  1. i did that with the songs already, shortest 8:15 i've ever experienced, i love it together.
  2. oh for the love of the dios people, they're fine. after what chris said at lollapalooza about R.E.M. breaking up? There was a huge outburst of this same topic around the VIVA era, either slightly before or just after it landed. Like seriously...they'll be here. If anything they'll take a break after the next album.
  3. gray one is fantastic! and i love the poster thing above you!
  4. I would be disappointed, long story short, sir. I'm honestly anticipating 21-23 songs. To make you happy, hell, take away two of them! UFO and either Shiver or Strawberry! And if you didn't know the last leg of the American, as well as British Tour (Comcast Center to be exact) had 22-24 songs. That was the perfect concert as it was just under 2 hours, as the standard is for most artists these days. My opinion is they stay like that, especially because they now have enough songs to make it a solid 2 hour show, that ISNT dragged out. The first gig (the 2nd leg of the viva tour) left us all feeling ripped off because it was so short, and I personally didn't feel what i felt at the end of EVERY other concert - those feelings would include completely satisfied for the $79.50/$98.50 i've spent on each ticket over various artists, most at the 98.50 mark, and it also included me feeling like it was the right time to go because all my energy successfully went into the show. Fingers crossed for us apparently non-realistic non-turtles :surprised: why don't you try putting all these songs together in a playlist on itunes or whatever, sub in the live ones when you can, and then tell me if you enjoyed it/if it flowed well/if you felt satisfied and realized that not only did time fly by, but it wasn't dragged out. Nothing is ever perfect, mind you. Or better - make your own thats 21-23 long. I'm sure you'll enjoy that.

played both the tracks at the same time. no differences. unless you count the .02 delay that i'm choosing to ignore.
  7. some tonal issues with my copy - it can tide me over til the release in a few days when i get my link for download...but in the meantime i edited MX so the xylophone bit comes in almost immediately, fading into it until the actual part where it comes in on the original piece..makes it a little better for me seeing that it's closer to the live version.. i also made it a bit louder. I'll take it, and i love the song regardless.

  9. like i said i'm a psych major.. attempting to do a Gen Ed Biology class current event. Looping PoC over and over as it's catchy to me. Not 100% perfect to my ears, but i know it will be live, as it will in the full context of the ALBUM that NEEDS to LEAK.
  10. I <3 vizslas! (the dogs in the pic) i have one of my very own.
  11. how in the hell did this thread grow to nearly 200 pages (like..up 100+ in a day?!) all this college work talk makes me wanna do my college work too! Damn!
  12. some people... haha, someone else do my prep work for the 3 exams in 2 day deal i've got coming so i can consistently update this page til the time comes?:book2:
  13. Free Live Album in the UK Times?! I wish this was available worldwide!! I would do anything for their live professionally recorded (free) music. Hope you all enjoy it. maybe share it. I wonder what will be on it... http://coldplay.com/newsdetail.php?id=789
  14. ...seriously? c'mon now, are you all out of your mind? Even giving up on the experience? Absolutely i'll see them live. all this hating the album and the band really pisses me off and it appears that those who are apprehensive to the state of complete turnoff have forgotten something. Hint: It's that we all have something in common. Behold! We all haven't heard the album yet. It's not out. Just crack open a beer and sit by a fireplace and reflect about something peaceful in your life, like when you were at that aqua-green beach with white sand rather than the (to me) obscenely ridiculous notion that reflects this apparent futility of coldplay. Shit could be so much worse, and you all know it. I paid 98.50 three times already and i haven't paid any more in the U.S., and don't expect to pay more this time. So what if i'm a cheap college student with little funding. Its the experience and the energy that will consistently remind me that i'm gonna miss something unbelievably moving and awesome if i don't, whether or not i think paradise is sub-par, or something resembling the scientist (which is what i think). With pride, a fan.
  15. I find my opinions to be mixed for this one. I think that it's a bold move on their part to produce a more mellow (work with me here) track as it's single. If you compare it to viva la vida, well, viva was unbelievably big and probably kept them in the top 10 for months on end (almost 3/4 of a year if i recall..) Paradise is unique in that there are many instances of boosted tonal quality that just raise you up, almost matching the cadences of the string section. It's also unique to my ear beyond the energy, in that some really odd chords and progressions are being played. I think it's great that they're making another track similar (in some ways, to me) to the scientist. I personally see some overlaps. The song is growing on me. I think some of the lyrics are weak, but i can see it fitting into mylo xyloto as a very nice "mild" track compared to the magnitude of HLH/CB, with element of a quiet and maybe stripped UATW/DLIBYH. Scale of 1-10 i'd give it a 6.5-7...though it's been playing on repeat in my head this entire post...and the entirety of my university work tonight.. And we go.. :smash: ps charlie brown or HLH would've probably bought them more airtime. we shall see. I think one of those is coming out as a single in due time.
  16. want/need/love it in all ways possible.
  17. i just want the studio version and to see it live when they come around. i'm personally annoyed at the fact that etiaw is on the album, apparently.
  18. seeing that chris martin is a funny guy, you know... what about if the title is "U.F.O" which is sarcastically very...very hard to spell?
