  1. As you may or may not know, Guitar Hero 5 has just been released, which features "In My Place" by Coldplay. I picked it up this morning and wanted to play the song instantly. Now, before each song loads, you get a bit of trivia about each band. Yet the piece of trivia I saw for Coldplay horrified my very eyes: Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckley and lead singer Chris Martin had cameo appearances in the comedic zombie film Shaun of the Dead. Buckley? BUCKLEY!?!? Oh, the outrage. :veryangry2: Heck, I even took a screenshot: I'm probably making a big fuss over nothing, and the song is still fun to play, but just imagine all the naive casual fans that may now mistake poor Jonny boy's name!
  2. Taking Woodstock - 5/10 Had fun with friends, but in the end, it felt more like an anniversary cash-in than an interesting movie.
  3. Lemme see...just how obsessive of a collector am I? ...meh, I guess not obsessive enough. Maybe someday. ;) Still pretty cool.
  4. If the previous albums are any indication, it will be named after one of the songs on the album. Likewise, I hope one of the songs is titled "Ode to Phil".
  5. Every time I see a new reply to this thread, I get false hope that it's leaked. :bomb: I'll still buy the CD both for quality reasons and the fact that I'm a collector (but only for my absolute favorite bands, who I'll gladly support). That said, I'm still too impatient and if a leak arrives, then I'm listening. (I predicted "within the first week of September" a few months ago, so two days for that to come true)
  6. Zooey Deschanel was my teenage love interest. Seriously.
  7. Eh, I have this gut feeling this is gonna turn out like every other "Least Favorite Song" thread, where somebody gets offended by every song somebody lists. :( I can tell because I'm personally about to flip over the mention of Sparks.

  11. Love to see it. Mainly because I'm insanely bored this weekend and refuse to do homework. :P
  12. Oh good, I'm not the only one who never came to totally adore Warning Sign (I'm actually pretty neutral towards it, though, so it's far from my least-favorite). I will also jump on the "I hate 'A Whisper'" bandwagon. And "Lost+". Bad idea that I hope is never attempted again. A few months ago I posted "Reign of Love" in one of these topics, but you know what? It's grown on me. Disregarding the Cemeteries comment, I do agree that a number of AROBTTH B-sides could have fit A Whisper's place quite nicely. May have made for a near-perfect album.
  13. I scream like a little girl at Coldplay concerts. And I'm a 20-year-old man, dammit. Likewise, it's hard (and awkward) for me to speak for the female population, but the majority do not seem to scream for the same reasons as 90's boy bands. They seem much more appreciative of the music, even if they do sometimes yell "HAVE MY BABIES CHRIS!". Even the occasional girl wearing the "OMG GUY IS SEXY" shirt likely discovered the band through their music first, not their looks.
  14. I recall Guy mentioning this in an interview. Funny stuff, even though I feel sorry for the folks who fall for it. :(

Shiver Someone else think of one, since I have to leave now.
  16. lol I wish I were Guy... (You read that right.)
  17. Yes, and the girls are outright kicking our asses, considering their magical ability to post in threads we cannot, like "Post Sexy Scandalous Swimsuit Shots of Guy Rupert Berryman". Our male species is doomed. :(
  18. It seems like the more popular songs are now $1.29. Hopefully more singles will come. The U.S. iTunes sotre is desperately behind when it comes to B-sides (for MANY artists).
  19. Just brought us to 8 members. :)
  20. ^ Joined! :D Also, I sang Shiver on Guitar Hero for the very first time 15 minutes ago. I have a very deep male voice. I can't figure out whether it was the hardest or the funniest thing I've ever done in my life.
  21. Uh..."I am Your Baby's Nappies"? I can't really think of a good pun for "Nappies", and I'm usually a good pun person. :(
  22. Instead of demanding another Nappies video, I think we should mainly write about our appreciation for The Nappies. That seems like it would be a lot more convincing.
  23. While a lot of live performances are superior to their recordings, I feel that "Lost!" live is an infinitely superior experience. To be honest, I didn't care for the song beforehand, and I think it's lyrics are the worst on the album (yes, I prefer 42 even). But it's a fantastic song to clap along to, and while I wouldn't quite call it an "anthem", it creates quite a bit of energy. Like I've said in other threads, though, I'd like to see "Lost?" replace it on the next tour.
  24. My only concern is that it may be a little too soon after Postcards to send stuff to the Bakery from Coldplaying. But it still sounds like fun, hence why I signed up. :)
  25. At first I was skeptical of this, but after thinking about it for a bit and seeing that awesome song you folks wrote, this sounds like a lot of fun. Sign me up! :D
