  2. Better is a vague term, but my favourite is Lennon. :) That said I feel the Beatles were a lot like Coldplay are. There was a magic chemistry when all four were together, that was never repeated after they split, despite the many hits for example Lennon/McCartney had as single artists.
  3. So the pics are of their families, as suspected :) And so great to hear Chris saying there is no point in being nervous about the release of the album, contrasted to how he used to worry himself sick to the point of not being able to enjoy the time of release. Wonderful to see how he has changed :)

Agreed haha Also surprised Blue Ivy was included. He must be like her favourite uncle or something *lol*

Question: How do we know for sure its Annabelle singing the last sentence? I am actually surprised she is included in the album. Chris must be quite serious about her!
  6. Dickens is a good guess. Its most certainly a classic he´s reading...hmmm
  7. No I agree. He is different than her for sure! I can kinda see what he would see in her though, but I think Chris is too harsh on himself (that unripe banana comment...meh hehe).
  8. What? The Beatles can never be overrated LOL I am a massive fan! Though I also think its totally unfair to compare anyone else to the Beatles. I remember Paul saying once that they were a product of their time or something like that and I agree. Its a unique phenomenon that happened in a unique time. Its a wave no one can catch anymore now , no way you can repeat that :) To me they will always remain the foundation of modern pop/rock music hehe
  9. Depends what your criteria are for rating too. The number of tracks you like? The way the album works as a whole? Whether its innovative or repetitive? Too many criteria. I just give up LOL

Yes I am familiar with the website. Reminds me of Martha Stewart and Oprah hehe That stuff women like haha I wud not know how to rate something like that :) And let me just say I disagree with the slack the "conscious uncoupling" phrase has received (which by the way was not coined by her or Chris). To me it simply was a way for them to rephrase something negative and inevitably painful into something they could see in a positive way. Matter of fact the commitment they show now to the family and each other clearly show they were sincere about it and did not say it just to sound "cool" or different. That said, I am not sure sharing that phrase with the rest of the world was the smartest move hehe I can see why people thought it was a cheap stunt or a snobbish move! Gwyneth has had more than her share of embarrassing moments about what she said or did...hehe She could use a publicist. LOL But I also think people tend to compound on things and look for people to make a mistake every time they get a chance.
  11. I wud not even know how to begin to rate the albums as there are brilliant tracks I adore on each and tracks I like less on each hehe I guess if one had to judge simply out of how cohesive the work is and how it flows I´d rate X&Y lowest, but the rest I would not know hehe
  12. Hmm wud not know except the lithographs on the official web store.

Gosh I dont even think we can presume to know someone by the few things we read on tabloids or bits of interview, however Gwyneth has a snobbish air to her that does not work to her advantage imo hehe I am sure she´s nice though and down to earth, despite appearances. I think some of the stuff she does or say has blown way out of proportion. And dont forget...opposites attract! :)
  14. - 42...made me chuckle. :)

I like "The Chief" better :)
  16. Hmm I think they may play Birds live, if they prioritise material from AHFOD. I mean I remember they played what were ultimately "obscure" tracks from MX like DLIBYH, so why not..they might do the same with AHFOD :)
  17. Yeah he´s gotten confident for real from MX onwards. I mentioned GS because I think its easy to forget how tracks like Always in my head and Another´s arms feature hauntingly beautiful J magic work :)
  18. Must be tiring to be moving so much as you do. Not found the state you like yet? hehe
  19. Hmm I agree about soundtrack music being a free canvas, but i dont see Coldplay being suited for that. I may be wrong, but I think their speciality is the short song formula and the structures of the modern pop song (verse, chorus, bridge, etc). They have been experimenting outside that with success, but I think soundtrack perhaps would be too vast for them hehe
  20. To think J used to play only one-note riffs hehe He surely has come a long way! Adventure is his best work to date imo, but he is also shining on so many songs in GS
  21. Italy is a good country to visit for the most part (but dont expect the service you are accustomed to in the states hehe), to live not so much haha Oh did not know all that about Kentucky :) And yeah I know only KFC from there and Jennifer Lawrence haha
  22. Jedi Leo replied to Coeurli's topic in Fun
Yes I agree. He says so in Everglow even haha
  23. Not necessarily! haha I technically grew up in Italy and never loved the italian culture in general, only a few aspects of it (food LOL). I dont particularly love the american either, but I can understand the nostalgic effect you speak of, having grown up in the american culture as well some things are fond to me simply because they are from my childhood (like baseball hehe). I live now in Denmark and I resonate to that culture more than any other probably! So its not always about where you grew up I guess it differs. (also i believe in past lives, so there hehe) And I agree, never judge a place until you've been there! And even then you will only be exposed to SOME people and some experiences so its not the full picture either. My motto is try not to judge period haha Kentucky...reminds me of Jennifer Lawrence LOL
  24. I´d be shocked if Hymn won't be released as a single plus video. It surely will be.
  25. Looking for a "guitarists" or "fan of Jonny guitar work" thread but cud not find it so far
