  1. Here's hoping, y'all................ would love to enjoy this.
  2. I love playing Clocks/Fix You/Amsterdam on the MP9500, and on guitar I love playing Violet Hill
  3. While I acknowledge it's the only thing missing.. this is literally the most fun digital piano i've ever played EVER for the coldplay sound quality, and action. I plug in my Sennheiser HD280 Pro's into the headphone jack, and it's just immersive. Granted, I found my MP9500 on eBay for dirt cheap plus an 8 hour roundtrip drive, and have absolutely ZERO regrets. Drop a few bills when you can so you have some solid monitors to enjoy....it'll blow your mind.
  4. Thanks to my fellow coldplayers and the makers of this thread. I just got my hands on the mp9500 after driving 450 miles round-trip on a day off. Oh my god. The sound is out. of. this. world. Damn. (Now to figure out midi and making this thing croon with the fix you organ.....)
  5. I do have 2 floor seats available in section C2, and it's less-than face value...
  6. Selling awesome floor seats: I have 2 Tickets in Section C2 for Gillette Stadium this Saturday. I'll sell both for $300.

I swear to god if they don't play it in Boston... the additions they've made to it texturally with the vocal triggers is incredible!! (READ: I don't want to burn my insta-song request on it - imagine acoustic death and all his friends, yo!) Regardless: I dont know about you all, but I see them playing Army of One in two different ways.. - The first way is exactly how they do it on the B-Stage, but with Chris on organ. I feel awkward watching him bounce on a confining B-Stage. - The second way is on the main stage with everyone on their respective instruments, with or without Chris on organ. Then, I envision a moment similar to the Live 2012 camera work/the superbowl cinematic kick-jump where he does a b-stage run on the "Because you reeeeiiiiiiign" bit and the camera does one of those epic flyover zooms. That'd capture one hell of a moment if you ask me.
  8. - Amsterdam - Up with the Birds Any song at a gig that is a fair 105 minutes or longer :D
  9. Well, they do have a great relationship with Apple.. But they're also very much like Apple. If they (or something relevant to it's production) aren't ready yet, they won't do anything until it's the proper time.
  10. I think the album is good. It's not great, nor is it bad! I see the downfall in the key - there's too many songs in the same format of sonic range. The storyline of the album is haunting and very vivid at times - to Marcus' credit, they can hit me in the feels. Rather than toss in a reaction, I can tell you I'm excited for their next album. This move was 100% necessary for them - going from folk to something else. However, the fusion of the two will really let them shine in that rock format, as well as their fine signature folk. Plus, if you bend the pitch up in Ditmas, it sounds like "I Will Wait" Part 2, down the line...when things go south.
  11. Death and All His Friends/Escapist Up With the Birds O Amsterdam Everything's Not Lost/Life is For Living Twisted Logic
  12. What I want, is a slightly longer set. 100-105 minutes. That'll make more people happy across many spans. Something like the same length of the second half of the 2008/2009 viva tour...yes. that.

Does the top band in the world need more money? I hope they have at this again. It'd be a thrill.
  14. Just throwing it out there... The tourbook/digital notes that came with MX/It's tour have "Myloxylotwo" written in several places. That'd be an interesting "end" to "a story", as it has been hinted towards. I wonder...
  15. BEHOLD!!! The dawn of a new era!! Mutineers, the brand new (and likely to be a high point in his career thus far) album will drop in a week! Pandora has released a stream of the new album in full! It's fantastic. It's experimental. It's a whole new atmosphere. Enjoy it folks - and of course, if any fellow grayhead can "capture" it, i'd be happy to converse with you via PM. http://www.pandora.com/station/play/2093329695095622533

  17. I think there are some really great songs on the album. However, I'm not into the album as a whole. It's cohesive, but there's very low sense energy throughout the tracks, though I can understand why, given Chris's life at the moment...It gives context, for sure, though. Then the electronic components are simple, thus giving very little energy, and listening to the whole thing is a very fast 40 minutes...but not as stimulating as I would have liked. So, by the time ASFOS came around, all of its electricity was rather pointless to me. It got me momentarily hyped up for O, which doesn't need the hype (Though I freakin LOVE O). I would be looking for a song with the components of Up With the Birds to precede O.
  18. I remember seeing "Myloxylotwo" in the tour booklet...since this is being brought up. I'll have to double check and see where that was.

