Jippie, they've won 3 Grammys , unfortunately not "Album of the year" - this would be great. Viva la vida or death and all his friends is the best album of the year!!!! I do not know a single song of Robert Palm and this country woman. I did not like the outfits, too much colors for my eyes :cool:! Chris was as funny as always. The performance was ok, but Chris' voice was not the best. On these big pics you realize how much make-up the guys wear :-)

I agree with that. The whole album needs to be remastered. I also would cut out the intro and the "arabic" sounding pieces in Yes. And I would have left Life in technicolor without vocals, I love Chris' voice but the song is just such a great instrumental.

We had slightly warm temperatures yesterday - so it was Strawberry Swing too! Today it's colder and I like Violet hill!

Yes is a sleeper hit - that's right. I've always skipped it in the three months after buying the album but now I really like it too. Chris' voice low voice is very special, the lyrics are interesting, you have got a lot of space to interprete it. The sound is also great. And I adore The Chinese Sleep Chant, it's just overwhelming and a strong contrast to Yes. I just don't like the violin intro at the beginning of Yes, I don't get the meaning of it, maybe somebody is able to explain it to me :confused:. And I also don't like the strong oriental parts in it, when it comes on I always feel like I am on a turkish bazaar :laugh3:, I don't think it fits into the song, it's too much.

What about - Might be a ghost?

It's not the best song of the album but also not the worst. When I first listened to it I was so surprised by the turning-point up until 2:42. " You thought you might be a ghost..." Chris' singing is so gorgeous in this part.

I'm afraid to say it's Lovers in japan again, this song is so addictive. I have to get used to Goldrush, it's a strange song but not bad at all.

Thank you, very interesting article. If Chris had replace Beatles instead of Oasis, I would agree. ;) Oasis have some good tracks but not loads of them and the voice of Liam Gallagher is so annoying.
