I downloaded the audio and tried reversing it with audacity, but it sounds pretty much exactly the same. It shows it as a two-track stereo recording, and I split it from stereo to mono, and tried muting one and then the other, both normal and in reverse, but essentially they sound more or less exactly the same, so I don't think that's one of the routes to go down..

I'm not having a go at Green Day, but I definitely wouldn't want Coldplay going anywhere near their style of music, for obvious reasons. Also besides that, talking more generally I believe concept albums sound very interesting and intriguing in principle, but when put into practice don't work as the creators had planned. 21st Century Breakdown was slated as a concept album about two unhappy people in the 21st century by Green Day, but when listening to the album, all it sounds like to me is generic Green Day songs with these two people's names thrown in every now and then, and to me this detracts from the overall experience. This worries me as Coldplay have declared that the new album will be a concept album, based in modern New York, inspired by graffiti artists, and promoting civil freedom (White Rose Movement + Anti-Nazism) which to me strikes as exactly what 21st Century Breakdown was meant to be.

The more I read about it the more it sounds like Green Day's latest album, 21st Century Breakdown and I really dread to think of the band following suit with their sort of style... but then again Coldplay are amazing at what they do so despite my concerns I'm sure whatever they pull off will be amazing.

Everytime I'll listen to this song I'll remember listening to it for the first time walking under the snow by a frozen lake at Uni... such a perfect memory to have :)

I am so happy to say that after I downloaded this on my ipod, my memory of listening to it for the first time will have been me walking beside the frozen lake here at Uni of York with the snow slowly falling down on me.. It was as poetic feeling and looking as it sounds!

I'm pretty certain though that they haven't set in stone the songs they want to use. I think that the articles/videos linked though contain clues as to something the band want us to find out, like a treasure hunt of sorts, with their title being the clue. For example, "The net's definitive place for boring jobs..." leads to Boring.com, and I had a browse in the careers section in reference to the "boring jobs", but that's as far as I've got :dozey:

I had to go and do my driving theory this morning, and when I came out of London Bridge station on my way there I turned right, and walked on. I then turned right at the second turning by mistake instead of the third as I was meant to, and there I was in the tunnel in Fix You!!! It really made my morning! Coincidence huh? :D

For the google background, rather than the image stretching to fill up the google screen, it stays at it's original size and then starts to repeat itself towards the right. How do I make it stretch?

To give you all a heads up, the River Island winter range includes a veeeery similar coat to chris's. I'm getting it tomoz.
