Favorites are Identikit, Present Tense and Decks Dark.... such a gorgeous album.

Yeah, there are parts in the song (Everglow) wherein you can't really understand what Chris is saying. It's like he has a cold when recording the song. It's kinda funny because Everglow contains these lyrics: "when I'm cold, cold..."

I thought that's the correct lyrics until I checked the official lyrics at Coldplay.com. It says birds instead of book :)

I agree with gentleparachute. With the release of A Head Full of Dreams, I see a different band. It's Coldplay alright but without giving a f***k on charts, records, on what the critics have to say.. everything. Seems like the band is indeed in a much comfortable place right now. The album for me is being grateful that we are alive, whether we are currently experiencing pain and challenges or simply mesmerized by how simple things could bring happiness... I found peace in this record though sometimes there are certain points wherein it gets too poppy for my taste.

yeah, tough to beat Adele's 25. Hope they get the top spot in the UK though

One of the things I love about Coldplay is that they are not scared to incorporate various genres in their sound. And even though they do that, they still maintain their signature sound. By the way, I really like the TFI Friday version of Amazing Day. Classic for me.

It's true. Artists usually has a different setlist for the Japanese market (mostly bonus tracks in the end)... the so called "Japanese Edition".. and I really can't understand the logic behind it. I mean there are some instances that an album has a deluxe edition but also has a Japanese version. Can't they just release a standard setlist or the deluxe edition if they want to further promote the album?

I hope Coldplay won't play too many songs from the new album before the target release date.

Is there a HQ version of A Head Full of Dreams album art?

Not what I'm expecting. I was even confused for a while. Okay, so I'll give the song 8 for now. I love the funkiness, Guy's bass (just wow!), the songs's bridge and the riff (echoes Strawberry Swing, Hurts Like Heaven and Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall).

Coldplay's confirmation totally made my day. Hope to hear the single this week.

Yes it is. Pretty much like the Reflektor logo of Arcade Fire. Could be a great icon for the band.

There's nothing wrong with that. I think their second record is a solid one though I still find GS superior over it musically. If you do enjoy Smoke and Mirrors, then good for you.

I suddenly remembered Arcade Fire's logo for Reflektor... That flower of life symbol is great but I think it's not hte album art. probably just a symbol for the new era.
