I got an email from the digital store today. I can confirm we are going to get a crappy mp3 of around 160 kbps, so even less than iTunes! I am quite disappointed they do not offer a lossless option or at least a higher quality download! After all we will have to wait until December to hear the CD version. Let´s try and write to them to let them know we want something better!

That´s exactly how I feel. This year has delivered me so many blows I am just waiting to see myself falling down on the ground.

I actually realized that I did not much mind that they debuted so many songs, but mostly that there is so much time between debuting the songs and the album release. If we had heard the songs in June/July and MX was released in August, I would not have minded much, cuz I would have gotten my hands on the material soon after listening to it. But I guess the waiting is what bothers me most: it just means I am more likely to listen to them again and again and spoil my experience of the album.

Part of me is kinda glad I get to keep my alien theory but part of me is disappointed that an official theory has not been developed, but that Mylo Xyloto is indeed a meaningless word or an any-meaning-you-like word. I can only say the Oracle should not have tricked us :angry:

My order is though from the UK/European store. Maybe that explains the differences? I find customer service to be quick and effective though if you want to contact them about your order.

The quickest way for you to get the album would probably be to buy it in your local store. That said, Amazon has excellent customer service and they have a release-day delivery option that applies to a lot of US zip codes. The Coldplay store though has the album at roughly the same price and also has express delivery shipping, so I think either would be fine. As some suggested that more money goes to the band with the Coldplay store, you might choose that. And of course there you got options like vinyl with mp3 download on release date and the wonderful limited edition :)

Speaking of the track, Chris Martin and Co told us that their new LP is “designed to be a story", stating: "It’s supposed to be about two people who grow up separately in a very big oppressive city, and they each are a bit lost in their lives." He continued: "They join this gang, meet, fall in love and then try and escape and fall out, then get back together.” Anyone else starting to get a bit confused? Frontman Chris went on to explain: “Paradise is about a girl really, the female half of the album, just about being a bit lost in the world and escaping through fantasy”. As for the promo for the song – which has been directed by Hype Williams - Chris admitted he prefers not to grace the screen for the band’s music videos, and would rather leave that up to “someone attractive and beautiful”. He went on to hint the Paradise video “might have to have a girl in it,” joking that “it might actually be pleasurable to watch!” While he may not be a huge fan of appearing on screen, there’s no denying Mr. Martin is most definitely at home on the stage. Thanks for posting the video here. What an amazing version of Paradise! They are all in top form! Chris voice, Jonny´s guitar, Will´s great drums and singing, fantastic bass. It just does not get any better than this! I edited the first post lyrics accordingly :) Thank you!

"Where we fit in, I don´t care" Mylo Xyloto in one sentence there! I always felt this was their album of liberation and this interview has confirmed it. It just shows not only their bravery in breaking stereotypes about music genre and about who Coldplay is, but also it shows a strong artistic integrity, where they are expressing themselves, regardless of the consequences. I believe it is a lesson we can all learn and boy am I looking forward to MX! :)
