  1. This thread almost crashed my computer, but it was worth it. There's some top quality artwork here.
  2. Cleggy replied to JJB's topic in Up With The Birds
I hope that only a small portion of the lyrics are used from Anthem. I'd be pissed if they totally stole all the verses.
  3. They're all mainstream, but as of now, Coldplay are the most mainstream band on the list, closely followed by Muse. Especially since a couple of Muse songs were on the Twilight soundtrack.
  4. I'd totally buy that shirt if there was a male version.
  5. Well it sounds like they like it. It seems that Us Against The World is quite a bit different on the album than the way it's played live, which is kind of disappointing. It's also disappointing that Don't Let It Break Your Heart is compared to ETIAW and that heavy strings appear all over the album. However, it has made me slightly more optimistic about the album, I'm expecting Up In Flames to be my favourite track, or perhaps Up With The Birds.
  6. All the footage from last night's show is extremely poor. There's some great clips of Cape Town but the Johannesburg clips are dreadful. On the video that's already been posted I think I can hear Chris shout 'Debs' at about 2:57.
  7. Thanks for posting, I hadn't seen that. These interviews are getting rather repetitive now. The first question is always 'What does Mylo Xyloto mean?'. The band must have answered that question over 20 time now and yet interviewers still ask them. It's just lazy journalism.
  8. Seriously, are people still arguing over whether Mylo Xyloto is a full song with lyrics or not? It's been confirmed by multiple sources that it's identical to the short instrumental that has been played before Hurts Like Heaven at live shows.
  9. No, it would be a rather tame ending considering the songs that went before it.
  10. A new piece of artwork appears and it's suddenly confirmation of an EP? Makes perfect sense.
  11. Oh hi I heard that you were a massive fraud and you're even Croatian. Is this true?
  12. The Oracle: Chris has shown he can tackle both vocal parts live so there's no reason not to. I'm hoping it makes an appearance again after 24th October as I personally loved listening to that played live at the start of the festival dates. The lalalala part might be Rhianna's part. I hope there's a bit more lyrical depth than that and he sung lalalala because her lyrics were about loving the male character or something. It would be weird if Chris sung that I suppose.
  13. Listening to the album in the correct order is what I plan to do, but I think curiosity will get the better of me and I'll listen to some unheard songs first. I might listen to UATW first to see if the whole church organ thing is true.
  14. This is one of the better leak threads, but it doesn't change the fact that the whole 'it's leaked' thing is getting rather boring.
  15. ^ At least make an effort. We know that UFO isn't an instrumental, and it certainly isn't a 'spacy' instrumental. It's an acoustic song. And why the hell do you keep using the word 'bombastic'? It's weird.
  16. It's from The Sun, which by default means it's bullshit. In the article they quote R42 who said 'For no discernible reason, the guitar pickup cuts out.' So here they've basically disproved the whole thing about the band being kicked off stage. The guitar didn't work because of a pickup problem. Yet another terrible article by The Sun.
  17. Disappointing, but I'm glad that they're re-releasing Life is For Living.
  18. This wall was produced before they finished the album. We know it's been around since they released ETIAW because the artwork can be seen on it. By then they hadn't decided on the tracklist and Up in Flames hadn't even been written yet. For those reasons they would never have put the length of the album on there because it wasn't even finished. Any numbers that you see on there probably have nothing to do with track times or album lengths because they didn't actually have that information when the wall was produced.
  19. I think b-sides are more likely. Coldplay have only ever released a post-album EP once, it's certainly not the standard practice for them to release an EP, so don't bet on it.
  20. Amsterdam is almost flawless lyrically, I doubt Chris will ever write lyrics as good as those again. In fact, I don't think he'll ever write a song as good as Amsterdam again.
  21. Oh good lord. Somebody ban Samuel before he has a heart attack.
  22. Haha wow some people are really bored today.
  23. I think they have a pretty good setlist already, but I hope they change it up a bit for the tour. Although I would love it if they swapped LIFL with Amsterdam. LIFL is a great closer but I think Amsterdam is even better. I have no idea why they don't play it anymore, it's a definite fan favourite.
  24. I doubt that it's real. There's too much production in there for it to be just a demo.
