  1. Chris gave it right to me at the end of Lovers! Chris Martin saw me and gave me the Parasol!
  2. So I was right infront of Jonny last night, I counted 7 Telecasters, and he does a lot of the tuning himself. A roadie handed him a guitar and he went right to tuning it up which I found weird. None the less 7.
  3. Holy crap these guys were amazing both nights. Last night I got upgraded to row 4. Got a lot of looks from the bass player. And a few from Gary. Full band Run was amazing. I loved hearing Open Your Eyes that close. Amazing.
  4. I would have loved my Pro Camera last night! I got like 4 good picture due to how old the camera I had was.
  5. Im very biased on this one. I want Vancouver to be released desperately. It makes more sense captures the Viva Tour better. We'll see what they do. I think they could do a U2 type thing. They do release a DVD its in time for Christmas, there is not enough time to make a good enough production from September 20th to say October 20th when they would need it done for pressing and shipping. Vancouver will be the DVD.
  6. I consider myself the luckiest block ever. I got two amazing shows and they are gonna be released on DVD! I'll even see myself. So excited, maybe I'll see him handing me the Parasol. Thats right I got it.
  7. Yeah, that would be us. I gave my tickets to some other friends there. So a few people got upgraded with one ticket :P
  8. I hate to break it to you guys, Wembley will not be filmed. You never film your last show of a tour for a DVD release. They will let loose on these two shows, it will be a amazing concert. Jay-Z will come on stage, maybe Stripe, no ideas what they are planning. But they wont release it. Those shows are for them to thank us greatly. Plus they have been playing the set they played last night forever. This tour has been the arena rock experience. They captured that this weekend, and hopefully release it. Also I was informed by a Roadie that it was not for a DVD, but I think he was being coy. He upgraded me though so Im happy.
  9. Did you see Chris hand me the Umbrella then? I was 106, I met the nice security guard too. I didnt talk to the Roadie he came and talked to me and my girlfriend. Asked if this was our first show, It was my third her second. I asked if he was #42 and he said no, asked if Phil was here or not. He seemed surprised by my knowlage, came back after the Howling Bells and upgraded us!
  10. Just got back. Best Concert of my life! Me and the girlfriend decided to go early. She was pouting before the Howling Bells, jokingly of course! Then a guy in a Viva Golf shirt comes up and talks to us. Gives her a Viva La Vida pick. I talked to him, I asked if he was Roadie 42 and he said no. He then told us he was the video manager, his name was Andy! Said they were just filming for Archives, but Chris said a lot that they were filming for a DVD. I asked him if Phil was here and unfortunately he went home a day ago. So we sit through Howling Bells and afterward I look over, and Andy is on his way, says "Chris just sent me with these. His thanks to you guys for being such great fans have fun!" He handed us two tickets Row 4 right on Jonnys ramp! Life could not get any better. Snow Patrol come out and well I go crazy as they are my third favorite band. I got a few looks from the Bassist and A thumbs up from Gary. It just keeps getting better ad better! Then Coldplay come on. Blast through there set which was better then Last night, better audience! A few point i am inches from Martin and Jonny. All night though they just ignored us fans at the side. Until Lovers In Japan, having fun with the butterflies then Chris gets his good old Parisol, dances with it and when he is done, looks right at me smiles hands it to me! I turn and give it to my girlfriend, every girl just started screaming. She was so happy! To top it all off, the security guard gave me a setlist. Its a photocopy from Winnipeg, and really worn, but I got everything I could ever hope for. Coldplaying karma does pay off. This has been the best experience of my life! If you read this, amazing guys!
  11. I'll try not to have to much fun! Or get to close to them with my great seats tonight! Right by the B-Stage! I'll Tweet again, I dont think the set will change though. Especially if they are filming.
