Hates Ok Computer
I'm just checking in. How in the world does this thread have 21 pages in 1 day?

Arcade Fire
Finally, some California shows announced :)

Pearl Jam
There is an authenticity to Pearl Jam, especially Eddie, that will make them timeless. The Pinkpop gig is a classic example of the mighty PJ, and Eddie's climbing/leaping stories are legendary.

Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam is not the easiest listen. A lot of their stuff is not loaded with big hooks or melodies, and it can take awhile to get used to Eddie's voice. However, it's worth the time, in my opinion. Amazing, amazing band.

Bruce Springsteen
It's funny, I've heard that bit of advice before. I will have to give them a try.
-
Bruce Springsteen
Oooooo...that's what I heard! I want to get that so bad. I've seen Springsteen 3X, and it's always a spiritual experience. I love him.

U2
^ It's good to see them back.

Songs You're Embarassed to Like
I feel the same way, but Bridge Over Troubled Water and Sweet Caroline are classics. There is no shame in that. Paul Simon and Neil Diamond are two of the greatest songwriters of all time.

A Weezer Thread
Damn, I wish I would have known about this earlier. It's not too fair away from my house. However, I don't feel like running down there last minute. Too bad - I'm a big Weezer fan.

The Thom Yorke Thread
^ that's a great setlist. I love when he mixes radiohead songs with his solo stuff.

The Smiths
Yeah, I can think of guitarists that I like as well, but no one that I like better. I like watching this video of Johnny playing a bit from "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" and talking about playing guitar: [ame= ] [/ame]

John Lennon
I find the idea of time capsules to be silly in this day and age. We do such a good job preserving stuff in museums that I don't understand the point of burying it. But whatever.

The Smiths
Johnny marr might be my favorite guitarist ever. Congrats on your plant, Johnny....I guess.
-
THE CORRS
I don't know much about their music, but Andrea Corr is hot.

Arcade Fire v Radiohead
Kind of. Radiohead fans can be condesending, elitist, know-it-alls; u2 fans can be like zombies with no musical tastes outside of u2.
-
Arcade Fire v Radiohead
Some fans (not all, of course) of two of my favorite bands, radiohead and u2, are just impossible for me to handle. Oddly, they annoy me in completely different ways.
-
Arcade Fire v Radiohead
Ouch, that one really hurt. Anyhow, I prefer Radiohead to Arcade Fire, but I really enjoy both.

Beatles Week...Sign Up Here! (November 7-13)
Of all the weeks, this is the one that interests me the most. So much history associated with each album. I would like to sign up, but I'm a bit on the lazy side.

Arcade Fire v Radiohead
Muse hatred is funny. I don't love them, but I think they are pretty good and amazing live. I certainly don't hate them.
-
The Beatles
I love Paul and John signing together. Sometimes, it's fun to state the obvious. [ame= ] [/ame]

Beatles Week...Sign Up Here! (November 7-13)
:laugh3: Yeah, I don't get it either, but I want to see the results. I was always content using Wikipedia.

U2
I think I'm going to be going through a U2 phase for a little while. I want Bono's laser jacket. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohsdiid7VAo]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohsdiid7VAo[/ame]

(Insert band name here week) Organizing thread
I remember when we used to talk about bands in their designated threads. Ah, the good ol' days.
