Its not more melodic to me. Its just a piano and a voice. For some songs this can work, for this it doesn't work for me.

Like I said...mystifying to me. I read earlier that someone posted here (cant remember who sorry) that she had listened to her local radio and they were sort of bashing Coldplay and then changed their mind when they listened to Hymn and actually were surprised it was a great song....so Im thinking maybe people are just ignorant, not sure what other explanation there might be. They are as valid as an artist as anyone else.

Really? I´d make a thread about it....but I had very little luck with it in a previous forum. Namely because some people are very touchy about religion and science even. I would love to discuss it though :) And generally everyone gets touchy, I don't think anyone can say they don't hehe I think the hardest part for me at least is when I feel something bothers me or irritates me, the hard part is for me to swallow that toad and just take it up with myself until I feel calm enough to post/reply again. I´ve long come to the conclusion , at least my experience, that when Im pissed or upset its never anyone´s fault than mine. Its just that sometimes what people say might push some buttons in you that question some things you yourself are not so sure of and are afraid to admit even to yourself...so its easier to lash back at others than to look at the foundation of your beliefs/opinions. So ultimately its a useful experience and we learn from others but it often is unpleasant hehe

This is celebrated in many places around the world, both as part of common religions (christianity) and other denominations (paganism). In the USA its celebrated as Groundhog Day, in Italy as Calendaria (similar to the one you mention here, from candles= light), in neo-paganism its Imbolc (midwinter =half way between the winter solstice and spring equinox). Religion has adopted it from ancient paganism, but I think its all very fitting as all of this is a celebration of the light (in paganism its the light of the Sun, in Christianity its Jesus as the light of the world, Groundhog day is about the advent of Spring). I do like it how traditions like this can be celebrated by different groups but under similar meanings :) I also like how you eat those tamales made of corn, corn being of golden colour...like the Sun/Light :) Apologise if this sounded geeky...I do have a passion for these things and I like to share /exchange :D

I removed the closing date and then i could see I could set a new one :) So I set it til February 4. Afterwards the poll will close automatically. All should be well now then :)
