I am tired of waiting :(
You could always try freezing yourself until LP5, although you might end up dying in the process. So that's probably not a good idea. You could also try just waiting, although you might end up dying from anticipation and impatience there also. Hey! It's basically a lose/lose situation for you! :dozey:

The Snow Patrol Thread
On a related note to U2/SP, it looks like Snow Patrol is opening for a few more U2 dates this year - Istanbul, Moscow, and Athens: http://www.atu2.com/news/more-u2-360-opening-acts-revealed.html

Make me a Coldplay drink
This thread is a bloody goldmine of bad puns. I usually fancy myself some of "A Rush of Brandy to the Head", but that one's a house secret. Here's "Liquor in Japan": - Vodka - Cherry Coke - Teensy bit of Sierra Mist - Lots of Cream - Squeeze some lime into it - One of those mini-umbrella-toothpick things. (Very important.) (Note: Not recommended. I merely listed whatever came to mind. :P)

The official **KEANE** thread
Holy crap, it's a "Rocky" tribute. Hell, K'Naan even mentions Rocky in the song. And that's not a compliment. I did like "Clear Skies", but these two K'Naan songs are absolute drivel. Thankfully, that's the last of them. I actually hope they don't mess with "My Shadow" too much, because it's a pretty good song as it is. Like I said earlier, I'm glad this stuff is going on an EP instead of an LP. The bad stuff is a little more forgivable that way, while it's a good way to get some fan reception on what experimental material works and what doesn't.

Coldplay Nominated for "Kids Choice Awards 2010" for Fav Music Group( Voting OPEN )
Oh, big deal. Like I said, it's a kids awards show. If the BEP's won a Grammy, it would be less excusable. Wait...they did.

biggest band: Kings of Leon or Coldplay
KOL has been popular in the UK for some time, but only recently broke out in the U.S. with the release of Only By the Night. Coldplay, on the other hand, has been a worldwide phenomenon for some time. KOL is gaining ground at a very fast rate now, but Coldplay is still bigger for sure.

Metric
All right, here goes... We got their nice and early to secure a spot in the second row, so we were essentially breathing on the band, even though the barrier between the floor and the stage was unusually large to let all the press people through (you'll see their heads in my pictures). Anyway, the opening acts were Nico Vega and Codeine Velvet Club. While I didn't care for Nico Vega's music, I can only admit that they were entertaining in their act in how bloody over-the-top insane they were. I liked Codeine Velvet Club a bit better for their music, although they kept it pretty simple. Oh, but I know you only care about Metric, right? And so they came on and the crowd went bonkers. Oddly enough, the first several rows were pretty tame during the concert, but occasionally I would look back and see the entire middle section jumping for joy. The band played every song off Fantasies except for "Blindness", if I recall, plus their usual older hits. Best song of the night? I'm actually gonna give it to "Empty", which surprises even myself. It was extended into what felt like a 10-minute epic with plenty of sing-alongs from the crowd. "Monster Hospital" was notable for the fact that the floor suddenly turned into a huge mosh pit as everyone started moshing like crazy (I'm not a big mosher, but I went with the flow. "Mosher Hospital"? Nah, bad pun.) Emily didn't talk much during the night, but she's nothing short of entertaining on stage. Other highlights of the night included "Sick Muse" and "Dead Disco", the very frequent shouts of "I LOVE YOU EMILY", and the mass sing-along that was an acoustic "Combat Baby". Pics, you say? Ask and you shall receive! I must apologize sincerely for the lack of the other band members in my pics, however. The way I feel about Emily Haines is the way some girls on this forum feel about Coldplay members, except with less disgusting imagery and possibly more of a life. Also, consider these pics the cream of the crop, given that a lot of my pics were either blurry or of the head of the tall dude in front of me. Here's the pics at any rate (resized down to like 25%...seriously):

Metric
Just got back from the show at the Hollywood Palladium. I had a great time and so did my friend. I'll give a review and post a bunch of pictures tomorrow, but in the meantime, here's a teaser in the form of a demonic Emily during Monster Hospital:

Broken Social Scene
"All to All" is my favorite one so far, though all three are good. Having "World Sick" be the album opener is a gutsy move, methinks. It's so grand that it should suck people into the album, provided they aren't impatient about it. Then again, those impatient people probably shouldn't be listening to BSS in the first place.

Kasabian's Tom Meighan starting Coldplay band war...
Just because Liam Gallagher's a pinhead doesn't mean he's not talented. :P Still, even though this is the first I've heard from Kasabian that's bashing Coldplay, so many artists have beaten Tom to the punch that it's hardly of any significance.

What do you think...Muse and Radiohead
Welcome to the forums! :) From my observations, if you meet someone who hates Muse, there's a good chance they like Radiohead. On the flipside, if you meet someone who loves Muse, they probably like Radiohead too. Case in point? Everyone likes Radiohead. :P On the note of similarities, there is a huge laundry list of bands that are accused of being too similar to Radiohead, and that includes Coldplay. At any rate, we also have respective threads for each of those bands here where I'm sure you'll find one side or the other.

No More Coldplay Butterflies!!
Damn. On one hand, I have plenty of butterflies to serve as memories. On the other hand, I didn't really get them rained down on me, considering how the wind blew the butterflies toward the stage while they were still in the air. Then again, remember that this is just the Oracle's theory. The band could always change their minds. It also lies on whether or not the band decides to play Lovers in Japan next tour at all.

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Part of Muse's SXSW performance can be watched on their MySpace (who uses that anymore, anyway?): http://www.myspace.com/muse I, of course, was more excited at the "U.S. AUTUMN TOUR DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON" banner, which means Los Angeles will finally (hopefully, at least) get its turn. :D

Blah, Blah, Blah worst song ever!!!
I'm hearing all about this Ke$ha, but I don't think I've actually ever listened to the music. Does that mean my mind is still pure? :P That said, there's plenty of horrible music out there. Sure, they keep finding ways to make it worse and worse, but what are ya gonna do. :\

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Brenda - Wow, awesome! Love the pics and am very jealous of the drumstick! Glad you didn't sell it to that punk who asked. Jen - I'll watch the videos in a bit but I'm glad you had a great time too! This is why I not only admire people who take videos at concerts, but why I could never ever do it myself. I'm just too focused on jumping and singing.

MGMT
I know MGMT said this wouldn't be an album about singles, but still, "Flash Delirium" isn't a very good song at all. I may listen to the full album later, but consider my hopes dashed a bit.

Matt Bellamy and Chris Martin, an 'abusive' friendship?
You could be my pun intended, Choice to live my life extended... I just killed the thread, didn't I? :dozey: Chris and Matt are both entertaining guys, and it wouldn't surprise me if this "abusive" chatter still continues from time to time.

MTV News' Musical March Madness : vote.
I hope that by voting in this meaningless poll, my life will now open up to new opportunities. :) (And I also voted for Radiohead while I was at it.) Also, Nickelback is the other #1 seed besides Coldplay. Yuck.
