I also thought Major Minus might mean "a big, huge negative thing", as has been stated here. I also like the military rank interpretation. I like all of this, all of these speculations. I wish there was some kind of way the Major Minus Media could brainwash me so it would appear as if ETIAW never existed... Yeah, all this has got me excited again. I'd like to add that the lyric "Us against the world" in the title track (we can safely say now, although you never know), which is also a song title, could refer to the White Rose Movement. It all makes sense... Or maybe it doesn't, and it's all just a coincidence and it all means nothing, and tomorrow we will wake up and it has all been just a dream... :dizzy::dizzy2::wacko:

This is almost the same as "no comment". All he does is practically confirm our doubts about everything. But now we know that the release of LP5 won't be for soon, which is quite a bummer. The good thing about it is that it probably means that ETIAW is not the lead single, as it would be too soon for that. It's some kind of "Brick By Brick", if you're into Arctic Monkeys.

^lol He'd rather choose a totally different direction for his band than stop with it altogether. Is what I think. But I don't care what it means really. It sounds ok, probably the only decent lyric in the song.

It's not officially named yet, but we can assume it's going to be Major Minus. And it doesn't have a release date, or did I miss something? By the way, I hope ETIAW won't be on it, but I think it will. Professional reviews of this are inconceivably positive. :confused:

I really like this song, but I have some minor remarks: It seems a bit predictible, the same (good) tune is used throughout the whole song. The "all the boys, all the girls" intermezzo is a bit generic and doesn't add much. I can't help the feeling that I've heard it before. So it's good, really good, but it misses something, I can't put a name to it, something HLH and MM both do have.

This song should be a prime example of a song that I think is lame, but in fact, I love it, and I can't help it. It's growing on me. I was like 'meh' after the first time, but I think I like it more than Charlie Brown now. I love the guitars (Jonny ftw) and also the warm basses, and the latter is something I don't say about many songs.

Exactly. Best thing ever. Absolutely nothing compares. About ETIAW: Bad lyrics, synth sound and stupid ripped melody makes me puke. As immature as it can be. I can already imagine myself listening to LP5 and having a good time, then, for the final song, hearing the afwul synths kick in and ultimately being left with a bad feeling. A feeling I had after seeing their incredible performance yesterday, and I'm afraid I will have it again after their concert I'll attend at Rock Werchter next month. It's like having the best delicious multi-course meal, and then eating shit immediately afterwards. It's that taste that will be in your mouth and you'll feel as if you haven't eaten anything else, anything good. (Note: I have never eaten shit, I can only imagine what it tastes like.)

That might be it lol, I also thought it was weird and made no sense at all, but that's what I really heard and I couldn't think of anything else. Besides, it was cool no matter what.:P

If this will be the album title, and it will, it will be the most epic album title since A Rush Of Blood to the Head.

I get what you're saying. But still, I don't believe they are holding the best things back. I think they're trying to impress as much as they can with their new songs. Even though they aren't really. But that's just my pessimism, you never know. I'd like to add to my previous post that Major Minus is also cool because of the epic title, of which I don't know what the hell it's all about :cool:

Lol, I would still vote ETIAW, because I really don't like Bohemian Rhapsody at all. ETIAW vs Friday is a tough one though, but only because Friday is a good laugh.

I think the remixed beginning of GPASUYF was bad, but it made the rest of the song sound even better than ever before, as it should be. I quite like the comparison of those two songs. Good point there.

Definitely Major Minus. Instrumentally, lyrically, everything. It's just a perfect Coldplay song. I'm waiting for the announcement that says ETIAW is actually a late April fools joke. Wedding Bells is not going to happen, some of the lyrics were used for Christmas Lights.

Excellent. I'm really glad to see they can still do it after the disappointment ETIAW is. In fact, I'm in love with the song. Makes me even think of the Rush of Blood era. Can't wait for the album version. I can't quite distinguish the lyrics though.
