  1. Im sitting. I always sit during concerts. To much hassle to stand, plus where I live GA is banned.
  2. Any Canadian or European city. Vancouver was so-so night one, but the second night was the best concert of my life. Vancouver has some crazy fans! Toronto, or Montreal are also amazing places to see them. They love Canada, X&Y Tour Video was filmed in Toronto and VLV 2009 was filmed in Vancouver. Has to say something, does it not? Chicago is also a great place to see them. Wherever they have filmed, bet its a great audience.
  3. The next best thing, Daniel Lanois!
  4. Going to see them Saturday, Im a casual fan. Maybe they'll win me over Saturday night. This is their last chance to win me over. Compared to Coldplay, are they good?
  5. I think Jon is already a step a head of Edge at this point in his career. But I dont think Jon has Edge's genius. Listen to Bad and tell me you heard that before anywhere, even with Floyd. Edge changed what guitar is to a lot of musicians.
  6. 100% agree...but In My Place is built off a pentatonic. Thats why its so simple, yet so amazing. Jonny doesnt really have to many solo's, and I agree, it adds more than it takes away. He has his moments where his less is more guitar is amazing. You have In My Place, when played live it is spine tingling. Talk, yet again simple, but powerful. Violet Hill, same thing. You want good blues solos, go pick up some John Mayer Trio, mind blowing stuff.
  7. They had signs on the doors saying they were filming. Like in Chicago, they did not have a crane camera. They did have cameras all over the venue though, from my original seats I counted 12 plus they had a lot of hand held ones. I remember U2 filmed their gigs in Vancouver as well for the Vertigo Tour, but they were a dry run for the Chicago shows a week later. This time Vancouver will get the DVD.
  8. Eno did not produce the Joshua Tree on first effort. He helped reinvent U2, and to find the musicans they wanted to be. Then after an extensive tour and Live Aid; released the biggest album of the 80s. Which still has 3 singles in heavy rotation to this date alone! VLV was Coldplay finding themselves. I have said it before, they had self confidence issues, and were breaking up. Eno saved them, proved they can make good music, and made them a international superhit. They are confident enough now to make the music they want. Look at the Demos, look at Prospekts March and look at the B-sides. They are great, Parachutes meets Viva style albums. You will get what you wish for. Personally, I want Coldplay to make music they are passionate about, then and only then will they get their down in history album. Eno can lead them there.
  9. They are lying. Andy winked at me when he told me that. They are saying that as to not create rumours. I recall her saying to keep an eye on Phil's announcements for news. Its not for the archives. They had a lot of cameras, when I was on the floor 3 people with handhelds past me numerous times. Labeling the cards once they were full. Roadie 42 said there was added stress because of the cameras. why be stressed for the archives, you'll watch it what? 3 times in your life. I know Live 2009 will be released. Anyway to get an official petition going and sending it straight to the bakery?
  10. Duh Dum Cha! Thanks to all who voted for me. And good luck to our Finalists!
  11. I don't like the SS video. I do like its originality though, just like I have liked VLV - Depeche Mode and Dancing Politicians better than the main videos. They are a great band. Anyone else think Lost? is the Demo version?

  13. I think giving the link to long standing members is fine. But no one under 50 for sure. If they signed up just for the Demo's sorry, you aint fan enough to deserve them like most of this site.
  14. Partly that its broken up into three different pieces, so to say. Also a lot of the piano I can hear on Jonnys guitar, what I'd write for it at least. Thank you so much for the link. Amazing work again Chris!
  15. I can hear the full version of Bloodless Revolution in my head. I hate being a producer, to me it sounds a lot like 42.
  16. I hated almost all of Coldplay, religiously hated them. Then I heard Speed of Sound, and went back and started to love them. I really did find Clocks very annoying, but dont tell Will. I want him to eat that hat!
  17. So today, I finally got to talk to my friend who went. Personal stuff got in the way for us. We talked, he said it was Zoo TV Lite, which I couldn't exactly argue. He said he loved the C-Stage and it was a really cool idea, and original. He proceeded to say, it was a spot on perfect show. They were on form and if they do not release it on DVD, they are idiots. He hated Coldplay, but now likes them. Release the DVD! And Englishrose, sorry about your boyfriend! I personally liked these two shows better than Pemberton.
  18. Chris recorded the piano part and a vocal for the chorus. His piano is put in an MPC though!
  19. Very smooth in Vancouver both nights. Had them at the main exits. Only problem was it backed everything up right to the stage! Other than that smooth and slow
  20. Almost all of A Rush of Blood To The Head.
  21. They are going to spend time with their familes. Record a few times a week, work with Eno. Take a year off, release a new album. Then tour for 2011-2012. Patience is a virtue. I love anticipation just as much as I love the tour mode. It gives us time to refelct and enjoy the album more.
  22. Andy is the guy between Will and Chris sitting down. He is a very nice, very British guy. He told me he was the Video Manager, he was supper nice. Didn't get to talk much he got pulled away. Then he came back and upgraded me. He is my hero.
  23. Hey, I forgot to post this a while back. When I met Andy the Video Manager, we talked about the upcoming shows. He said the boys and crew are very excited for this gig. I wish I was going to this one.
  24. I found that it was quieter up front then in my seats when i saw them. In reality when you are in the first 5 rows. You are under the speaker stacks and its a bit quieter. Coldplay pits arent that vicious.
