While Lost! will be the next single more than likely, and Lovers in Japan after that, I really really wish they'd use Strawberry Swing. It's the perfect summer song...and summer is almost gone :o I would love 42 as a single, but I'm not sure its the right fit for a single. It's too different to do well mainstream. One reason I think SS would do well is that on iTunes in the US store its like the fourth highest download on the album...which doesnt really mean much lol because they're all so close after VLV and VH, but I think it indicates that its got the most potential to be big.

i love hopes and fears, and actually think there are more quality songs on that album. but i think on under the iron sea the songs they do well they do extremely well. i decided to just blast spiralling on my computer and now im feeling pretty good about it. its not the keane you usually think about, because this song is one i want to jump around and just shout the "oooh"s. i like that they've evolved though. i know some people have been looking for hopes and fears 2, but i always like to see my favorite bands evolve their sound...as long as they dont go off the deep end :rolleyes:

not sure about this song right now, but then again i was very keen (pun intended) on is it any wonder. i liked hopes and fears a lot, and i liked under the iron sea even better. that said this seems probably like how is it any wonder was for me when i first heard it. i wondered about the bands new direction. now im going to guess this is the apex of the new sound, and the rest of the album will be more old keane influenced with this new sound, but not dominated by it. the songs iffy, but because so was is it any wonder, im not looking to slag off on the band right now. oh...and i like the "oohs"

I think a balance between granduer and personal connection would be the ideal thing, but like they've said, they're still figuring stuff out on tour and i think that extends to the videos. im not a fan of the videos much either, but i think the hype one had some good transitions from time to time. but if my guesses are correct, one of the videos we get will be be a story. i dont see them not doing one like that this time. i mean they didnt really do one like that with x & y so we're due. i like the new material a lot more though, but im not sure that really relates to what you're asking here.

im never sure if these guys are telling the truth. i mean if they are its great news, but if not well then that sucks. i would hope this ep would be on the longer side, but im doubting it. they really must release b-sides with the singles. lovers in japan with something. lost with something... i would be happy with that for now

well i feel like once again my idea for their video was a bit better than their own...lol. but thats what everyone usually feels right? i dunno if the button on the bottom of the thing is supposed to allow the video to be bigger, because its not working for me. i think seeing the first one bigger might make it cooler. the second one is funny, but my enjoyment of it would be tenfold if they hit the first one out of the park. once again, but for the scientist, my feeling on their music videos is wishy washy

march...hmm....sounds good, although i wouldnt have minded a little earlier. i dont mind that it might detract from a potential album at the end of next year, because i dont think that was ever actually going to happen. but yeah, march, sounds good, hopefully we get some other b-sides before that with releases of other singles.

lol well ive had time between this comment and my opinion certainly has changed. i simply meant that when i first heard the acoustic version of lovers in japan i was blown away. it was going to be the best song and i think when i heard the album version i was disappointed. but since i went away from coldplay for a few weeks (sacrelige i know) ive found myself liking it a lot again.

okay so i have their last three albums, but not their first two as they werent as highly recommended personally i love their stuff a lot. its like out of this world really. although i must say i think that ( ) is a bit overrated. i like most of the songs, but i mean...its obviously repetitive, as is the point, but nevertheless, its only a great in my book :lol: theyre great though. im glad i found out about them through this site and coldplays interest in them.

august 4thhhhhhh :shocked2: thats sick and my lower top tier thing was not a jab if anyone thought so. i love keane. they just dont compare to the coldplays and u2s of the world in terms of my devotion.

lol that guy could have simply included a picture of the band and then a picture of himself with a question mark over his head while looking at the band. this is like the worst kind of review though, because you feel like this guy thinks he's defending the band, when in fact, he doesnt understand anything about them. its like defending some random person because "you feel bad", to only find that the person is like...idk lol, something bad. this guy doesn't know if he likes the band or if he doesnt, but i think he's entertained by them. its typical new yorker garbage, and what i mean by that is the magazine "The New Yorker"...not people from new york...as i am one of them, although im not from the city. The New Yorker is for pompous people, i used to get it but was so sick of the way they talked like they were above everyone. same thing right here - its like this guy thinks coldplay are the court jesters and he's sipping some martinis laughing with some old chums from yale. while his old sailing pals talk about how preposterous "The Coldplay" sound, he defends them by saying stuff like, "Gents come on, the coldplay aren't nearly as bad as you say...in fact i think i might admire their...their...well im not sure"

yeah i heard that from keane too. i think thats very promising, but i dont know how they expect to eclipse the last outings by all the major bands, and more than likely the upcoming release of u2's album (maybe oasis's album will be great, hopefully). i like keane's a lot, but i think they'll always be the lower top tier if you get my meaning when compared to all the other big bands.

yeah seriously, i cant wait to see keane suiting up in red. torres and keane will be a deadly combo
