Moving To Mars: LISTENING PARTY! Countdown to Friday 24th June, 11.45am (BST)
I was NOT expecting a song like this, but as soon as it started I was all goosebumps, it's so beautiful. This is Coldplay, it couldn't be better. I love Major Minus, but this song is just from another planet (probably Mars). And ooh, Chris' voice... I melted :stunned:

Major Minus: Studio v Live?
I think the entire studio sound of the song supports the warning/watching/media? theme perfectly, it's very clever. Maybe our ears need to get used to it, but the song itself is really great, IMO. (But live = better.)

Rate 'Major Minus' now!
Voted 9/10, the live version being 10/10 and the studio 8/10. I think the song makes up for ETIAW. I like it, it's dark, it's strong and the production fits the theme. Still hoping for more 'pure' songs on LP5 though.

Major Minus: LISTENING PARTY! Countdown to Thursday 23rd June, 9pm (BST)
I really love that the band dropped out at the guitar crunches. That bit I thought is better on the studio version, it makes the guitar stand out from the rest. Jonny goes: 'Heeeere's Jonny!' ;) Apart from that, it's better live, as I expected it to be. I wonder though, why doesn't Will sing in the live version?

Major Minus: LISTENING PARTY! Countdown to Thursday 23rd June, 9pm (BST)
Well, aren't their live versions always better? They're one of the best live bands out there, so... And ooh, does anyone else love the stutters? Would be something Chris does live, but now it's on a studio version! :D

Major Minus: LISTENING PARTY! Countdown to Thursday 23rd June, 9pm (BST)
Don’t know if it’s my connection, but I only just came through :\ But ooooh I absolutely love Major Minus! That guitar....! :dazzled: Will singing and the sound effect, I'm gonna love the edge it gave to Chris' voice. And like Rainy Day said, it fits the subject. I needed this after ETIAW. Interesting choice to put this on the same EP, I think it's very different. (i.e. much better.) Am happy.

Elbow gives props to Coldplay @ Pinkpop 2011
Nice, I remember him saying that. Unfortunately we didn't get to see them very well because we had to queue for Coldplay :( Elbow are great!

Moving To Mars (found via iTunes pre-order)
EMI does need money, but it has been mysterious promotion anyway. So who knows? Maybe they decide next week to release the entire album :P Well, if you count the Prospekt's March edition as deluxe... Would be un-Coldplay, but nice. And EMI needs money.. ;)

Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall / Major Minus / Moving To Mars - CD, vinyl and digital release
Yeah nowhere it says that the three songs are the definite tracklist... :sneaky: Or maybe we're too greedy.

Moving To Mars (found via iTunes pre-order)
*ignores discussion* Does this mean the album will be postponed when they release an EP first? edit: not that they had a release date in the first place..

Most random place you've heard a CP song?
^ lol I can totally picture that A few months ago I heard What If in a pretty fancy shoe store. I went in because of the music and then immediately out, because the salesman stared at me like 'you don't belong here'.

"Hurts Like Heaven" Lyrics
Just thinking a few things: Yes you do (what he didn't finish) Oh you, use your heart as a weapon And it hurts like heaven Streets ... cars ... saints (I hear a C) And at the streets arising you'd rather sing (or maybe sin?) Don't let them take control No we won't let them take control Yes I feel a little bit nervous Yes I feel nervous and I cannot relax Are coming round to get us Are coming round when they don't know the facts So on concrete canvas ... glow in the dark ?? Concrete canvas I will make you my mark Armed with a spray can soul (it says on Chris' guitar) I'll be armed with a spray can soul

[11-June-2011] Coldplay @ Pinkpop Landgraaf festival, Netherlands
They're getting a load of shit because of that money. Thankfully someone posted the the world famous booty dance to crack us up: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9aPtXqiSdw]YouTube - Coldplay - Pinkpop 2011 - Chris joking[/ame] And I think de Volkskrant is known for it's negative reviews. Two years ago they dissed Coldplay for playing with too much 'perfection'. :dozey: They were awesome at Pinkpop, no one can deny.

[11-June-2011] Coldplay @ Pinkpop Landgraaf festival, Netherlands
^ Yeah it's the highlights of Pinkpop, yesterday they showed three or four as well, I think there will be more tonight. On Cultura24 (online channel) there's a broadcast and those are all on youtube I think. It's only an hour's broadcast, so there's a few songs cut out :(
