"The album was clearly made to please the more mainstream audience" I'm so annoyed with people saying this. As if they sat down and said 'look, let's just make something mainstream so a lot of people will love us, I don't care if we hate our own music'. They evolve, it's a good thing. If they had 4 albums without changing direction, a lot of people would feel like it's time to change something. It's better to evolve when people will miss your music, AROBTTH is partly a brilliant album because it's unique and they didn't make a second AROBTTH. This way they have 4 unique albums and they still love making and playing music. And you might not like them changing, but don't say they changed just to get populair or have a mainstream audience.

I loved it! you did an amazing job again! You're both great as hosts. I like how there's new hosts every time though, because it's fun to see all these different coldplayers^^ if you ever need someone to host, I wouldn't mind trying an episode (:

I think the song is more just generally a kind of protest-y song. Not very specific to people being in a protest movement, but just everyone. I feel it's more a bit of a protest song to people being judgemental, and that the government is always watching what you do and whether you are obeying the law and doing what you're told. I think Chris wrote it thinking about the street art/graffiti thing, but I think he didn't necessarily wrote it about that, otherwise he'd probably be more specific and singing about spray cans and such:P Also I think Chris feels his songs mean whatever it means to you:P So yeah, I think it's about the general idea of constantly being watched whether you're doing the right thing and in that protecting your loved one.

It's always difficult if there are other bands you really want to see, luckily for me the other bands that play on the other stages are not nescesairily bands I really want to see, just because I don't know them that well or it's not really my thing. Happy about that (: I'll probably go early aswell, otherwise I'll be waiting at home, so I'd rather wait there:P

Just decided I am going for the Coldplay day! First I thought I wouldn't be able to make it, but I can now, and they play new songs! And it will be amazing! And I don't mind going on my own for that^^ Will defenitely be at the main stage all day. How early are others going there? God I'm excited

Seriously, there's just no need in insulting the people that worked hard to make this song Have you any idea how much it hurts to read someone claiming you suck at what you do and calling you an idiot, just by listening to a piece of music you made and put your heart and faith in and you took a risk with by not doing what people expected.

Can people stop saying Coldplay HAVE to stick more to their Parachutes AROBTTH type of music.. and then blaming Eno for changing them. They don't HAVE to anything, the only thing they have to do is make music they are proud of and love, and not make the exact music people expect from them just because people expect it. And Eno did not barge in Coldplay and start changing them, Coldplay wanted to evolve and wanted to work with Eno on that. Coldplay is Coldplay and no one but them can tell them what they are. You are entitled to your opinions, you are allowed to miss the 'old' coldplay, you are allowed to hate this song. But I find it kind of mean to hate the persons who just worked really hard on something they love and believe in, just because you don't like it and can't get over them not being in the Parachutes/AROBTTH era anymore. They will never just go back there, they won't decide 'let's make a Parachutes 2' and that is something you'll probably just have to except, that that is over, and I miss it too, but you know. I'm happy I miss it, imagine them making a Parachutes so often that you don't miss it anymore, isn't missing parachutes etc. Something that makes those albums so great. It's just, I can imagine how it must feel, to have made this song, and read this forum, and not just get 'I don't really like it' messages, which isn't fun to hear, but it's ok. But people also saying it is a bad song and you're trying to be populair and it's easy and lazy and Eno sucks and I don't know what else people said. That just hurts, if you've just tried your best, you've taken a risk and then you get people just insulting you for not being what they expected/wanted... Sorry for the long rant, just had to lose that

If I'm correct, they have seats in the US so there's no reason for queueing (is that a word?..), waiting for hours and running won't get you closer to the stage. I prefer the waiting honestly :D
