Volume change in iTunes download
This works. Quite a few people have been having the same problem, particularly between AHT and DLIBYH. Sound check is designed to make all the songs in your library have the same volume so you don't suddenly get a random loud song in the middle of a shuffle. DLIBYH appears quieter than AHT because the drums are quite loud so it reduces the drums (and therefore everything else) to the same volume as AHT.

Us Against The World = Car Kids?
I still can't work out why so many people seem to be obsessed with Car Kids. It's not even a good title. With this hype I guarantee you'll be disappointed if its ever released.

A slight problem I have with the Album Version
Agreed. Will should have played a much more prominent role like in the live versions. It feels like they've wasted an opportunity here to create something really special. It's still the best song on the album though.

Petition for a fan concert of the complete Mylo Xyloto
It wouldn't really feel right if they played all of MX in order this early after release, this is the type of thing is what bands tend to do later in their careers. And even then, they should play AROBTTH rather than MX. Yes, it isn't a concept album but honestly neither is MX. Hopefully they'll come to their senses and realise that if they have a masterpiece album, then it's A Rush of Blood to the Head. Ending the concert with Amsterdam would be pure sex.

How does the running man fit into MX?
I'm pretty sure the running man guy was created specifically for the live shows rather than to fit into the album.

Coldplay Continue to Grow, Impress with "Mylo Xyloto" (Examiner - album Review - 4/5)
MX seems to very much be a marmite album, critics are either unbelievably harsh or they rate it very highly. Those negative view are definitely having an strong effect though. So far MX has by far the lowest score on Metacritic than their other albums. However, the general public seem to love it and really thet's more important that what one stuck up critic thinks.

If she's a princess and he's a king... shes his daughter? O_O
Well actually at the moment the British monarch is Queen Elizabeth II and she's married to a guy called Prince Philip. So it's entirely possible for a King to be married to a Princess.

