Interesting. I was wondering if they got asked about this track in any of the interviews. None that I´ve seen so far mentioned it. Major Minus is a dark-ish track to me both lyric an music wise, albeit rocky hehe

I dont feel Miley Cyrus is in need of redemption LOL But I must admit I only know that song by her, Wrecking Ball and I like it (though I dont own it), I also only know one song by Selena Gomez "Good for you" and that one I own. One Direction makes me cringe haha but just because boybands so not me, though they must have some good songs cuz I absolutely love the one Chris duetted with Grande at the Global Citizen Festival. I dont know about others but whether I like a song or not is not a logical process for me. Its not like you can explain all the time why you like something. You just do :) So yeah sure sometimes it may not make sense to others... I tried to like jazz, I really did...I never managed to. I need a melody to like a song, thats how my brain works I guess :)

I actually find it interesting that such a carefree even funny lyric appear on such a somber track. I find the song to have a dark feeling to it, juxtaposed with strangely upbeat lyrics.

They always say the latest album could be the last album...dont we know it by now :) They just mean they put all they´ve got in it and dont know whats coming up next. So no, they are not going out on a high or a low or going out at all hehe

Yeah I heard that, he said because of the lyrics I think? That he was singing what he was put on this earth to do or something? :) But I think he also said Adventure was his favourite Coldplay song ever? Hehe

Finally, airing now in Cali :) Oh no its some other dude´s late night show, NOT Corden. I give up....*put my hands up to the sky* Update for anyone who should care about the mysteries of US television. It will air at 12:30 AM, so as far as I can understand it airs at the same time throughout all the time zones, which I dont get cuz it said 10:35 pm PT on the web page, so I am confused..but nothing new. I´ll never get how US tv works I guess...

Thats totally understandable! But I guess this is what Coldplay have been trying to do, break the genre boundaries so they can play and write what they want, without needing to adhere to any set of rules. I believe Chris even mentioned it in one of the last interviews, about the only rule in AHFOD being "no rules". I dont think they do it for the sake of changing, but simply because they want to incorporate all the music they love, no limitations. So far they have seemed to be able to do good in all the genres they have tried :) So far I am lucky I like all the directions they have been delving into, though if they go off and do a jazz album or a metal album I am not sure I´ll be able to follow LOL

So I guess you are saying Chris musical taste sucks as he likes both Rihanna, Beyonce and Selena Gomez *LOL* Fair nuff :) I dont consider Rihanna or Beyonce or Miley Cyrus as "artists" to be honest...being a musician and songwriter myself I always consider music artists those who actually write their own songs and play instruments :) But I do appreciate that the aforementioned are mostly singers and they are mostly about their looks and voice. Moreover there are quite a few talented people behind the scenes writing for the pop world, obscure swedish people mostly I heard hehe I am always wary of people judging others´musical taste. I listen to almost everything from Mozart to Sigur Ros to Coldplay to Tori Amos. My criteria is simply if I like a song, I´ll buy it, I dont care who sings it or where its from or in what genre or if its deemed a "respectable music taste" to have :) That said, I follow closely only a very few bands, which I consider true artists in all their facets, like Coldplay, Lana Del Rey, Noel Gallagher, Tori Amos and some obscure danish ones you would not know LOL Lastly I dont have unfailing criticism about anything. I like Coldplay but you won't see me front row or visiting them at the bakery hehe (not that theres nothing wrong with that, on the contrary, I am just not that fan fan I guess :). If album #8 turns out to be a jazz album, you won't see me praising it on this forum I assure you *LOL* It just so happens that I am lucky enough to like all their catalogue so far ,like a few other artists :)

I love gravity but its not as catchy as yellow or fix you imo. And ay ay about Oasis being the kings of b-sides. Now b-sides are no more really. Not even Noel bothers releasing proper b-sides for his solo records , meh...:/

I never considered Gravity as underrated? I always thought it was quite a praised song in Coldplay b-sides catalogue. And you cant compare the b side then to the situation now..now we dont even get b-sides :/ Back then Coldplay , but also other bands Oasis comes to mind, used to release so many b-sides. it was the best :) And Im not a one direction fan....jesus no LOL But I love Mylo :)

Oh wow I think I found the channel on my TV. Yay! Showing Supergirl now, so it should be the right channel :) Look forward to seeing them! I dont think I´ve ever seen Coldplay on the tv before haha Always saw the live appearances later on youtube or on the video links :)
