from the album tonight. not exactly blown away by them, some are rather plain. nonetheless i will give the album a chance when it comes out next week.

ladyhawke and empire of the sun both came out mid to late last year. nonetheless both are half decent albums.

i've been reading some very very mixed reviews of their debut album. their EP's and recent singles have set the bar extremely high for this album. i'm not going to settle with the reviews, i'll this record a listen myself when it comes out. but ive got the feeling i will be dissapointed. and according to that review, Sweet Disposition is about as good as it gets, sooo ehh i dunno.

i think most of the artists/bands on this page at least have been fairly obscure. aside from Empire of the Sun and Basshunter i have never heard of any of the other acts and i like to think i have a half decent idea of whats going on in music.

no she is a talented kiwi therefore she is officially aussie!! if she gets embroiled in some drug bust or sex tape scandal she will go back to being kiwi. just look at the russell crowe. won an oscar and labelled true blue aussie, throws a telephone at a woman and called a kiwi again haha.

i love the song she did with Pnau last year. its called Embrace :)

i heard about the release of the EP but never really paid any attention to it. i guess since all of you like it i'll check it out.

Come As You Are is my outright fave nirvana song. i know its a big hit and everything but i cant get over how awesome it is.

screw their albums. jump onto youtube and check out their live material. if that list in my signature was a list for bands who make the best albums Muse wouldnt even make the top 40. but as a live band................well just watch the footage or even better check em out in the flesh and feel the awesome power of MUSE.

^^ you dont need to be grateful for anything. just accept that The Beatles and U2 are coldplay's two biggest influences. there's no two ways about that

just watched pink floyd's last ever performance which they did at Live8 in 2005. i stayed up all night listening to the broadcast of that show and it was the first time i had never heard a pink floyd song and it instanteously changed my view on music and i havent looked back since. it saddens me to think that i will never get to see the 4 of them perform together since Rick Wright passed away. maybe one day i might be lucky enough to see one of their solo shows.

alex is looking skinnier than his lady friend. if thats possible. i'm expecting a stoner rock record. but not too sure how that will suit alex's voice and their bassist's style (can never remember his name, is it jamie or nick?)

would people agree with me in saying that Oracular is one of the most front loaded albums of all time? the first 5 tracks are just scary good but the remainder of the album is rather weak.

is that the order in which you like them while your high or while your sober? makes a very significant difference when ur talking about floyd

well i dont think its fair to dislike a band just because their last album was a little weak. i dont like coldplay's last two albums at all but they're are still one of my favourite bands. but with KoL i can sort of see why you wouldnt like them anymore. this last album has been murdered by the mainstream making it difficult to appreciate their older more accomplished albums. they've seen what this sound has done for them so i dont see them going back to their old bare-boned raw rock n roll sound. in other news BRITNEY IS COMING TO AUS!!!!!!!!!!!!
