Rodolph & Robert - the topic for those who speak milleuze
Yes, White Lies were cool!! And it was so nice meeting you again, too! Kasabian was almost a pain because of the sound problems. People weren't really into it and I wasn't either - the songs sounded rather awful. You had a great spot then! I was further back because of my neck but I loved the spot, free space to dance! The setlist on Sat was perfect for me, I loved that they played Map of the Problematique! Have loads of fun at next weekend's gig!

Rodolph & Robert - the topic for those who speak milleuze
Salut Mounira!! I'm sorry I couldn't say bye to you on Sat... :disappointed: But I can understand well that you went home, we were in one of the last RER's and the station was so crowded! I would have gone directly again as well. It was awesome!!!! Where were you standing? I listened to this so often today. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUqIKNodjoc]YouTube- Muse, Wankdorf Jam, Stade de France 12th June 2010.MTS[/ame] Hope we'll meet at a concert again soon!

I just made a mp3 from this. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUqIKNodjoc]YouTube- Muse, Wankdorf Jam, Stade de France 12th June 2010.MTS[/ame] Cooky, I think you can never move without leaving at least one box unpacked! A German comedian once said in a show that he's thinking about putting banknotes on the ground of each box when he'll move the next time - as a motivation to unpack it. How are you all? I've seen Dave got his Glasto ticket. :bomb: So jealous! Q Magazine was randomly putting 20 pairs of tickets in subscriber's magazines... I looked immediately when my copy arrived - nothing of course. :disappointed:

Pictures, webcams, mugshots etc etc etc

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Hi, yes we've been there. Me however, I got outside of the stadium very late because I was exchanging details with the people who were standing with me and took some pics etc. We didn't see you and it was still very crowded. Given that the last RER was leaving soon, we just headed to the station and only got one of the last trains! Sorry it didn't work.

Yes, 12x zoom, I love that camera! Here's the video from Pip, she was standing next to me, I'll watch her other videos now. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUqIKNodjoc]YouTube- Muse, Wankdorf Jam, Stade de France 12th June 2010.MTS[/ame] Just awesome. To my mother "Uprising" already is just "noise" (her words!). Wonder what she would call this, haha!

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
I didn't look at the other setlists, only read that ours was better. :) And thanks to some people from the Muse board I've seen Tom Kirk, who is like... their "Phil". Then later I found out that I was standing in front of Kate Hudson all night!! I actually took two pics of her by accident because it was so funny to see the lighting booth being covered in the confetti. Reading what Perrine and other people said about standing near the front I'm even more happy I was further back: I had a great view on the stage, could soak in the atmosphere but had space to dance at the same time. :awesome: I think I want to do it similarly in Wembley as well. At least if we can't get near a barrier there. :uhoh: It's a plan B I wouldn't mind at all. One of the guys I got to know at the concert was the guitar expert: He could tell us which song would be next only by looking at which guitar Matt was using! :stunned: There are so many great pics on the web from the concert, so I won't bother you with mine all that much, here's a selection though: Such a shame this one is blurry! :bomb: Dom's facial expression looks like a gnome's or something. Matt was really into it! As the lighting booth was directly behind me I could see all the camera's views at once. :awesome: Here's the booth covered in confetti, Kate Hudson on the left: Dom and Chris on the "moving lift thingy". The drum & bass jam part was awesome, I need to find a good video of that later!! The non-existent bum pic: :wacky: Then Matt joined them for Undisclosed Desires: (pensive Dom :wacky:) The UFO on the right side: And I love that it says on the setlist "LED Matt" He looked like a christmas tree! I can't really say which song I liked best, they were all great!! It was funny to hear "I belong to you", during "Time is running out" we guys at the booth all jumped together holding each other's shoulder, what's the word for that? I loved loved loved Map of the Problematique, Starlight, Time is running out... ok, I can't pick just one favourite! :bomb: Finally I heard "Feeling Good". I know people at the Muse board are kind of sick of it but they hadn't played it at the other concert Perrine and me went to so I quite enjoyed it!! And Exogenesis was just awesome. I remember standing there and thinking "how the hell does he do this?"... :awesome: I want to do it again. Now please. :bigcry: I want to feel my chest vibrating from the bass. :bigcry: Can't.wait.for.Wembley. :bomb:

