  1. So are you the one who joined me in the "fucking drama" option? I always ask for soluble medication, too. Unfortunately that's not always available. :( My suspicion is that it really started to be so hard for me to swallow pills after I had a prescription for strong antibiotics which I didn't tolerate and made me puke when I was little. Confession day: There's my other thing. I'm so awfully afraid of puking. :uhoh: I hadn't puked for 10 years until January 2009 when I ate something wrong. I hope it'll take at least another 10 years until I have to puke again!
  2. Wow, thank you! I'll keep trying... after all I have 2 weeks to "look forward" to! (It's not the fear of getting it stuck in my throat, it's the swallowing process itself. Once it's swallowed everything's fine.)
  3. Mhmm, that was quite disappointing! I kept looking at the minutes left until the ep was over and thought how on earth they're going to end all this in such few minutes...
  4. I didn't know who he was either! Here's the link: http://www.life.com/image/86426544 And here's the wiki page about him: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Martin Here's another one of the two Martins:
  5. So it was the interview you were asking for? None other came to my mind. Yes, please share your pics!! How was it? Was it the same Mounira went to? And YES, 12th of June!!! Let's swap mobile numbers next week via PM! And is there a meeting point set for after the concert already?
  6. Getting friendly with paps :P
  7. If that's a working way for you that's fine - you're one of the people I envy! :)
  8. Same for me, except the "I'm over it now" part! I know it's just in my head, the awareness on its own however doesn't make it better, the inner refusal stays... That's the annoying thing about the body. You can't just say "message received, now swallow nevertheless, you idiot". Or let's say tell your body that you're fully aware that you just burnt your hand so it can stop hurting now.
  9. Water alone is getting me nowhere! :embarrassed: I swallow the water and the pill stays where it was haha. Guess I'm a hopeless case. :stunned: Mhmm, no help! I've read on some sites that looking up makes it even harder to swallow... and I mustn't look up, I had dislocated vertebrae and this is why I have to take them after all!
  10. Thanks, how comforting. :P You even don't have problems when they are the bitter-without-sugar-cover kind? Anyone here having similar problems and willing to share some tricks? :uhoh:
  11. Hi!! :cheesy: How good to see you! Well, long story short I had 6 dislocated vertebrae, didn't realise it was that way because I didn't actually have back / neck problems. I felt sick and dizzy though almost every day for 2 weeks. Only on Monday we had the idea that my spine could be the reason for all this nausea and dizziness. Was difficult to find because I had a stomach bug at the same time!! Then on Tues the orthopaedist reset them all and gave me injections. On Thurs, when I thought it was getting better already it became really bad in the evening. So I went to see the doc on Friday again and because I need immediate help to relax the tension in my muscles and there is no physio available on weekends I need to take these pills that relax the muscles. So 3 times a day I need to take them, after 2 weeks of doing that I need to go to the doc again to check if everything's ok, then I need to strengthen the muscles of my back with some kind of exercise... Until then I mustn't raise my arms above my shoulders and mustn't look up with my head - be careful with how I move in general... Yes, that's the short version  How are you love?
  12. Hi, I thought I'd ask you all because since I've told some people that I have problems swallowing big pills I realised I'm not on my own. :uhoh: For 2 weeks now I have to swallow huge pills - 3 effing times a day! :bigcry: After some failed attempts to take one (together with food) I finally gave up, pounded the pill into powder, mixed it with sugar and grape juice and drank it. :embarrassed: They're the ugly kind without any layer around them and taste bitter as soon as you put them into your mouth. The ones in capsules or with that shiny layer around them are easier for me because you can have them in your mouth for a while without dissolving immediately... easier doesn't mean that I never have problems with them though. :\ So - do you have problems swallowing pills as well or are you one of those people I envy for being able to do it without thinking? Tell me your tricks please!
  13. Thanks Nancy!! Good to hear I'm not on my own with that problem! How are you?

  15. "Too early to get up on a Saturday!" was my first thought. Couldn't fall back asleep though.
  16. :curtain: Do people actually talk about the weather in here? Today it's just like the past couple of days: Not really like it should be, cloudy, raining for a couple of minutes, then sunshine again... not that warm. I want :sunny:
  17. I am such a loser. After 3 failed attempts to swallow those bloody halves of the pill (with banana) I read a bit about it on the net and finally pounded the pill into powder, mixed it with grape juice and sugar and drank it. :disappointed: It worked with something to eat yesterday but today my inner refusal to swallow them was just too high I guess. I'll spend 2 days in Paris just for sightseeing etc, then on the third day I'll go to the Jay-Z concert!
  18. Good morning Antonia! Paracetamol was the cure-all when I was in the UK as well. :dozey: Good that you found better advice at home. Don't ask how I am... :disappointed: I have to take huge pills 3 times a day now for 2 weeks and did I mention I have problems to swallow pills??? :bigcry: For a moment I even thought I couldn't go to Paris next week but the doc said it's alright and I don't want my neck's vertebrae to ruin something that I have been looking forward to for half a year!
  19. Welcome to coldplaying! :nice: The pics were taken at the 2009 Black Ball in New York, the thread about the night is here, coldplaying gallery here.
