  1. But how can you cure someone when they are already dead? So maybe we are looking for curing something when someone dies.....hmmmm
  2. ^^Thats great! I guess the mods know what to use best and where. I hope we can get some advertising about this and get more people to join us :)
  3. Welcome!! There is a dedicated thread to this song where you can geek away: its also one of my favorite songs ! And of course threads about any other song too. And we have a Coldplaying listening party occasionally where we listen to whole albums together. You´re welcome to join!
  4. I got that error multiple times (Im from outside the US). My solution was just to keep clicking, eventually the error would go away and I´d get back to my usual "sorry no matches found" LOL
  5. Yes, no wonder! I think its amazing how at each concert they make it look like they really enjoy playing it ! haha I think they get the feedback from the crowd and the experience is then enjoyable when live, but Im guessing some songs they wish they´d never have to sing again haha I love how they always say "It could be someone´s first or only concert, thats why we have it to give it our all in each song". One of the reasons I love them: they are also just some incredibly decent empathic human beings!
  6. Totally hilarious! haha I loved it! Especially love how happy Chris looks singing Adventure in the beginning, their lovely duet of UATW, the lemonade sugar rush and when James sneaked in bed with Chris I just laughed out loud! LOL Chris is REALLY good at imitations too haha Only downside: the video made me have some serious Cali nostalgia! I wanna go back naaaaaaaaaaaaao :D
  7. Still watching but I had to post about how Chris seems to be enthusiastic about singing the new songs (Adventure, Hymn) then when the old ones come on , the older it is the more his face says "Jesus, what a drag" LOL Like his face singing Yellow hahaha
  8. I am more than pleased to see quite a few got good tickets for these new shows!! Finally some proper fans will be on the floor as well where they belong! hehe Im wondering though out of curiosity, am I the only one who got offered only ONE pair of tickets? I clicked for about half an hour straight yesterday and half an hour as well during the original pre-sales. Ironically though the tickets I got are probably the ones I would have chosen if I could choose (or very close to!), because the floor is only good if you are all in front for me (as Im of average height 1.83 and the person who's coming with me is short), so we might have ended up not seeing much if we are anywhere behind the very first front rows.
  9. If someone wore a viking hat and made fun of the danish culture I´d feel spited and tell him/her to sod off! But if someone wore the viking hat to celebrate my culture cuz they think the vikings are one bunch of handsome dudes *lol* I´d be pleased and flattered about it. So yeah intention matters a whole lot in this case!
  10. Sure I can see the sense in this. (the former part you mentioned, not your latter comment you cheeky :P) It is harder to relate to a band if they keep moving away from the music you love, however I believe there will always exist a thread or more where people who love their early work gather and share love and frustration hehe And I think that thread belongs here :P (Hmm my not so veiled attempt in trying to keep you from leaving the forum LOL) See @I ran away ? Oldplayers and Newplayers can like each other. We are an example of it! LOL (At least I do like you and enjoy our discussions, I assume/hope you do too :)
  11. Sure I did, for your peace of mind hehe But I don't think the code is exclusive. I used it several times myself and you can use it too it seems so :) I think its like the other later code: everyone can use it. Good luck with finding tickets for your friend! :)
  12. Oh yea you'd think so. I would have lol But Oldolayers still gather to share their love of the early material so why not even earlier? :) Not many people may be familiar with it though. I must admit I'm not :-/
  13. And about the songs of parachutes I don't like, it's not really a criticism. I just find them too slow and the melodies don't hold my attention. I must admit trying to be a dutiful Coldplay fan I tried to force myself to like them more than once haha but it's not happening. Some slow songs are absolutely lovely but others just don't sound good to me. And the whole parachutes album has a collection of songs which don't sound good to me as a whole so probably that's why I kept listening to only some cuz it's those I ultimately like. (Probably how some of you feel about AHFOD! ) hehe I wish I could get more technical but I really think it's a matter of musical taste more than anything. I'm not even sure that it's because they are slow. I mean ghost stories is mostly slow and I love it. So yeah hard to pinpoint what it is :)
  14. You replied just as I was about to edit to add something haha I was mulling over this a bit more and wanted to clarify my mention of heavy criticism and what I mean by that. I mean criticism where there is no way in hell or heaven that I would ever change my mind about whether I like a song. I already establish its rubbish (and I'm possibly even very aggravated about it). In this case posting on a general forum where other people love it would be useless to me. I would post once or twice letting my opinion be heard but beyond that posting again and again how I loathe would aggravate me (because I'd find very little like-minded response) and aggravate the people in the thread cuz they just think "what's with this guy and all his bashing?" So I specifically meant that kind of criticism where there is really no point in discussing cuz u don't want a discussion you just need to vent at how crap something is. In those cases I'd absolutely stick to a dedicated thread I'd feel it's respectful that way. Instead if I don't like a song but I'm open to hear what others think it's good about it and I personally don't feel so strong about my hate of it that I resort to calling other people on their appalling musical taste, in this case it could very well be discussed in a civil manner on the general forum anywhere. But if you have no way to ever change your mind about something discussing it becomes a moot exercise where you just reiterate the same things back and forth and at a point people get tired of it. (I'd assume from both sides)
  15. Check the concert thread. I hope my code works :)
  16. Oh yes American TV is a jungle lol it's alright once if you figure out all the gazillion channels and local times vs time zones broadcasts lol
  17. If the mods/advertisers want to put up the ad earlier just let me know and I'll set the poll to close even earlier so we have a time to post :)
  18. I've never heard of that. But why would they leave the forum? They'd have a thread about it I guess. :) I'm sure there are at least some fans of the early early material here.
  19. Well I must admit that any "criticism" or "negative comments" about early albums and/or positive comments about later albums I don't post where you guys hang hehe not because I feel unsafe but because I feel I want to respect your "flow" and your space here . If I had heavy criticism of the first albums I wanted to get off my chest and discuss with like-minded (I don't but it's hypothetical) I'd create a thread about it. Any dissent I would voice once or twice (respectfully) on the main forums before going to the dedicated thread. I don't know but that's how I feel about it and not because of feeling unsafe but for various other reasons : it's better and more satisfying for me to share and go all out with like-minded, I don't have a desire or wish to keep posting things in a place where the vast majority is celebrating the very same thing I don't like (and end up at best upset at most pissed) and I personally perceive this forum as a fan site where celebration is the norm, heavy criticism is somewhat rare. It's kinda surprising i came to this conclusion as I had this idea that I would post anything anywhere but I came to this conclusion actually. Not because it's unsafe but because it would work better for me and I'd enjoy my time here more as well. My two cents on my perspective on this :)
  20. It went mixed. Some songs I really enjoyed others I wanted to skip/did not hold my attention much. I found that I enjoyed the songs from parachutes I like more as part live 2003 cuz they alternate with others from A Rush. So that's how it went :) it kinda confirmed how I always felt about the album but I was glad I did the experiment :) I also established for sure that for me I seem to enjoy listening to (most) songs from the first two albums only if I'm considerably somber or low mood. Not sure why but that's how it works for me apparently !
  21. 19L is a good section ! I am happy for my tickets there on Saturday. And thanks for clearing that out about the floor...it settles it for me. You don't see much crammed in the crowd unless you are way way up front...or unless you´re tall :) However you get confetti on you and balloons so yay! :D
  22. Your husband keeps surprising you! hehe Well done :D And congrats! It may be just luck but Im perhaps thinking servers in the USA get offered more tickets than computer outside the USA..either that or I was just meant to be offered one pair of tickets and thats it LOL
  23. Going to sleep..not getting any tickets at all. Wish the best of luck to all you! Code: AHFODpre