White Lies
They were supporting Muse at the Stade de France on Saturday and they were AWESOME! I've been wearing my WL t-shirt and after their set 2 people approached me to ask for further info about the band and said that they really liked them! :awesome: The guy next to me knew all the lyrics as well, so I wasn't on my own singing and dancing. :) I was standing further back because of my back / neck problems - I wouldn't have survived at the front!!! It was a short set but they played the new song. Mhmmm, what can I say? It was not bad but was similar style than their others so it didn't stand out that much to me. Here's a video I found on YT: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXp0dt6ON3g]YouTube- White lies- bigger than us- stade de france- 12/06/2010[/ame] Ok, some pics:

Kasabian
Good evening!! Perrine has better pics than me as she was standing at the front whereas I was further back, here are some anyways: Their set itself was awful though due to baaaaad sound problems. :\ Tom's microphone was way too silent, they were playing out of synch even! Only for the last couple of minutes it became better. I am sure that was the reason for the crowd not being that crazy for them... I wasn't really enjoying it as well. :disappointed: Such a shame. I was so looking forward to see them again but this was not what I was expecting!!

The official Chavi and Carla and friends off topic thread
... and Anna enjoyed herself very much!! Good evening! I'll post a little about the weekend tomorrow, I'm too exhausted tonight. It was so good to see Perrine again and meeting her friends was nice, too! We didn't stand together at the gig though, they were at the front, I was further back... But there I met really nice people and had an awesome time! With that I say good night, see you tomorrow!

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
June 9, 2010 - submitted by Shany, Israel Q. Beloved Oracle, Don't you find the line "I've got to get out of this hole" in Coldplay's Amsterdam a bit insulting? I don't know how it works in English but in Hebrew the word "hole" refers to an unnecessary, boring and misplaced city. I mean, I've never been there but I'm sure Amsterdam is a very nice place... Thank you! The Oracle replies: The word hole is not used to describe Amsterdam! It has several meanings (one of which is the same as yours) but in this case it means to get out of a bad situation. I have been to Amsterdam many times (as have the band) and you can rest assured it's no hole; it's amazing!

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
June 9, 2010 - submitted by Catherine, United States of America Q. O wise Oracle, I come seeking your advice, for I am in a bit of a pickle. A giant pickle. Right now is a pivotal turning point my life, where I am now realizing who I really am. I have realized that I adore the arts, and that that is who I am. But my parents see potential somewhere else. Somewhere really distant. Say, in mathematics or sciences. They say that art is not a possible career, that it will lead only to misery and unhappiness. They wish for me to throw myself deeper and deeper into more academic fields. For some reason, it's really quite depressing when they say those words. I think I've cried more over this than anything else. To me, artistic expression is quite possibly one of the only reasons why I am still sane. That, and listening to music. Especially Coldplay. I'm currently painting an acrylic work on canvas based on "Now My Feet Won't Touch the Ground". I know I can't have both. Either of the two paths take a substantial chunk out of my time if I choose to invest in them. I don't know whether I should forsake my heart, soul, and sanity, or respect my parents' wishes. Personal fulfillment or academic achievement and potentially more wealth in the future. I don't know which to choose. Please, please help me, Oracle. Thank you, Catherine The Oracle replies: Personally I am a great believe in pursuing your dreams and setting realistic goals so if you've got the talent and passion - which I can tell you have, go for it! Don't look back and regret what you didn't do; life's too short. And just to throw an idea in the mix which may be something you haven't considered but you CAN have both; for instance architecture is certainly a meeting of art and mathematics!
