can't help but feel that things are a little dull in aussie music at the moment. the whole foo fighters charity/promo tour was pretty cool, can't wait to see the footage on channel v. i think we will see them do a football stadium tour later in the year. i think they've basically decided from now on they'll do long shows at big venues which is fine by me. the vivid festival didn't end up getting daft punk but they did secure bat for lashes. so i'll be hoping to catch her at the opera house this winter. but at the moment i'm just saving up to splurge on splendour sideshows. if i can make it to 6 in that short period i will be quite happy. lets see what else..........the middle east album is on its way next friday. the jesus bday song is lame but Black Death 1349 is great and i haven't heard the one they released last weekend. it has the same release date as the architecture in helsinki newy so it will be interesting to see which one triple j chooses to feature. these guys will be THE BAND to see live in 2011! they've inflated their shows to 30+ song sets meaning they don't miss out on any of their big songs and they can improvise a lot. the new album has some of their heaviest material to date and they're saying this might be the last chance they get to rock out hard before they get too old to do it. so make sure you pass up an opportunity to see them even if you're not much of a fan!

awesome! if this fridays show wasn't sold out i probably would've gone cos i cant make the saturday night show. but being a local band they'll probably tour 20 times this year haha so im not worried. i think i might end up going to the see The Drums in may simply cos im craving live music so badly!!!

Alive was my favourite song so i was a little hesitant to put another pearl jam song. but this, from the same album was the only song i could really think of. it is a heart breaker of a song and when they do it live its even more emotional. just live Alive this wasn't played when i saw them. REM - i've absolutely loved everything i've heard from them but i've never got around to getting their albums and listening properly Pavement - from what other people say about them i think i'm really missing out on a great band here Velvet Underground - hoping to listen to more of their stuff through 2011.

my first track is screwed up and the quality is low regardless what kbps your download is. only one person recorded (from what i've heard) and it was a low quality recording. so the 320 version doing the rounds is just 320 in name. the band has said they will probably have a high quality version of the album available for streaming in the lead up to the release of the album. they don't want people making up their mind about the album based on a low quality recording.

the show would be saturday 2nd april around 9pm NY time right? i'm assuming its a regular show at a regular time. and 9pm NY time is about midday here so it would be 2pm in NZ.......
