kinda normal I'm really happy to see that Chloe and Jonny are able to have something like a "normal" life, at least some times: evening stroll, marketing, cooking at home etc. Paps-free!

Random Coldplay thoughts...
What colour is this? In two fan videos from recent concerts (one was Toronto), Chris referes to the butterfly on lrlrlr's cover as YELLOW. To me, it's unambiguously GREEN. So : a) is Chris colour blind ?; b) am I ? ; c) by "yellow" does he mean something other than the colour, as in "I drew a line for you... and it was all YELLOW!"?; d) BOTH a and c above; OR e) something else - who knows what Chris is thinking anyway!?

Ziggy kills another thread! I don't do it on purpose, but it seems that often when I post a comment, it's the last one on the thread for some time. I don't think it's becasue I've said all there is to say on the matter at hand! Maybe I'll just stop. (Quiet with the cheering folks!). Unlikely though.

Canada, eh?!
proud Canadian I'm 4th generation Canadian (not that it matters how long my family has lived here). I do think Canada is special. I think it's the best country in the world to live, but I'm afraid we're losing our distinction due to successive governments that seem to think the US got it right and we should be more like them to compete economically. One only has to look at the decline of our public health care system to see the effects of those government policies. That said, it's also because of our economic policies that we didn't get hit as hard as many countries by this recession. I've lived in the USA for two stints - once in Chicago and once in Boston. In my opinion, there are two issues that most clearly illustrate why we're better: 1) gun culture; and 2) racism. Not that we don't have both in Canada, but they permeate US culture and, honestly, I don't see that changing. Cycles of recycled revenge! As for our arts and culture, I think we are great. I think we excel in music, dance, visual arts and film. But I think it's tragic that we lose so many of our best and brightest to the US. I think we all win because of our bi-lingual and multi-cultural policies. I'm not a sports fan. In fact (here come the rotten tomatoes) I think that hockey should be regulated so that violence is not the main attraction. For the life of me, I just don't get North American football, but I love soccer. Baseball is ok, but it's got too much Americn patriiotism attached to it and it's really pretty boring. Still. I guess we hold our own in sports on the international stage. My most favouite things about being Canadian are: 1) The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms; 2) The magnificence and scale of our geography; 3) Our "social safety net", even given its current state of neglect; 4) The CBC; and 5) Bacon and male syrup (together of course, eh!?).

Chris Martin's bracelets ?
options You'll get 18. Yes, they are the ones Chris wears (as on the cover of Rolling Stone - last Christmas, I think.) They are a "Fair Trade" endorsed product. Making trade fair is important to Coldplay.

Does anything annoy you about people and liking coldplay
2 Questions: Do you think the newer spammers are mostly younger than the pre-VIVA fans? and Can you describe in what ways the "old" Coldplaying.com was different?

CD Giveaway from within the 2009/10 shows - post your experiences
Toronto July 30 2009 At the Rogers Ctr. show in Toronto, people exiting were funnelled through sets of barriers to be given their CD by venue staff. Becasue it was so hot and humid that night, it made for a very uncomfortable, prolonged mass exit. At least one person passed out, causing congestion on either side of that line. The public areas between the stadium and the exits were not well ventilated and we were packed like sardiines. I know some people were quite claustrophobic and near panic, which was a little scary for a moment. The "handing out" involved a venue staffer holding a stack of CD's in one hand a a box of them in the other. One could have taken as many as they liked. In our party of 3, two of us each took one, and the 3rd person declined, preferring to download it to his MP3. LOVE the CD! It's like re-living the concert over and over!

Chris Martin's bracelets ?
men's in stock now Friday, Aug 14th - noon EST I just called MWLIB at the NYC number (212) 614-9412 and they have men's sizes in the African rubber bracelets in stock now (but not a lot of women's). The price has gone up, but I was wondering how long they would be able to carry on at the lower prices.
