Well, we still have months to plan stuff. I'll be wearing a Coldplay shirt, and if you've got one, wear it too. Most of us have settled on glowsticks, but no one's stopping you from taking a sign. As we get closer to the date, we'll probably plan meeting times and locations and stuff. Must-do weekend stuff? Sitting in traffic all day. It's all anybody down here does. Okay seriously, Disneyland is the obvious choice, but really crowded in summer. Beaches are great but also really crowded. My beach recommendation is Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach (same exact area). Hollywood is okay, but only if you have nothing else to do.

Yeah, ship Feist down from Canada (or whoever else respectable you have) and we'll package up the Black Eyed Peas and deliver them to you via first class! We'll even cover shipping & handling fees! :laugh3:

^ Keep fightin' the good fight! Did you at least diss their favorite bands?

Methinks Will would be great as The Penguin. Don't ask why.

Coldplay.com plays April Fools joke
So, for you physics and aerodynamics or whatever experts, if such a thing actually did happen, how would the recording be? Any different?

Coldplay to appear in new Sacha Baron Cohen film?
:laugh3: Honestly, I'm not a fan of Sacha Baron Cohen. But I might sneak in for the last five minutes for this. ;)

Coldplay.com plays April Fools joke
Pretty lighthearted joke. Not super funny, but no harm in it. Thing is, I can totally imagine Chris saying that. Your website has you pegged to a tee, Chris!

U2
Arrgh, I'm still pretty disappointed right now. It's not worth flying out to a show that has a Muse or Snow Patrol opener, but I've suddenly lost a bit of excitement. For a split second, I confused them with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and thought, "Hey, that ain't bad!" But then I realized it was the Black Eyed Peas. :( My excitement will no doubt recover, but I have a lot of green envy right now. :sneaky:

U2
L.A. doesn't get Snow Patrol or Elbow for Coldplay's concert, and now we don't get Snow Patrol or Muse for U2's concert? Throw us a bone here! :bigcry::bigcry::bigcry:

Help me to find a Coldplay song that everyone loves here ! =)
Actually, that was me that gave Warning Sign the thumbs down. But I said I'll approve of pretty much anything else most people love. Really, the only songs with 100% approval in this thread I can think of are Trouble, Amsterdam, See You Soon, and just a couple others. Anybody have disdain for Politik, Postcards, Green Eyes, AROBTTH, or Prospekt's March?

Party stores. Party City is a national chain and has a nice selection. I also don't think the glowsticks should be used the entire time. For instance, in Yellow, let's just have fun with the balls. Haha, we're taking this too seriously methinks. Like I said, we should meet up first to plan some things.

I used to dislike "A Message", but it's really grown on me. "Low" is decent, but I'd prefer if "Things I Don't Understand" made it on the album in its place. When talking about X&Y, I'm not too keen on "What If" or "X&Y".

Eh, doesn't really matter. I got some nice foot-long rainbow ones, but I may also wear a little chain that goes "red, blue, red, red" in order to sorta create the VIVA logo (I say 'sorta', since I don't think there's black glow sticks, so I'll use blue).

The Offical "The Killers" Thread
I've got a long list of bands I want to see in concert, and The Killers are fairly high up, so mark my words, I'll see them someday. ;) KROQ has started playing "This is Your Life" recently. Indfication of next single? They did start playing "Magnificent" by U2 a lot a few weeks before it was officially announced as a single. How common is a 7 in. vinyl for Human? I don't really collect vinyls, but I saw a few copies at Hot Topic today for only a few bucks. Anybody recommend that I go back and snag one of them?

Oh snap, I also have a fun Viva story from about two hours ago! I was at some Mexican place waiting for my take-out tacos when Viva la Vida came on their radio, and I started singing to it. The cashier brought me my take-out containers in a bag and I didn't even notice her at first because I was humming along! :laugh3: And that's totally not the first time that's happened!

Small Reminders/Updates & The Coldplay Messenger (feat. Roadie #42!)
Granted, Snow Patrol didn't achieve mainstream popularity until later. One of my favorite bands, although they have yet to produce an album that blows me away in every regard. Disappointed they won't be playing at my venue. :(

^ NotElbow & NotSnowPatrol In other words, Amadou & Mariam. There's some info about them in the Support Act thread. Also, as the sig indicates, The Glowstick Revolution will strike 7/18/09 at 9:00 PM PST or whenever Coldplay takes the stage. :D Tickets for anywhere on the floor are going for insane prices, by the way. My seats in E3 may be merely adequate, but they've become quite valuable apparently. :stunned:

North American Tour 2009 - Support Acts announced (New Acts added: 31-Mar)
Frick. Snow Patrol opening for both Coldplay and U2, and my location's not getting either of them. :( Heck, I'd also take Elbow over Miriam & Whoever. You June show folks have a blast, though. I really hope Snow Patrol does a regular tour over here.
