Found these links for the iTunes Charts. Here you can track Paradise and Mylo Xyloto on 22 countries. (However Paradise is not listed on the UK store but it is nr 9 on the chart on the actual iTunes store page..hmm) Singles - http://www.apple.com/euro/itunes/charts/top10songs.html Albums- http://www.apple.com/euro/itunes/charts/top10albums.html I think Paradise is doing well and Mylo is doing very well. What do you think?

It might be. It surely would explain why Paradise is the only song missing from the BBC chart.

That chart must not be updated. If you compare the BBC chart and the iTunes Store UK chart ,they are identical, except for the iTunes chart having Paradise at number 9.

Really makes me wanna buy a turntable :( Maybe I can wish it for Christmas! Anyone can suggest a good one moderately priced? (Can you get a turntable with earphone plug by the way? I don´t have decent speakers :(

Melody comes first for me, what can I say :) But there are songs I still like but choose not to dwell on the lyrics too much...:)

Yes that´s what I meant. You put it better :) I guess I am more forgiving of any other aspects as long as I like the melody and lyrics a close second.

I appreciate any serious questions :) I think you mean whether there are songs Coldplay have done that I don´t like. Yes, there are quite a few songs I never really listen to and some songs even on the setlist that I never grew to like. However I have loved every single song on Viva, b-sides included, and that was a first for me. I hope MX is gonna be like that.

Then I think it would be fair to say you like/love the song but dislike the arrangement and production. I hear this point of view often, even though I can not relate to it. I can not think of a song I dislike because of other reasons than a melody I don´t like...I guess it all comes down to what you focus on in a song

I kinda see why the mods would not censor any negative comments, but I think that there is no harm in making a thread of MX compliments: negative comments would not be censorable but they would definitely be off-topic.

I actually like Major Minus in both versions, even though initially I was put off by the studio one and the distortions, but I think the studio one will fit nicely in the album as those background distorted noises really add to the paranoia of the lyrics, whereas the live version will be most enjoyable as a stand-alone track or in the live set

I like that it´s so sumptuous: it´s just unabashedly sweeping with such exuberance in the last part.

Now I like Paradise, but I can imagine that even if I did not like it, it would kinda tough to express the full spectrum of my disliking to Chris´wide-eyed excited face. Kinda like when a child comes to you with an awful drawing and you put up a smile and say "That´s wonderful!" hehe Not saying they would not be able to handle criticism: of course they would. But I would definitely go easy and be gentle if I told them I did not like it :)

Paradise! Somehow I can´t get Jonny´s three-note-riff out of my head...

I have to get myself together to make homemade Bolognese Ragu for my pasta, but that requires me to get up from the couch and walk away from the forum....hmmm dilemma

I totally respect opinions, but I am curious as to why people dislike this. Sure it is so simple and it´s no poetry but it does convey a picture of turning something negative into something even joyful. Chris has never been a grand lyricist, but he has a straight-forwardness that I do like. And by the way, no love for "I´d rather be a comma than a full stop" or "Maybe I am in the gap between the two trapezes". I think those are quite elegant :)

Yeah Noel admitted that he loves his comfort zone ! hehe I love his new material by the way and will go see him live for sure. I like the fact that Noel and Coldplay are now linked by the wheel breaking the butterfly thing hehe

All this MX stuff makes me bubbling inside! So so excited! When did you begin feeling the good vibes about MX? For me, it really began when I first heard Every Tear live, then it grew when I saw the cover art and for some reason it really hit me when I heard the title of the album!