  12. So I have time, my full Review of last night. Woke up in the morning, felt like any other day, it hadn't sunk in that I was seeing my two favourite bands that night. Went out to dinner before the show, saw the massive Coldplay crowd slowly working their way in. Got in the doors about 6:45, no line for the T-Shirts, I loved it. Got a Viva La Vida replacement, as I have misplaced my Pemberton one. As well a nice Snow Patrol one. Got to my seats, great view, Up top row one side stage. Howling Bells were good, but I will probably skip on them tonight, nothing special. Lights go down for the second time, more then 2/3 of the audience was seated for Snow Patrol, best Ive ever seen for an opener! They kicked ass! They played more heavy then their albums. Loud Guitars and amazing drum lines. Everything I expected and more, Gary Lightbody was on striking form. They played mostly all their hits. Got the entire crowd standing, they warmed the crowd up amazingly. After their set back to the weird ambient music. Then Magnificent! Never have I been so excited to hear the new U2 song, then Hova and the dancing Roadie! Then the classical piece. Darkness and Jon Hopkins, the crowd goes wild. They boys come out sparklers in hand and go into Life in Technicolor and Violet Hill, loved both of them. Thats when we were informed that we were all the stars of a concert DVD. Crowd goes nuts, I thought I heard wrong. Right into a good version of Clocks, crowd wasn't into it clapping wise. They just go through hit after hit, and its amazing. Yellow sad to say was the worst of the night, they played it was too fast, just didnt feel it. Then they got right back into form. Cemeteries was a huge hit, those who knew it screamed and that was over half. Well worth the wait I say. They go down to the B-Stage, play GPASUYF/Talk which was freaking awesome. Then he confirms that they are indeed filming both nights. "We could have filmed in 90 different countries, but we chose Canada" They played The Hardest Part (Will was singing of course!). Then Viva! Easily the best crowd song of the night. Every soul was standing by that point. Ohhhhhhhhhh-a-ohhhhhhhh. C-Stage was way better then I thought. Im a Believer was awesome. But Politik, so easy to tell it is Chris' favourite, him and will were right into it like you wouldn't believe. Lovers was better then I could as for my second favorite Coldplay song. They came back for the Scientist, Chris was just about to thank us then out of nowhere "Fucking hell you guys are up hight" pointing to the upper bowl seats "Those are like the suicide seats. We better not play anything depressing or else some people might jump." I snuck out half way through LiT II to beat the crowds, knowing I'd see them today. Got my LeftRightLeftRightLeft quite easily. Way better then when I saw them last year. Best concert of my life. Lets see if tonight can top the experience.
  13. Smelt it last night, nothing to bad though.
  14. The only song that was noticeably fast for me was Yellow. The others were a little bit faster but nothing to bad. It was an amazing show overall. Snow Patrol kicked ass, Howling Bells were okay, nothing amazing though. Looking forward to tonight. By the way anyone who has section 111, you are in luck.
  15. \They wont film Wembley because Jay-Z will come to preform Lost+. That review was bollocks I just read it. He knows LiT II but not LiT.... Snow Partol Rocket Chocolate Hands Open Crack The Shutters Eyes Open Run Chasing Cars Open Your Eyes All That I Have I think Im wrong on the order though.
  16. Follow tomorrow too! If the girlfriend lets me. Im off to bed you all. Cheers. By the way filming Vancouver is logical, it is the last of the Arena dates, and this tour has been the arena with this set. Canada is the best crowds in the world. Lets hope this is actually done and not a How We See The World thing again!
  17. No problems getting Point and shoots into the show. Do not bring an outside beverage though. They did amazing work in the sense of getting people into it. They have really come into their own live. I have never seen anyone able to do it that well past Bono. Tomorrow is going to be amazing.
  18. Just got back. They did film, but they used some new type of filming. There were no cranes tonight they had remote cameras in the light racks and also remote ones at the side. I did see full cameras on the floor too. Vancouver makes perfect sense. Most bands film both Vancouver and Chicago, and release one. U2 chose Chicago. GM Place is a big small venue. Near perfect sound with Coldplays high tech equipment. They won't film Wembley for a release, simply cause of Jay-Z. I had amazing seats! Row 1 section 324, Side Stage amazing view. It was the most energy I've ever felt GM Place have. Louder then the Police Reunion, louder then U2. Snow Patrol kicked ass, best opener ever. Most of the audience came to watch them and everyone was standing! Exact same setlist. I loved it though, I thought I would be disappointed, but I wasnt. Chris had fun with the crowd tonight. Told the crowd right at the end of Violet Hill "What if I told you we are filming the next two nights" then rocked into Clocks. He mentioned it again before the Hardest Part "of the 90 countries we could have filmed in, we chose Canada." I did not see signs posted outside of the venue informing of filming. I will look tomorrow. I;ll post a detailed review of both shows Monday though. Quite easily the best concert Ive ever been to in my life!
  19. So it is upon us! Vancouver is the center of the Coldplay world for two days. And all eyes are on us. We have the most popular threads for the next two days. I dont know If I should updae you guys live or leave you hoping for news of a setlist change. Im very evil. Just kidding. Im getting very excited. Listening to Snow Patrol right now. I love these guys and would be willing to pay $100 to see them by themselves. I was very excited when they were announced as main support. I'll update you guys when Magnificent is played!
  20. As of Sunday 3.
  21. Im seeing the boys tonight! Hopefully they do a good job. Ive heard they have been doing pretty damn good opening it up!