I love this song. It'd be a perfect 10 if there was just one more subtle texture added to the shape of the song - but it can't put my finger on it right now. But amen to the lyrical analysis.....and i'm very happy to say it's my favorite track of the album.
  20. I was excited... But not so much anymore. There are some really great songs on ghost stories, and i'd love to see them do it live. It's a cohesive album, but I have yet to get completely into it because the energy factor doesn't take shape, and it doesn't seem natural to my ear. I got a completely different experience from VLV & MX, and consistently listened to every song for a long, long time. This just isn't my time in the sun as a Coldplayer, and that's perfectly fine. I consider this the second coming of X&Y for my personal taste. I never really hit it off with X&Y as a whole album. Individually, there are again some great songs on it (See my overlap?) but I just didn't think it was a good listening experience from start to finish. Though songs are catchy on both X&Y and GS, they haven't seen much play time on my itunes. Oh well!
  21. When I look at them on the whole, based on my idea of what a cohesive, full listening experience is: (1st) Viva / MX (2nd) Ghost Stories / AROBTTH (3rd) X&Y / Parachutes When it comes to the songs, based off of how many tracks that I really, really love, by percentage of tracks-per-album (excluding songs under 1min, and this could change after I listen more to Ghost Stories): (1st) ::: 100% Viva (2nd) ::: >70% MX, AROBTTH, X&Y (3rd) ::: <70% Ghost Stories Deluxe, Parachutes (All were above 50%)
  22. I agree! I think it was a very strong album. The album was very cohesive, and the concept was cool! I think the lyrics and overall sonic timeline and textures were done very well! It was also the most fun concert they've ever produced (and i've ever been to!) Then, looking back at my life as MX came out, I found myself heavily relating, and growing while listening! My thought is that music is supposed to change, it's an ever-evolving being...and sometimes it'll take a while for people to appreciate. I'm a huge coldplay fan; I was with them ever since they started, and I'm proud of my large collection of their music, demos, concerts..etc.... so from my years of listening, I have always found a way to appreciate their albums. But naturally, some songs don't resonate with me - and some albums don't provide me a certain gratification as others have! To me, this is beyond okay! Normal, even! Coldplay didn't make music to just satisfy "The Fox". But since you bring it up...allow me to relate. I personally don't understand why people come up with the reason to hate and shortly say, "I'm embarrassed to be a Coldplay Fan because of ____". MX brought a lot of that. And it still comes up. And it bothers me, still. Saying something like that (IMO) is not even worth the debate - and I LOVE debating about musical opinions. I battle with someone on another music board all of the time! It's healthy, and you learn something new at the end of the day, and maybe have a new artist to look into! Hell, I even accept "I just don't like it..." as an argument, because that can bring good conversation. Even I do that! I don't get embarrassed because a song by a band isn't to my taste, I just brush it off. I thought Major Minus wasn't great at all, so I didn't listen to it. I didn't like it. BUT! Months later, somehow, I was playing drums to it. And "howyousawtheworld" I really appreciate your post! If you call yourself a fan of art (IMO), you look at the new experience with your own blank canvas. Have all the opinions you want - that's your right, and that's what makes art interesting... If you call yourself a dedicated fan of art (of course, IMO), you encompass the above, but then also learn about why people are reacting the way they are, to gain an even better worldview. Revisiting something you didn't appreciate before should be a pleasure, rather than a burden. I really appreciated MX. I know other people did as well - maybe even more than me! Then, I'm glad people didn't appreciate it as much...because everyone is different, and we learn when there are differences. But it puts a bitter taste in my mouth to read about curt embarrassment. There are other things to be embarrassed about in this day and age.

1.) If for whatever reason this is kept, it must be limited to the outer margins of the display. It must shrink, and move more efficiently in speed. I'm currenly looking at a blue bird in the middle of my blurb. 2.) The bird isn't to my liking. Sorry.
  24. I'm super pissed. Coldplay deserves better. NBC must think we're f-ing idiots... not only is their summary inaccurate, but WHY are there so many commercials. Corporate Sellouts. Let's change the world (after subway, donuts, and apple products).
