"Forced to Love" is a pretty good song, but is it me, or does the live performance sound way better? As for the album, I love it. The 4-track punch that is "Meet Me in the Basement" through "Romance to the Grave" just rocks my pants off. Rest of the album is also mostly good. I know it's not really related, but I like it much better than the new New Pornographers album which I'm also listening to (which isn't bad, but far from their best effort).

I haven't liked Bloc Party since Silent Alarm, but this is still outright terrible. I read that it was difficult for Kele to put down the guitar, and now I can see why.

As long as it doesn't mean the end of The Killers, I'm all for it. Brandon's been having a rough time lately, and I'm not sure if the decision to go solo has anything to do with that, but I'm looking forward to it. I like the little sample playing on the website, assuming that's indeed a tease of the album.

Well, it's great you get to see them again regardless! I know a lot of people are complaining that California gets so many dates, but if you think about it, most folks weren't willing to shell out $300 and 3 days of their busy schedule for Coachella, so we've had to wait this whole time for a proper show. Also, those glasses are amazing. :awesome:

Hollywood Bowl with Grizzly Bear supporting sounds bloody spectacular. Unfortunately, I just spent lots of money on Muse (who plays that same week), so I think I'll be holding off, sadly. :cry:

New album in spring 2011? Sounds about right: http://www.nme.com/news/death-cab-for-cutie/50807 Transatlanticism is a fan-favorite, although I still like Plans the best (though it's a more mainstream album). Definitely check out there other stuff. Even their earliest stuff is interesting.

I wasn't a member of this forum back when Viva leaked, but you can bet that I was excited as hell when I found out it did leak (and no worries, I did buy the actual album too :P). A leak can happen as much as a month in advance or as little as a few days beforehand. For example, I remember that the latest Phoenix album leaked over a month prior, but the latest Muse album took until like 2 days before release.

Hmm...come to think of it, it's probably been at least a couple weeks since I've listened to Coldplay (not counting when my professor repeatedly plays Fix You in the classroom). Probably the longest I've gone since Viva came out. I think I've needed a break from them anyway, so I won't be burnt out by the time LP5 info starts trickling. :)

"Velvet" is indeed a very good song. On the other hand, I think "Dominos" is incredibly irritating. A band worth watching nonetheless.

Awesome Awesome Awesome! :D I wish I could go to BOTH the Honda and Staples Center shows, but money is precious and the setlists probably won't be that different anyway. So I'll settle with one.

I love the latest one with Matt and the Mayan flute. :laugh3: I also saw that they had a pic from a recent video shoot. New single, perhaps? Some are even theorizing that it's a single for the next Twilight movie, but I sincerely hope that's not the case. :\

GA FLOOR TICKETS FOR HONDA CENTER ON 9/23 HELL YEAH BITCHES *ahem* Apologies, I mean "bitches" in the sincerest form possible. :P I tried for an hour refreshing Muse's Concertmaps site for Staples Center and had no luck. Finally, I tried for Honda Center instead and got two GA tickets on the first try. It's 45 minutes farther than Staples Center for me, and it's on a Thursday instead of a Saturday, but it'll be bloody worth it anyway. :D

My roommate got back from Coachella this morning and said he was on the front rail during Atoms for Peace's set last night. And he has the bloody pictures on his Facebook to prove it. Likewise, I'm currently conjuring up methods to torture him in the middle of the night. :sneaky: (That and I'm still kicking myself for missing them at Santa Barbara.)