Princess of China and the similarity between a song of Vietnam !?
- Which song is it
It could be anything really. It doesn't sound like anything from the album and it could be an existing piece. There must have been 100 songs written for the album, so this could be one of those that we'll never hear again.- Worst Mylo Xyloto song?
Paradise. It's probably the only song that just jumps out without a proper transition. It sounds extremely out of place. It's annoying because HLH and CB sound great when played together. And in my opinion Paradise is the weakest song on the album musically and lyrically.- Altsounds Review of Mylo Xyloto - 93%
As much as I think the people at Pitchfork are nothing more than a bunch of elitists who think they're a lot more important than they really are, their reviews never fail to entertain me. Their review of The King of Limbs was particularly hilarious. If a band other than Radiohead had released that album, it would have got about a 4/10 from them. There's some artists they like and some they don't like. No matter how good an album is, it's score will always be heavily skewed depending on whether or not they like who've released it. They've hated on Coldplay before, and I seriously doubt anything will change with the Mylo Xyloto review. However, they do seem to have a massive hard-on for electronic music so maybe it'll get a few bonus points due to the use of synths. I'm looking forward to the review even though it will probably contain nothing but bullshit.- [Review] NME Rates Mylo Xyloto 5/10 [Scan added Pg. 3]
A site who hates on Coldplay gives Coldplay a bad review. As the Radiohead song goes... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5CVsCnxyXg]Radiohead - No Surprises - YouTube[/ame]- [Review] musicology.com 2.5/5
I don't know why I keep reading these reviews, I've already decided I like the album. Music reviews are probably the most pointless things ever invented anyway. No matter what album it is, some people will love it, others won't. It's music, it's been that way for hundreds of years. One person's opinion isn't going to change the way somebody feels about and album after they've listened to it.- THIS IS NOT THE FINAL VERSION OF MYLO XYLOTO?
Yep, pretty much this. The mixes/production is identical but it sounds better due to the quality.- Mylo Xyloto officially born in Japan!
Who bought the album originally? Their name and email address is still embedded in the files.- First Impressions of Mylo Xyloto (and vote in the 1-10 sliding scale poll!)
Moving to Mars would only work as an album closer due to its lyrics and to some extent the style of the song. I suppose that's why they left it off the album. It might sound quite effective placed after Up With The Birds, but it would probably cheapen the effect of Up With The Birds. Now I've heard the album I can understand why it was left off. It could easily have replaced Up With The Birds, but I prefer Up With The Birds as the closer.- Mylo Xyloto officially born in Japan!
Just saw your link. Dziekuje bardzo.- Mylo Xyloto officially born in Japan!
If anybody could PM me a link of the Japanese version it would be greatly appreciated.- Up in flames studio version is amazing
I thought that, but then I remembered how it was recorded very late in the process and they probably wouldn't have had time to get her to sing. But I think that it actually might be her.- Rank The Albums
A Rush Of Blood To The Head Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends Mylo Xyloto Parachutes X&Y- THIS IS NOT THE FINAL VERSION OF MYLO XYLOTO?
I don't buy it. As far as we know it was leaked from a copy of the CD that is supposed to be in stores in a few days. But yeah I have it on order anyway.- Post here if you want a PM of the leak file (I want it too)
Anybody still need a PM? I have the link.- Rate Mylo Xyloto
1. Mylo Xyloto: 9 It's a decent intro, it gets even better when A Hopeful Transmission repeats it's melody, it's a great moment. 2. Hurts Like Heaven: 8 It sounds pretty much like the live version which I loved, except it's a little cleaner. It's got some great guitar parts in it. 3. Paradise: 7 I suppose it does a decent job of introducing the female character but it's too long and gets boring towards the end. It sort of fades away from memory after you listen to the rest of the album. 4. Charlie Brown: 9 By far the best melody on the album and I love the piano outro. The contrasting use of loud and quiet parts is fantastic. 5. Us Against The World: 9 The most surprising moment on the album, it's even better than the live version. It probably would have got a 10 if Will's vocals were a little louder. He's a great singer and they should have made more of him. 6. M.M.I.X.: 8 It's just an intro to ETIAW, nothing more, nothing less. It's doesn't really flow well from UATW either which is disappointing. 7. Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall: 8 Admittedly, I hated it when it was first released, but it's an excellent contrast to UATW and deserves its place on the album. 8. Major Minus: 6.5 The weakest track on the album and it should have been more like the live version. It sort of sticks out too much and doesn't flow as well as the rest of the album but it plays a great role in the narrative. 9. U.F.O.: 7 I'm not sure what to think about this one. I like it but it could have been replaced with something much better. It's great how you can hear the chord changes though, it's very different to all the louder, more complex songs and has some good lyrics. 10. Princess Of China: 7 Like Major Minus, it sticks out a little too much and should flow a little better but I was pleasantly surprised with how well Rihanna's voice works with Chris. I would have liked her to play a slightly smaller role in the song but it's not bad at all. 11. Up In Flames: 8 This is perfect after Princess of China due to the contrast between the songs, but it sounds unfinished. Not a bad song by any means though. The 'pour some water on' part should have been sung lower like the live performance. 12. A Hopeful Transmission: 10 You may think I'm mad giving this a 10 but it's my favourite piece of music on the album. I was very impressed with the use of the Mylo Xyloto theme making a comeback later on the album and the way it transitions into DLIBYH is incredible. 13. Don't Let It Break Your Heart: 10 My favourite full song on the album, the only part I don't like is the way Chris sings 'Don't let it break your heart', it sounds a bit childish. Other than that though it's pure gold. 14. Up With The Birds: 9 A very good closer, the lyrics are probably the best on the album and it's a brilliant way to end the narrative and the album. Very impressive.- Biggest Disappointment and Surprise of Mylo Xyloto
Surprises: A Hopeful Transmission, Don't Let It Break Your Heart, ETIAW in the context of the album. Disappointments: Princess of China (needs more Chris vocals), U.F.O (too short) - Which song is it
