What Coldplay should have done in their entire career so far
It doesn't need to have to do with anything like that, I'm sure there are other countries Coldplay's never been, there are a hell of a lot of countries in the world so to visit all of them is difficult, and some countries are probably easier to visit than others.

LP5 Is Currently 85 Minutes Long (Interview with Will and Chris after Glastonbury)
In Coldplay, as far as I know, nothing gets through if one of the 4 (and maybe Phil?) isn't happy with it. So it's not Eno's rule nor Chris' it's something the whole band agreed on that it was a good idea and Eno might've suggested it but they are all their own people and very capable of knowing what they want so Eno's influence is never something they don't agree on. And as far as those rules go I think they are methods to make them creative, as limiting your options often sparks more creativity than giving you too much freedom, and to make sure the album isn't to long, but they won't stick to it like they're God's rules, so if they feel strongly that the album is better if it's 5 minutes longer, then that will happen. All they try to do is make the best album ever for them, and chances are that that means the album will be under 50 minutes. I know they try really hard so I'm not really worried about the next album, I'm quite sure I'll like it. And I also like ETIAW, and I don't think they thought oh it's just a summer festival thing so lets make crap lyrics. I think they actually really like the song and are proud of it. And so do other people. Coldplay just doesn't sound like the band that would release something they don't LOVE. I mean if you see all the songs they make that they don't release and that are great, it's highly unlikely that they'd do that.

ETIAW Video out now!!
I LOVED the video! I seriously did. I loved the grafitti stuff, and the stopmotion thing was fancy and the glow-in-the-dark-stuff blew me away. And it did remind me of a few viva era vids, but I don't mind that, I love the style of all those videos and they're very Coldplay to me. And I guess what makes them similar is that they had a viva-revolutionary feel to it with the viva-outfits. And this also has a kind of theme and graffiti-thing with outfits. I really like that they pay attention to the whole band and not only Chris. :)

Well Will is also drumming, so I was confused about what sounds are made by Guy and what sounds are made by Will

CK
This, he's talking rubbish, just trolling. Also he said the album would be 67 min or something. Will said this album would be short and strong (different words but that's what it comes down to) and that's also very coldplay so, there's one more for you.

LP5 Is Currently 85 Minutes Long (Interview with Will and Chris after Glastonbury)
Does anybody seriously believe anything this guy/girl says? Major Minus is not a single, it's already on the ETIAW ep NO WAY they're doing anything with Spanish Rain, that song is from the south-america tour and that's what it was for and it's probably been dropped ages ago. Defenitely don't believe 67 minutes, Will has said : "We don’t want it to be too long so the plan is 'concise and powerful'." Which is also VERY Coldplay and they regretted X&Y for being too long. A 7-8 minutes song doesn't sound Coldplay at all either, just don't buy it. No way they'll release Wedding Bells anytime, because it has to much to do with Christmas Lights. So if this guy is right about anything, it'll be a lucky guess.

Why was Glastonbury epic this year?
I bet that as soon as Chris is out they secretly listen to his music

Was this Coldplay's best ever Glastonbury?
I think it was more because of the nerves than because of the song that the first song didn't go that well. And I think it showed so well how important they find Glastonbury that I felt it added to the amazingness especially because they recovered and got bloody brilliant after that.

Coldplay Dreams
I had the most awesome dream tonight :wacky: I dreamt I was watching a live coldplay concert at home, just like with Glasto, and then it turned out to be very close to my home and I could walk there. When I got there it was an open thing and you could just walk in the crowd, and the band had pretty much finished and the crowd was first a lot but the closer I got to the stage the more the crowd dissapeared, and suddenly Chris was there like right in front of me, in the crowd. And he was really tired and sweaty and happy (kind of like after Glasto) and he asked me how it was and I said I watched the first part at home and it was magnificant, and he stood like really close and suddenly we hugged for like, a bit too long  And after that he just looked at me for a few seconds and we said some things I can't really remember what. And he sort of introduced me to others and I woke up :( Haha, I adored that dream, if only it were real :P

I do like progressive rock, but it does take to long so I can't just put it on, so that's a shame about prog rock in my opinion :) I prefer songs short and strong rather than that you start thinking 'when's the next song comming on?'

LP5 Is Currently 85 Minutes Long (Interview with Will and Chris after Glastonbury)
I don't really know any of those songs to be honest, so I can't really judge them but I really wouldn't listen often to a 23 minutes long song, even if it's good, it just takes to much time to just put it on for a bit. Anyway I don't think Coldplay songs work quite that way anyways.

They are gonna chop it down, logically, from coldplay-fan point of view a hour-long album might sound great, but it doesn't work at all, and I personally think albums are best when they are short and strong, it just works better. Just as a 12-minute song doesn't work as good as a 4-minute song.

[25-June-2011] Coldplay @ Glastonbury festival, Worthy Farm, Pilton, UK
I loved the show so much! I loved that they played Shiver and Everything's not Lost! Very nice touch to play those songs again on Glasto after not having played them for so long, and especially Shiver's been requested so much, and I don't know how long ago it was that they played it in full, with drums etc. So that was great! And I thought this was one of the best performances of Fix You I've seen, Chris just really hit the notes so well! Wow, that was awesome. And the light-show was crazy (and HLH is really so much better when it's dark, because I loved the lasers and fireworks, and at Pinkpop it was light at the start so that took away a lot of the magic unfortunately). And I'm happy they didn't play Trouble, just because it feels more special now that they played it on Pinkpop

Don't jump on conclusions, they're just saying they'll finish the album

Pretty much what I'm trying to say for weeks now xD Thanks for putting that in words:P

Major Minus: LISTENING PARTY! Countdown to Thursday 23rd June, 9pm (BST)
I like it, and I like that they don't listen to fans. 'do this and don't do that and I hate you for doing this and you have to make a new parachutes.' They should just make music and make what they want to make and don't limit themselves by what fans think because music can never be good if the artist doesn't believe in it themselves. So I love that they're not afraid to experiment even though a lot of people might not be happy about it. And I really like the song :)

The Positive ETIAW Thread
2GreenEyes replied to Technicolor Sparks's topic in Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall (Single, EP & video)I don't know if you've ever played guitar standing, but it's hard to find the right hight to still be able to play the chords properly, especially barree chords. Although Chris does have a lot larger hands than I have so I suppose it doesn't matter as much for him:P But the reason is probably that it plays comfortably. David  Love that whole episode

The chance no new songs/only ETIAW will be on new album?
We don't ALL think it's a pity...

Great review! Although the confetti was X and M shaped, not butterfly shaped. ;) Didn't even know there was a Dutch Coldplay site! That's awesome :)

Coldplay interviews - with or without Chris Martin?
I love Chris' randomness, and his wit, I don't care that much about information, because I'm sure we'll get the information when we need it :nice:
