Maybe this UFO-theme fits into the whole topic of LP5 because its a kind of similarity. Chris Martin told some newspapers that there is a secret story about a young couple, who are outsiders. And so, in a way they are also Aliens because they don't belong to the society. This is what I think, maybe I'm wrong. Then, I have another crazy idea. Maybe this whole UFO-stuff just means that everything which can't be explained or isn't ordinary or habitual is feared by the media. So look at some UFO events...sometimes there are just some crazy blinking lights, which aren't standard, so they call this phenomenom a UFO but the lights are just extraordinary. Related to our society it means, that if you are individual and don't do the things others wanted you to do, you aren't a habitant of earth. Its social criticism and fits into Chris Martins words that he is impressed of the White Rose Movement because he did many things which he didn't want to do. Just my theories... :D

+++ News +++ I wrote a letter to zdf.kultur and they seem to broadcast Glasto only between 7-11 PM BST. This means only 45 minutes of Coldplay.

For me this sounds like: Major Minus isn't a B-Side, but it is unclear if this song is going to be on the next album. But why they should release it if it won't be on LP5? So, my guess is: The oracle don't knows the final tracklist, but she knows that MM won't be a B-Side. Apart from that, the four guys know, that MM will be on LP5 and so they release it as a Double A-Side.

Yeah, same here! Its going to be a huge number besides Charlie Brown and perhaps Hurts Like Heaven.

No problem, but really, I don't think they will change the setlist so much. 'Cause they called the previous festivals a kind of preperation.

I have to admit that zdf.kultur will shown Glasto between 8-12 pm GERMAN TIME. I guess that means 7-11 PM BST?! When will be Coldplay on stage?

@ColdplayingfromKansas There work so many talented people (Brian Eno, Markus Draws, Rik Simpson, Coldplay) that I can't believe something like that! Not a whole album! Maybe 1-2 tracks, that would be normal, but I can't share your fears. ;)

Sorry, but the Lyrics of MM, CB, HLH and UATW are as good as the lyrics of Parachutes/AROBTTH, maybe better. What I love is that the lyrics follow a secret plot behind the songs. Exciting to see the development of the subject with regard to the lyrics.

You are so right!

I think the quality of songs is a very personal opinion when its not based on objectiv things like variety, variety in instruments and character of the songs, composition, building and so on. And in my opinion with regard to these criteria VLVODAAHF is musically (!) the best album of Coldplay. But that don't have to be your favorite, because musical quality don't mean that you like it. Really, I enjoy VLVODAAHF soooo much, really! But if I have to choose 2 of the 4 albums I would take AROBTTH and Parachutes on a lonely isle, nevertheless I think that VLVODAAHF is the best album of Coldplay. ;) Only my way of thinking. :) EDIT: Really I think VLVODAAHF is musically perfection, they way it starts and ends... (Jon Hopkins theme) and so on....just perfect for me. But nobody has to love musical perfection. :D
