I agree with you. But you could just do a media blackout. Just completely shut yourself out from everything Coldplay related. Block coldplaying.com ... then you'll get what you want. But do you have the will? I wouldn't.

At this point in their career I would absolutely NOT be fine with a long wait. They're in the prime of their career. Keep churning them out! That's what I say! How much thought have you really put into this? Think about it, a 5 year wait would suck!!

2016?! That's absolutely idiotic. Time doesn't guarantee a great album. More time doesn't even correlate with higher quality music. AROBTTH was the quickest follow up they've ever done. And many people view that as their best album.

The earliest significant news we got from MX was around January (?) of the release year, 2011. I think Chris said something along the lines of "its about love, addiction, and working with people you don't like." There was also word from the band that it would ne acoustic (or was that just a rumor?) Regardless, if LP6 has a similar timeline/ release date, you shouldn't expect any news coming out until early 2014.

^Yes I saw it too. I was excited to see that Phoenix was performing because I hadn't heard anything from them since like 4 years ago. Last night was the first time I heard Entertainment. Its stunning. Its everything you'd expect from a "Princess of China" title but obviously Coldplay disappointed on that front. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album! By the way what was the second song on SNL?

Genuinely excited for this. Arcade Fire is the only band I'm even remotely passionate about relative to Coldplay.

Listen it was a very intriguing concept, but when it comes right down to it, it just sounded very out of character and lack luster.

The 2nd Law is garbage.
