Predictions, not wishful thinking haha :P Perhaps a bit selfish, but I hope they play mostly new songs, as I´ve seen most of the others live already :)

We know Hymn will be featured as well as Princess of China (if Rihanna is confirmed). The other songs I really really want/ hope to see are Adventure of a Lifetime and A sky Full of Stars. These 4 are probably the most overall enjoyable and entertaining for me to watch as a whole package: song, music, dancing, confetti, lights, etc.

^^ I like the latter best as a layout :)

I don't know...the only song that comes to mind to me now is Viva La Viva, because of all that "we want the king dead because he´s bad" theme. Serving his head on a silver plate might be the cure to the afflictions he´s putting on the population he is presiding over.

Well I thank you for appreciating my post and my listening to Parachutes! :) To be fair though, I think some Oldplayers might have a different perspective as their once beloved band is NOT going in a direction they like, so I think this contributes to them being more bitter about the new work than I ever could be about Parachutes...At least Im guessing thats why they feel that way? If Coldplay now churned out several albums with more of the "meh" songs I don't like on Parachutes, would I sit being nostalgic about the "good old MX/ AHFOD days"? In all honesty I probably would. *lol* But what I think sets Coldplay apart and perhaps get lost sometimes in our discussions is that they truly are quite varied in their output even now. You still get ballads and more energetic songs and more pop-ish and some more alternative...so they keep kinda blending it all up, so I think its overall a good thing! :) You know after listening to Parachutes and really trying to like it, cuz you guys have listed here a countless valid ways in which it´s a great album!, I kinda concluded that liking a song or an album is really like falling in love. Some of your friends might present you to the most gorgeous woman all your friends love and say "she´s amazing and such a great personality, you should totally date her!" and you can appreciate it, but your heart just doesn't respond to it....then you meet this woman that some of your friends might go "what? her? Why? Nothing special, she is so meh" and your heart just goes "boom boom boom" (to quote Chris haha) and you don't know why...but there it is :)

True, but there is no way I believe anyone can "see or perceive" an intention to make fun of or spite the Indian culture in the Hymn for the Weekend video...So I still believe what I said before, that these people who criticise don't even take intention into consideration, for them ALL "white /westerners" use elements of other cultures just to spite, i.e. you are preventively assuming something based on someone´s skin colour/place of birth. The article I posted earlier has a really good analysis of this "phenomenon".

And just to be clear, the action of that "cures someone" is in a verse of the song we are looking for, not in the title, correct?

Haha Yes! I´d guess he can get quite neurotic sometimes LOL But he is also funny and so curious and enthusiastic about everything! Some characteristics I have too, so I think we´d have fun :) Now the sharing of the bed would be a :no::no: for me (I can be a modern man, but not that modern LOL), but Im guessing you would not protest that much about it, @Batman :sneaky::sneaky: Yes yes I said it.... *LOL*

And I wanna add I DO get it why some Oldplayers are so negative and frustrated and strong in their comments. Im not saying anyone is "holier than thou" here. I cant speak for others, but I certainly am not! We are all humans and emotions can run high, both ways! But I think that it is imperative for us all to stop before we post and ask ourselves "how is what I'm gonna post gonna make someone else feel? How would I feel if someone said that to me?" Sometimes we are so caught up in how we feel that we forget that everything we post has an impact on the people who read it...Maybe just by using this little prevention, we might have a place where posts are constructive and not offensive.

Well I hope they don't. There have been heated exchanges in the past, but there is no reason we cant now all behave like respectful adults and find a way to co-exist. I mean....I´d miss the Oldplayers if they went *LOL* Ok there I confessed it haha I honestly think it would diminish the community as a whole and fracture it even more. I cant speak for all "Newplayers" but Im fairly certain it all went south because initially some Oldplayers were offensive with their comments, accusing others of appalling musical taste, being rude, etc and then the backlash started. I hope that everyone who feels its a good idea to respect each other remain in the forum, because it´s a benefit to us all in the end. I mean the geeking out you guys do in the Oldplaying forum about all the details of the early albums haha I love it :) (Im secretly sneaking in once in a while hoping one day I will learn to love Parachutes LOL) And yes you and I frequently disagree, but I enjoy it! *lol* Its constructive and good to have different points of view. It makes us all richer because of it.

Keep trying when you get the error code. For me it always went away after about 5-6 tries. Happened to me several times. Reload the page might help too. Not sure
