I understand this side, too (for obvious reasons). I wonder how bad it was? I've just never heard of such a thing. It would have needed to be bad to justify this type of behavior.

The Beatles Challenge
I can think of bands that I personally like better than the Beatles, but I can't think of a band that I could argue is better than the Beatles. IMO, they are the most influential band of all time.

RADIOHEAD WEEK NUMBER TWO.
Wait, wait...there's going to be another week dedicated to discussing all the Radiohead albums? Can't you just bump the old threads? I mean, I don't care...I just understand.

No shit! You don't say?!? All this time I thought I was.

SONGKICK - Site to organise your gigs/concerts/festivals
So I've started this task. Damn, it is hard to remember some of these shows. I've got to go back and find some of my old ticket stubs. I've been going to shows for over 15 years.

Kings of Leon
Perhaps, but they are not acting very classy. Remember to "Stay Classy KOL."

I know, I just don't want him to do further damage.

DID Presents: The Battle of the Album – The Decades - 1970s - The Results
:laugh3: I still want to see the overall list, but I would not call 12 lists a representative sample.

Fortunately for KOL, if the songs are there, they will be fine. Bands are notorious for acting irresponsible. In fact, it's almost implied when you mention the phrase "Rock Star." Nevertheless, I don't like it, and I'm sure the people of St. Louis will be none too welcoming the next time they come back. Plus, it puts more pressure for the songs to be there because they are not going to win fans based on their likeableness.

I wonder how the B-Man will do. In other words, I wonder if he will be fragile or will be his normal bouncy self.

SONGKICK - Site to organise your gigs/concerts/festivals
I will do this, but it is going to take forever. I will have to add a lot of shows because they don't pop up during a search.

^ Yeah, I do partially blame the venue. Originally, I didn't know that there was a problem in the overhangs above the stage. The venue should have controlled this. That said, I think you have to look at the greater evil. To me, it was still KOL leaving the stage and canceling the show. After all, the opening two bands endured it. To just bail without explanation seems entirely inappropriate.

They got big. I'm pretty sure that's the answer.

Arcade Fire
Are they done releasing tour dates? If so, they are not playing near me

Kings of Leon
Yeah, and I love how nathan acts like a refund will make people whole again. Hell, when I saw them, my ticket was maybe 30-40% of the overall cost. Plus, they just wasted about 10,000 people's Friday night. Hey, I stick up for them when it's warranted, but I hope they fry on this one unless there more to the story. However, at this point, there doesn't appear to be.

Radiohead
I have never really subscribed to this theory. These days, you don't need to be in constant contact with other members of the band. Aside from recording and playing a couple hours live every other night, they don't need to be in contact with each other. On the road, these guys stay in 5 star hotels and have people who do everything for them. They've got it hard coming up, but once they've made it, they become big babies. Is showing up 4 nights a week to jam with a few guys for a couple hours too much to ask?

And the funny thing is how Nathan blamed the venue, as if they could control skies above in an outdoor amphitheater  I am hoping that there is more to the story than is being presented at the moment. If not, I hope the concert promoter sticks it to them. After all, this is a contracted event :deal2: Maybe a few law suits will get them to change their ways.

Hottest Indie Shows of 2010
I'd like to see at least one of these acts make a move to the middle. Right now, I would say that Arcade Fire are the only Indie Band that could fill a sizable venue in America.

Radiohead
I've been listening to this cover of "The Headmaster Ritual" recently. Being a big fan of both Radiohead and The Smiths, I approve  I would like it if they'd do another album of straight forward rock music. That ship has probably sailed, though. [ame= ] [/ame]

Kings of Leon
They are going to take some heat over this one. They are building a reputation as being prima donnas, and this is not going to help.

^ I have the last three albums, and I like each one better than the previous.

The Pink Floyd Thread
Yeah, I had heard that this was going to happen. I think it's cool. As for a reunion, I hope it doesn't happen, but for very different reasons. I consider Gilmour/Waters to be genuine enough to call it Pink Floyd, especially if you include Nick Mason. However, these two guys don't get along, so I would hate to see a mess unfold before our very eyes. Otherwise, I would love to see them perform again.

Beady Eye
I think it's funny how this is being presented. In most of the news articles, they talk about this band being the members of Oasis without Noel. However, aside from Liam, there is not a band member in Beady Eyes that played on any of the Oasis albums I love. Edit: Beady Eyes is a dumb name. Liam must have thought of it.

The Offical Morrissey Thread
For those of you who like good music documentaries, I would recommend watching The Importance of Being Morrissey. He is an interesting cat. I don't like everything about him, but I find him fascinating. I am only linking to the first of seven parts. The rest are available on YouTube: [ame= ] [/ame]
