  1. I guess it will all depend on how the track is received. I mean if it´s a giant success, surely they will have to include it in the setlist? It´s anybody´s guess though whether they will. Hard to say at this point.
  2. I like the losing hope interpretation much better :)
  3. Those songs are similar in style and chords, but I just want you to notice how more layered and developed Paradise is: I hear new things every time I listen to it. I think that´s what definitely sets it apart and makes it a Coldplay song (and of course Jonny boy´s 3 notes :)
  4. Yeah we are in dire need of useless threads :)
  5. We all learn from our mistakes. And I think we are all guilty of rushing to judgement often enough and seeing only the negative. (and in all areas of life, not only music!). I am glad you like it: it´s much more fun to like it than despise it. That we can all agree on!
  6. Ah but what about if they did not change their style? They just added new styles? :) Maybe that thought is more palatable to some? I think it might be closer to the truth.
  7. Give it a week...it should climb higher in the charts. I cheer for both the single and album to rise! :) *Currently Paradise 8th in the danish iTunes and Mylo 5th*
  8. I got two feelings about the show. First: I think a lot more people will want to listen to the two new songs now, especially those that were let down by Paradise Second: Paradise will sound different live than the studio version. I agree with "our escape": I think a lot more layers will be heard and opinions might change
  9. Nah it´s not like ingredients. It´s more like a cheese topping you can remove. Tracks can be skipped :)
  10. Yes there will be genres on MX that are at the opposite sides of the musical spectrum, so unless you like a pretty wide variety of music, you will be disappointed by something and will like something else. This is definitely my feeling about MX at this point. People get inspired by different things. What to some is cheesy soulless , to others it´s awe-inspiring. It´s inevitable.
  11. Yes very hard to market a concept album, even harder to market a concept album incorporating different genres. Coldplay have themselves admitted that they put everything in this album, so all the styles they have used in the past and present.
  12. Hahaha what an hilarious thought! I think it would akin to a Beatles fan listening to Do You want to know a secret, fall into a coma and waking up to Tomorrow Never knows :)
  13. So the girl in Paradise put a massive effort into achieving Paradise but failed? Meh I don´t like the wiki definition. For my own listening pleasure I will stick to my interpretation, even if it might not be the one intended :)
  14. I must admit I skip tracks on both Parachutes and A Rush, so yeah I can definitely like an album and skip tracks. (Will probably not happen with MX though as it did not happen on Viva either)
  15. Nah people don´t like it probably cuz you can´t like every genre of music and Coldplay are playing with a wider range of genres in the last few years than ever before. With such a wide variety, some songs are bound to disappoint someone sooner or later.
  16. This post made me realize that maybe this forum will have to accept that maybe not everyone can like EVERY Coldplay song as they are now jumping styles like crazy, so isn´t it kinda normal that some might not dig the new songs as they are SO different from songs in the past? Maybe we have been putting Coldplay in a box, but they are bigger than that and can actually make a wider variety of music than we thought possible
  17. Chris uuuh uuuh in the past as well you know ;) Try and change para para to lyrics of your choice and see if you like the melody then :)
  18. Take a break and switch to Major Minus hehe I found myself listening to Paradise too many times!
  19. Oh wow! I am glad I am not the only one changing my mind about a song. It happened to me with both ETIAW and UATW. I was actually thinking today that a lot of people have preconceived ideas that synths and/or hip-hop influences are too poppy and in focusing only on that, they might miss the fantastic melody underneath. I am glad at least one person seemed to fit this theory :)
  20. Thought the exact same thing ! I can´t wait to see what´s hiding on those screens!
  21. Do you like this better? Every siren is a symphony? Cuz it´s the same thing :)
  22. Nice!!! "From underneath the rubble sing a rebel song...Para para hehe" :flutterby:
  23. That´s the spirit! Just because a song or two are not to your liking, this does not mean MX will disappoint you. Keep the excitement up! :)
  24. Both Paradise and the album quickly climbed the charts, both in my local and american iTunes store I can see. So so happy for them! I hope it continues like this and that Mylo will be well-received!
  25. I am sure Will cares a great deal, otherwise as I said he would have no problems being heard in the band. Everyone has such a reverence and respect for his opinion.
