Noise In Lovers in Japan
Also must add, Jonny uses something called a Leslie Speaker. A Leslie is essentially a rotating speaker, listen to Hotel California to get what I mean.

Getting a Set list
I got one from one of the security guards. It was a photocopy of one from 3 shows before. But it saved me a lot of time getting out of the stadium. I also got Chris' Parasol (umbrella) from Lovers In Japan. I still cant get over the fact he gave it to me. That was a great night. Everything went right. Upgrade, Snow Patrol giving me a pick, being centimeters from Chris and Jonny multiple times, getting the Parasol and the set list. I do regret not making my Me + Guitar = Moses sign though.

Noise In Lovers in Japan
Reverb is correct, crank it up nothing is to much on this one. But he uses an intense rack unit that melds them all together. Listen to Life in Technicolor, its in there too. Edit: By the way good cover! It would be better done with Hummbuckers though.

Jon's live Tunings
And he used something like 9 live. I counted when I saw them. Was right infront of him. Some are copies. He did do a lot of tuning himself though, even right after the roadie gave it to him which I found very odd.

What's a Coldplay amphitheatre show like?
If you can, the best show to go to will be at the Gorge in George, Washinton State. It is the most beautiful venue in the world.

why doesn't coldplay play "yes" live?
They played Reign a few times. CSC was by far one of my favorites when I saw them last year. Sadly there was no Yes played, damn shortened Festival sets. CSC would fit perfect again on the B-Stage and wouldnt really add to the length.

The Best Live Albums / DVDs
U2 Go Home Live at Slane Castle. I also have been loving Where the Light Is... John Mayer live in LA. Amazing concert. Amazing DVD.

Fly to see concert?
Depends. I would follow Coldplay on the road for a week or two. Also a few other bands. I am considering a Festival circuit next summer for fun. If you love music why not?

Interpretation of lyrics
Chris doesn't remember if he wrote Politik before or after 9/11, he just knows it was in or around that date. It is more about the reaction to it. He is asking for compasion and human feelings over the Political bs. Violet Hill is about Fox news, and our current wars.

Coldplay - Live 2009 - Wembley!-- ( PETITION )
Like I said, Wembley will not be the Live 2009 DVD. Logistically it will be Vancouver, or another show in the next 3 weeks they film. They are likely aiming for a Thanksgiving (United States) release for the holiday season. To go through all the video of two shows from 15 cameras and to master audio, cut the takes. Wembley just does not have the time frame they need. I do think it will be filmed and maybe aired. No DVD sorry.

Coldplays 5th - Parachutes II??
I have been having arguments with U2 fans which has gotten me thinking. We all know the story behind Viva La Vida. After X&Y the guys were so critical of themselves. They were bashed by the media, knew their fans took a lot of flack. They gave up and didn't like being around each other. Until Eno stepped in. He saved the band, made them buy a bakery. Get to know each other again. Then made great music. Viva La Vida was Coldplay finding themselves again. They took a beating, Martin hated Coldplay. Will wouldn't approve anything. Then they got back into the rythm. Started getting tight again. They released a good album. One of the best selling of all time in fact. Holds the record for most downloaded album. They have been touring now for a year straight from Sold out gig to sold out gig. I saw them just as the tour was starting off last year. Pemberton Festival, the third song, In My Place kicks in and the lights go over the 50,000 people crowd and you can tell these guys are floored. "Wow, you all stayed to see us?" These guys have got their confidence back. They released a kick ass EP in my opinion. Im a huge critic of Viva La Vida. Prospekts March though, it really made me happy with the sessions. Songs like Prospekts March, Now My Feet Wont Touch The Ground, Lit ii, Glass of Water and Rainy Day. These songs just had magic, passion. They were the Coldplay I got a preview from with Viva La Vida. I tough, well they have found a happy medium now. They played around with the pop sound, then fused it together with their Live 2003 era sound. Then made some pretty good tunes. With a modified track list, Viva La Vida could be their Joshua Tree. Oh and to add to their confidence, Coldplay are killing U2 in album sales, and get this, ticket sales. Coldplay tickets to Wembley are more in demand then U2 tickets to Wembley. What I hope happens is Eno lets the boys grow. These guys have gotten tight on the road again. Chris is a great song writer, all the boys are. The unit of Coldplay is only getting stronger. With LP 5, I don't hope its Parachutes II, or Viva La Vida II. I want to see Coldplay develop that sound they have been looking for. That sound I know they are near. They need to play Parachutes/A Rush of Blood to the Head meets the boundry pushing of Viva La Vida. To create their Joshua Tree. I think it sounds kind of like Prospekts March. Time will only tell. I dont think we'll see the new album till late 2010 early 2011,

Bruce Springsteen Brings Glastonbury Back From The Dead
Springsteen is an amazing performer! One of the best of all time. He always stays good and is always amazing. Jay-Z was awesome when I saw him co-headline with Coldplay last summer. I expected it to be boring, but man was it awesome. So maybe they weren't lying. Maybe they liked Jay-Z. I know I sure did.

The Snow Patrol Thread
I am also a guy. Im kinda like Chris in where I am fun loving. I also have some man crushes. Amazing concert though, the drive will be worth it, I promise.

Chris Martin's Piano (humor me!)
Hardest Part and Lost? are silent. He uses a MIDI plugin on those songs. His piano is both Acoustic and digital. Its kinda like an arctop guitar, both acoustic and electric. I imagine it has digital output for when played acoustically

Best rock album of the 90s
Achtung Baby. Not purely for the album itself and the Tour that came of the album. How the album was set up. U2 were launched into superstardom with Joshua Tree and a 3 year tour and Movie/album. Then changed everything. This is the best experimental album ever, because its all a parody! They are no longer the young Irish lads, but Bono and The Edge. The tour behind it was the last great rock and roll tour. It was a giant act. Live they found out they couldnt be themselves and they acted how they thought they did. Then changed it to take on roles like The Fly instead of Bono. It was an amazing, experience.

I blame it all on Snow Patrol and their killer set!

New Live DVD (Shot in Vancouver)
Man I hate to say it, you missed one hell of a show! This crowd was more receptive then any crowd I've ever seen! Better then the Police Reunion show (first one in 23 Years). These guys are what U2 were like in their prime. After LeftRightLeftRightLeft, they would be stupid to not release the Vancouver show on DVD. It was an amazing experience. I credit it to the cameras and Snow Patrol kicking ass. Not to mention the biggest band in the world kicking mighty ass!
