After the snow we had this weekend, today it is 13°C. :| I'm glad that organizers postponed the Softball on Ice tournament that was scheduled this coming weekend; the ice probably isn't stable enough for hundreds of people to be out there playing.

Yes, but I was actually the one who deleted it and banned him. It was too suspicious for my taste, I didn't want to risk it. I also did the same with the CP_forever guy, he was selling 4 tickets to each of 4 shows. Both were brand new members, only posting to sell tickets. I removed all their posts and removed the names from the first post. By their usernames, you can see a pattern of them trying to act like huge fans. Obviously we can't guarantee or be responsible for anything, but I'll do what I can to weed out the ones that are way too suspicious. And this is a reminder to everyone to consider carefully before buying from brand new members that join only to post offers to sell tickets.

The There There vinyl that I got on ebay arrived yesterday. Everything was in perfect condition as described. I think the guy could get a lot more money if he described it better or included pictures of the back; the description on the back cover of the sleeve indicates it is a promotional item and is not for sale, "for the upcoming release Hail to the Thief". Not sure if it went to radio stations or if it was something handed out directly from EMI, but I'm guessing that means there aren't a whole bunch readily available anymore. Plus the Amnesiac was a promotional item too, the back part where you peel it off is basically an advertisement "Radiohead Amnesiac in stores now". Yeah but I have to figure out what my PBS station is first (you have to fill that out). I'd like to enter the lottery too, whenever they announce that. Based on the timing of the other ticket giveaways, they announce it like a week before the event, which sucks.

They finally announced a Detroit date... August 1. Doubt they'll add another show like they've been doing with other cities though, since they have shows in other States on July 30 and August 3 (not enough time for them to travel if they do two consecutive Detroit shows).

How does he know it was one of the helpers, as opposed to some unscrupulous person working at the venue? That's a pretty big assumption to make. I would think the type of person that doesn't really care about the sentimental value of it would be more apt to sell them on ebay (which is why I'd point to a venue worker as opposed to a fan who got in queue at the buttcrack of dawn). Didn't they also "give away" any bands that were defective during the sorting process? Not sure there would be 34 of them though... which is why my gut reaction is leaning more toward an unscrupulous venue employee. I mean, I recall there were reports of venue workers snatching up the LRLRL CDs when they were given out during the Viva tour, so what is to say a venue employee wouldn't also do that here? And really... where would the helpers put all those wristbands while they are in the front row of the concert? All those wristbands aren't going to fit in a person's pockets, I doubt they brought a backpack with them, etc. I'm not on twitter, so feel free to reply to his twitter post with a link to my post here. I realize that he is very passionate about his work and takes this personally, which is why he could have jumped to the wrong conclusion without taking a step back to think about it.
