Coldplay - Q Awards 2011 WINNERS - Best Act In The World (24th Oct 2011, London) // PHOTOS IN FIRST
Awful? No way. I'd still do horrible, horrible things to him. Even when he looks like that.

Wow! This album is getting slaughtered by the press and fans!
What? The reaction has been mostly positive from what I've seen. Just as positive/negative as Viva was. Or AROBTTH was. Take a look at the forums just after a rush of blood came out. Everyone is moaning and saying that Parachutes was better.

Mylo Xyloto funny stories.
Close your eyes, count to ten and find out.

Brothers and Sisters
I've been listening to this song recently. I think it's really good and if it was recorded better and didn't sound so 90's it would have been a great inclusion on Parachutes. By the way, sorry for the eight year bump.

I GOT MX EARLY !!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!
I'll make it up to you, I swear. I'll give all your family members hand jobs. I won't even charge. So people aren't allowed to put over excited people in their place when they make stupid threads? WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO.

I GOT MX EARLY !!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!
How is this even a point of interest? The album leaked a week ago. No one cares you have the album now. Or are you talking exclusively about the physical copy? If so, then what you are really saying is "I got a plastic case and a booklet with graffiti art work EARLY" Rock on man.

What score will Pitchfork give Coldplay?

Princess of China and the similarity between a song of Vietnam !?
This is the worst analogy I have ever read on these forums. Quite easily. :laugh3: You've confused ignorance of the law with an ignorance of obscure Vietnamese music. Analogies have to be able to draw parallels - you have to cite the equivalent. So the music industry equivalent to ignorance of the law would be.... ignorance of the law. If Coldplay said "Yes, we plagiarised the song but we didn't know that was illegal" then this analogy would work. You seem to be implying that Coldplay have no defense because they have never heard the song before. That is untrue. Having not heard this song before is quite a strong defense actually - and is considered by a civil law court. It's very relevant. Otherwise the court would be implying that musicians must be well versed and familiar with the chord progressions of every officially released song on the planet. Which is a precedent they would never set.

Why do you love reviews so much?

ALL OFFICIAL LYRICS(?) (taken from Jap. Edt.)
How someone can read this and think "Yeah, this seems official, so I better post it on a forum with the word official in capital letters" makes me laugh a lot. It's obviously either a very bad translate or is complete bullshit. These aren't the real lyrics.

so... no car kids??
No possibility of that at all: 11 minutes to go (Chris says car kids is a song about old people complaining about young people. Up with the birds isn't about that): http://www.20min.ch/videotv/?channel...video_id=14917 And the oracle: October 3, 2011 - submitted by Rik, United States of America Q. I've been wondering this for a long while now as I'm sure many others have, it was on Chris' shirt, the home page background. What does Car Kids mean? Is it a lyric or a song on the new album? Thanks Oracle!! The Oracle replies: Yeah, as far as I know it was a song pencilled in for inclusion on Mylo Xyloto but didn't make it on to the final tracklisting. We may hear it one day, who knows? It's not on the album. It's not a reference to Charlie Brown? So? Lyrics from Moving To Mars are plastered all over their instruments too.

I got robbed today..
It's cool :) You do have a point. In many parts of the USA the police are very leniant with civilians carrying weapons, and you can actually get away with self defense very easily. But many places you don't, so we have to make sure we understand the legal system of the person's country before giving out advice that is as serious as carrying weapons.
-
Waking up thinking you have school when you don't.
That's the worst feeling ever.
-
I got robbed today..
Nope. Never give someone advice to carry a weapon ever again. Seriously. That's awful, awful advice. The police don't give a shit if you have it for "security" or "self defense". Even if you are being robbed or assaulted, and you bring out a weapon and do damage to the attacker - you are incredibly likely to be in serious legal trouble. Trust me. You'll get in more trouble for knifing a thief than the thief will for threatening you and robbing you. Don't carry weapons. It doesn't help. Especially if you don't have any training (which the thread starter doesn't). You'll either end up dead or in prison.

First or Second Half?
NO NO NO NO NO NO. I swear to God, if one more person says something stupid about fucking Car Kids I'm going to possibly decapitate them. HERE: Can we PLEASE stop saying ____ is Car Kids! Because there is more than enough proof to say it isn't. CAR KIDS IS A FULL SONG. CAR KIDS DID NOT MAKE THE ALBUM.

Favourite lyric on Mylo Xyloto ?!

Princess of China and the similarity between a song of Vietnam !?
It makes no logical sense for coldplay to steal this hook. If they had truly heard the song before (Which I don't believe they ever have) they would have just sampled it and put her down as a co-writer. After the Viva blow out, the last thing they would do is just plagarise something and try to keep it a secret. There are seven billion people on Earth, the chances of this hook appearing before is pretty damn high.
-
Princess of China and the similarity between a song of Vietnam !?
Says you. I think you're talking nonsense though. I think there is a huge chance this could 100% be a coincidence. If Coldplay really did "plagarise" this, they would have said so - like they did with Peter Allen. I can't see how anyone can call themselves a Coldplay fan and then turn around and imply that the boys are this dishonest and shady. I think this is a total coincidence.

If Moving To Mars Was On MX...
That track list makes no fucking sense contextually at all. Really, really messy. You do understand Mylo Xyloto is a story, right?

Spit or Swallow...
Spit. Sperm. (too obvious?)

Mylo Xyloto the Story
They don't end up together. This, to me, is really evident. That doesn't mean it's not a happy ending. They move on, they hold their head up and they are optimistic about the future. Good things are coming their way. Maybe they'll end up together. The last half of the album is about breaking up with someone but realising the break up actually made you both stronger and put both your feelings in perspective. That's just what I think. I'm sure Coldplay are totally fine with people having their own thoughts about how it ends - but to me, I think it's really clear that they don't end up together.
