This letter just shows again that he's so not over you. and I was just thinking that writing 'I am always by your side' means something completely different than 'I am always on your side'. The first one = creepy as hell. (ow, I kinda am curious what the rest of the letter said, hahaha)

I don't know if these were the exact formulations when they asked them to Chris, but that's what they said in the snippet that they asked him. Of course they might have altered the formulation. It might also look worse if it's not embedded in the whole interview, because as they said it was an easy going interview (though they just might have experienced it like that and Chris might not). I agree with Blue Nails that this whole issue is fascinating anyway :P

But don't you know that criticism can be positive/negative or even balanced? Criticism is just someone giving a value judgement. I think you confuse this with the one kind of criticism that is destructive/negative. The problem with criticism is, however, that if there were only positive criticisms, you would miss out on a lot, because a good criticism should be funded/argued/motivated. Balanced or negative criticism that is a good criticism can help for example bands to understand how their fanbase feels about their CD. A praise for a certain song might also mean more if you can compare it to a song that you think is shit, when using good argumentation. But let’s not forget that most of it is still subjective. A song can be shit, because the melody is repeated all over the song without any variation (this part is a fact) and you find this boring and showing a lack of creativity that you would expect from the band (this part is subjective). Basically without critics you wouldn’t know how other people think/feel about the matter. But I do agree with you that most of the reviews seem to have a lot of negative criticism in it. Maybe it is some kind of fashion to see only all what’s bad in CD’s of well-known bands? Or maybe the MX CD just isn’t liked so much? I’d advise you – when reading one of these negative criticisms again - to keep in mind what you said already yourself :)

So the guy says in the beginning of the snippet that he felt that he couldn't even mention Chris' family and therefore Chris hung up on him and that that's why he couldn't get any information out of Chirs that was worth the interview. As he says:"it's gotta have some substance to it. We didn't get that with Coldplay." Soooo, how bad of an interviewers are these peoples if he/she really thinks that an interview about Coldplay can only have substance if Chris' personal life/family is included? I can think of many interesting questions without having to go there. MYLO XYLOTO just came out, ffs. Then they go claiming that the questions asked were in no way offensive or personal. Some of the questions asked turned out to be: "So with Gwyneth you won the lottery: Tell me what the looser period of you before that looked like." "Are you guys going to do a duet together?" "What is it in the household like? Do you two make some music, do you two have some sort of competition going on?" "Gwyneth Paltrow tweeted that this next album is a master piece. She has to say that, right?" How are these questions not personal? Already mentioning Gwyneth is personal and they also mentioned the household, their relationship, and how Chris was a looser before being with her. I can image that if these question were asked all oner after another it made him feel very uncomfortable and he atm couldn't think of any other thing to do than to hang up. :nod: Also, he asked them not to air the interview. Them then babling about the whole thing for 12 minutes long and saying they will air the interview anyway (because they feel there was nothing wrong with it) is just disrespectful.

Als je naar zijn profiel gaat en linksboven op 'send message' klikt, dan heb je naast PM ook de optie om 'send a message via e-mail' te kiezen. Als je deze gebruikt dan wordt het bericht direct naar zijn mailbox gestuurd met jouw mail-adres (heb je ook gelijk zijn e-mailadres als het goed is). Ik hoop echt dat hij wat van zich laat horen. Het duurt al zo lang en als hij zich niet kan haasten omdat hij examens heeft ofzo, dan zou het fijn zijn dit te horen van hem en ook denk ik dat hij dit dan al van te voren had kunnen aangeven. Zo zonder excuus voor vertraging of wetend hoelang het duurt, is het geen lolletje voor de rest van de lijst. Waarom deed ik dit allemaal in het Nederlands? :wtf:

Roaming this music thread can help you a lot too. Look here at what people's favorite artists are, the threads mostly start with a youtube video's of their songs or you find them later in the thread. If youtubing a song doesn't work, you can always try myspace or last.fm, they stream songs of artists too (although I think all of those can be found on youtube anyway :S) Most of my favorites I found through music forums, at least the underground stuff that radio doesn't want to play.

Why would you make another one? Also, what is the use of this thread? What's the source of your version of the lyrics?

I don't get what you mean by this. In what manner are you slow when you read in the booklet that in de CD a sample of Takk is used? How were you supposed to know this before if you hadn't heard the songs yet and hadn't read the booklet yet? Just by knowing/understanding what directing Coldplay is going to? Please tell me that you mean something else by this and that I just understood you wrong or that you posted in the wrong thread. And otherwise tell me how knowing the band's direction would automatically lead to realising that Coldplay must have used a sample of Takk in Princess of China.

Meh! It doesn't say Princess of China IS a sample of Takk. It just says "features a sample from Takk" and this is the thing you hear when Mylo Xuloto transits into Princess of China.

It's not meant literally. She just means that she would have felt like a princess if they would still be together and he could have become like a king.
