Sensing a fair deal of scepticism on CPing today, let's talk about why we're looking forward to GS instead. Here are my reasons: - It seems more chill, more intimate. That's a sound that suites CM's voice. I think Oceans really proves that less is more. - The artwork. It looks amazing! I loved the idea behind MX's art but I think this just looks more neat, and goes so well with the theme. - It's obviously a very personal album for Chris Martin, and to me that just means the songwriting is better. My opinion of course.

Would have been even better if he reminded everyone not to record throughout the song by adding a few modified lyrics. 'Ohh go on and tear me apart! Please audience do not record this part!' Would sound great in that falsetto.

Cant believe nothing leaked! Mannnn I can't wait any longer! So confused by people's comments on the song too- DLIBYH, Viva, Charlie Brown? Also it seems no one has been dissapointed by it yet.

MX used to be my fav, but the weird thing is that GS is making me like MX less haha. The direction they've chosen is smart I think, it's like an implosion. Viva turned out to be brilliant live, MX was almost engineered to be good live and a third overblown, over-hyped album might not have kept the world's interest. Hearing Oceans made me so incredibly happy because its not the sort of song that's designed to make as many people as possible happy, it's pretty much the same thing that got them famous all those years ago when Parachutes was released. Not saying I 'missed the old Coldplay' cause that phrase irritates the hell out of me. But it's great to hear a Spies-esque song from them again. I actually wonder if Oceans could make it on the radio! Who knows. This album will, like Viva and MX get them even more fans. And hopefully some grammys too. My order: 1)Viva/ GS 2)X&Y 3)MX 4)AROBTTH 5)Parachutes

Twice, because I don't live in Europe/ America. I happened to be in South Africa when they were touring there for the first time ever, and shot the Paradise music vid. Second time in Auckland, I managed to convince 18 of my friends to come along! We all spray painted our shirts and were right at the front, it was crazy good!!!

You make such excellent points. Hard to disagree with you.

Coldplay themselves said the biggest problem with X&Y was it was too long. Also even though it'll be 9 songs it will still be the same length as MX, around the 45 min mark. These are songs, not blocks of cheese. There's no reason to feel ripped off for getting less. EDIT: No offense of course haha. Just MY opinion.

Blehhh times like this I wish I lived in the Northern Hemisphere... Meanwhile down under we'll be waiting more than a year before we see Coldplay. At least we'll know all the lyrics by then haha
