Well, I can't stand Snow Patrol. They are fucking awful in my opinion. And I adore this song. So no, I don't agree. I think it sounds like X&Y era Coldplay with their shit together.

These both sound rather close minded to me. It's written like they have already made their mind up about Coldplay and were going to slag this album off no matter what was produced.

You are wrong buddy. Chris has said numerous times that Car Kids is a song about old people getting pissed off and annoyed at the youth. He has also said it's a "really good one". The oracle has also said it is a full song that didn't make the record. It's a full song. It's not on the record. We will hear it eventually.

I LOVE how Chris sings the choruses in DLIBYH. I love how he divides the line into two. =------ And she sang When you're tired of aimimmmmm mmmingyour arrows Still you never hit the mark. oooh And even if your aimmmmm sssss are shadows. ------- You know what I mean? WELL I LOVE THAT.

I'm sure we will hear live acoustic versions with just Chris on the piano. He did a few of those for VLV promotions after the album dropped. So yeah, stay tuned.

This. It's impossible to chose separate songs, because a part of what makes them amazing is the context they play in the album. That's why DLIBYH is probably my favourite new song - it's because of the role it plays.

Probably because she feels the hate is either unwarranted, overblown or irrelevant. If it's either one of those three, then I agree. Or maybe she's just sick of hearing a bunch of negative, smug hipster pseudo-intellectuals beat a dead horse to death about how this music isn't "real" or is too "mainstream". To be honest, that's what most of the haters are like.

I think the run of the whole second half of the album is perfect. UIF morphing into AHT and DLIBYH is my favourite part of the album. It's beautiful.

It's certainly an emotional song - it's one of the most emotional on the record. It's about going on a personal journey to reconcile heartbreak. It's fucking beautiful.

It's one of the best songs they've ever done. I love how it turns the album around, it resolves the conflict with a huge bang - it's probably the most important track on the record.

Yeah, it's either that or: "So we soar luminous and wired. We'll be glowing in the dark". To be honest I'm not sure what one it is. Soar makes more sense to me though, I doubt he'd say: "so we're so" Sounds silly.

After reading a lot of your posts, I think it's your own mindset that is the problem. Comments like saying "real coldplay" proves it. This is as "real" as Coldplay ever have been and ever will. Using synths and hip hop bass/drum beats doesn't make this not "real". It's the artistic direction the boys want to take.
